Resurrection, Qinuo, you said you could resurrect my mother!"
Jean's eyes instantly widened, filled with disbelief and pleasant surprise, her voice trembling slightly with excitement.
"Yes, but I don't have enough energy right now. It will take some time."
"Thank you, truly thank you." Jean wrapped her two fair arms around Qinuo, and her red lips pressed against his.
Qinuo was stunned. How many times had he been forcefully kissed now?
"Hey, coward, that's enough. It's my turn to hug Qinuo."
Black Phoenix stepped forward and pulled Jean away, her face full of dissatisfaction. "You're still clinging even though you've stopped crying."
"Thank you too, Black Phoenix."
Jean hugged Black Phoenix, kissing her several times.
For all these years, she had been bearing her pain.
"Wow, you're a pervert! Let go of me." Black Phoenix struggled fiercely.
"Thank you," Jean's voice was filled with deep gratitude.
The next day,
Everyone gathered under the big tree.
"This tree is truly massive. All the plants in Hell are connected to this great tree, and looking at the bark, it's still in its infancy."
Hank circled the tree once, marveling.
Logan pulled Scott aside.
"Scott, you're quite something, hooking up with a female demon in just one night." Logan teased, winking.
"No, I was just asking her for directions." Scott's face immediately turned red as he quickly explained.
"Oh, come on. Do you really need to be that close just to ask for directions?"
Logan pouted, looking unconvinced.
Yesterday, while drinking, he saw Scott leaning close to a tall, red-skinned female demon, chatting and laughing.
"Scott, what's wrong with you? Your face is as pale as a corpse."
Logan looked at the listless Scott beside him, full of confusion.
"Nothing, I was just a little tired yesterday," Scott said weakly.
Scott hadn't expected Hell to have such a place. He couldn't go there often, but thinking of last night's beautiful dream, he almost didn't want to leave Hell.
"Uncle Charles, who are we waiting for?"
Nina asked with curiosity.
Eric had not taken his wife and daughter with him, entrusting them to his old friend.
"We are waiting for our King."
Charles looked at Nina kindly, as if she were his own child.
His old friend had returned, much of his hatred for humans had vanished, and there was hope for the future of Mutants. Everything was developing in a positive direction.
Ororo had been watching the palace. A group of people emerged from the palace.
Jean was at the forefront, skipping and jumping, chattering animatedly with the King, looking to be in a good mood.
"Jean, how was your rest yesterday?"
When Ororo's call reached her ears, Jean's beautiful eyes turned to her.
She bent slightly, striking a standard starting pose, and then she dashed towards Ororo.
Despite being slightly surprised by Jean's uncharacteristic behavior, Ororo's face still held a warm smile, and she unhesitatingly opened her arms, ready to embrace and receive her good sister's enthusiastic charge.
However, what happened next completely exceeded Ororo's expectations.
Jean leaped directly over Ororo, soaring into the air, her long, graceful legs cutting a fierce arc as she delivered a flying kick towards that person.
Accompanied by an angry shout: "Die, you bald bastard!" The entire scene instantly fell into a dead silence.
Charles, caught completely off guard, took Jean's kick squarely, directly hitting his vulnerable kidney area.
With a dull thud, Professor X tumbled helplessly several times on the ground like a struck bowling pin before finally coming to a stop.
At this moment, all the X-Men present were as if spellbound, each staring wide-eyed at the incredible scene before them.
They could not have imagined that Jean, who was usually deeply trusted and loved by Professor X, would actually strike her mentor so viciously.
For a moment, everyone's minds went blank with shock, completely unsure how to react to this sudden situation.
"Satisfying. I've wanted to do that for ages."
Black Phoenix tidied her disheveled hair, a look of exhilaration on her face, and much of her inner negativity had lessened.
"Uncle Charles!"
Nina was the first to react, running to the fallen Charles's side, struggling to help him up.
Ororo also rushed to Jean's front as if waking from a dream, her face full of anger as she demanded, "Jean, what exactly are you doing?!"
When her gaze met Jean's ink-black pupils, her heart sank instantly, and she immediately understood that the person before her was not the gentle, kind sister she knew.
So, Ororo instinctively took a few steps back, and a dazzling white light immediately flared in her eyes as she entered combat mode.
"You're not Jean! What have you done to Jean?!"
Almost simultaneously, Logan and the others quickly gathered around.
With a whoosh, Logan unhesitatingly extended his incredibly sharp steel claws, while Scott, standing nearby, had his special eye device begin to glow red, and Kurt also nervously prepared for battle.
For a moment, the atmosphere was very tense.
Hank also immediately went to Charles's side to examine him. Lifting his clothes, he saw that the skin wasn't even broken, just a little dust on his body.
Nina and Jenna also saw this, and just as they were about to speak, Charles opened his eyes and quietly motioned for silence.
Nina covered her mouth and nodded.
Hank understood that the Professor must have done something wrong and was now playing the victim. He shook his head helplessly, thinking that his old friend was truly as good at feigning helplessness as ever.
"The coward you're looking for is over there. I am Black Phoenix."
Black Phoenix pointed with a small hand. Everyone followed her direction and saw another Jean standing beside Qinuo.
Looking back and forth, aside from the eye color, everything else was identical.
"Jean, who is she?"
Ororo looked bewildered, her gaze moving back and forth between the two Jeans, trying to find some difference.
Jean walked to Black Phoenix's side.
"Black Phoenix, you can think of her as my other personality."
"Then why did she kick the Professor?"
"Because my second personality was created because of the Professor, casually sealing my childhood memories."
Jean looked at Charles lying on the ground, her expression complex, with both concern for Charles's condition and anger at his past actions.
No one likes it when someone tampers with their memories, but the years of mentorship and affection were not fake.
Logan immediately retracted his steel claws. He had a lot to say about memory.
Sealing someone else's memories without consent and creating a second personality was indeed excessive.
He dragged Scott and Kurt to one side.
"Let me tell you about the good wine I drank yesterday. The taste…"
"Then I want to try it next time too."
"But the Professor…"
"He won't die."
Logan said indifferently. If she really wanted to kill him, it wouldn't have been a flying kick.
Ororo was also speechless, looking at the Professor with a complicated expression. Sealing memories and creating a second personality—one could only say the kick was too light.
Charles also woke up at the opportune moment, supported by Hank as he stood up, looking weakly at Jean.
"Jean, your memories have returned."
"Yes, Professor. Do you have anything to say?"
"I am very happy. Although it's in a different way, you've gained control of your abilities and completely let go of the past. I am very proud," Charles said with a relieved smile.
"Because I found a new pillar of strength and won't lose control again." Jean looked at Qinuo not far away and smiled slightly.
"And I am very sorry. Although it was for your own good, I was too arrogant and didn't trust you. I apologize."
Saying this, Charles pulled away from Hank's arm, about to bow to Jean.
A pair of hands rested on Charles's shoulders, preventing him from bowing.
"I forgive you, Professor."
