Chapter 93 - 93

Qinuo and Venom arrived at Dr. Banner's lab, hearing a cacophony of sounds even before reaching the door.

"Doctor, you must save me."

"I am not a Doctor. You can call me Dr. Banner."

"Alright, Doctor Banner, is there still hope for me? If not, please help me donate my second brother; he hasn't experienced enough yet."

"Shut up! You're not dead, so why are you donating? And who would want that thing of yours anyway!"

"Doctor Banner, but I can't feel my body anymore. I'm probably paralyzed.

And that's the Rotating Accelerating Jet Armstrong Cannon; I've used it for twenty years, and it's still like new."

"I…"

Qinuo shook his head helplessly, pushed the door open, and walked in.

Dr. Banner, who was holding an iron rod as if to smash something, lowered it upon seeing Qinuo and Venom.

"Young Master, Madam, you've arrived."

"Banner, how is he doing?" Qinuo asked.

Dr. Banner pushed up his glasses and began to recount the results of his night's research.

"This guy's body is very peculiar; cancer cells and self-healing factors coexist, reaching a state of balance that grants him powerful healing abilities.

However, because the healing factors are external and haven't undergone genetic modification, they've integrated into his genes in an extremely crude way, causing his healing factors and cancer cells to fight, resulting in disfiguring side effects."

Qinuo looked at Deadpool on the lab table, who lay naked and motionless, with only a piece of White cloth covering his lower body.

An iron needle was still inserted into his neck to prevent the nervous system from self-healing.

"Wade, aren't you going to say hello to your fans?"

"Wade? That name sounds like a handsome celebrity, and while I'm happy you're calling me that,

I'm Deadpool. You've got the wrong person."

Deadpool rambled incessantly, a jaded expression on his face, yet his eyes betrayed pain and embarrassment.

Venom tilted her head.

"Only that pervert Wade could talk so much."

"Hey! Little girl, you've never even met Wade. How can you call him a pervert?"

Wade glanced at Venom, confirming he hadn't seen her before.

"Then, how about this… Do you remember now?!"

Venom transformed into her original form during the latter part of her sentence.

A black body, pale eyes, and a mouth full of fangs.

"Oh my God!"

Deadpool's eyes widened, his exaggerated expression making it seem as if his eyeballs would pop out. Even Dr. Banner was startled.

Seeing Deadpool's expression, Venom transformed back into her human form.

"Do you know who I am now?"

"Boss, you have a great appetite. Could you tell me about the experience? I want to get one too."

Deadpool's eyes were complex, showing a mix of curiosity, surprise, and admiration.

"You're not denying you're Wade this time," Qinuo teased.

"That's right, I'm Wade, your former idol. Just a few days after we parted, I was diagnosed with cancer, and after a series of torments, I finally survived, but my whole body turned into this.

I can't even go home with this damn face. That damned Francis! I must find him and get my face back to normal.

Oh, right, the Stark stock you told me to buy later plummeted, which scared my little heart, but then it surged, making me a fortune."

Deadpool seemed to have opened a floodgate, rambling on and on with complaints, his expression alternating between anger and joy, his thought process truly erratic.

Qinuo suddenly interjected.

"You made a fortune, so why were you here trying to steal from me?"

Deadpool's expression froze, then he retorted stubbornly, "I was just trying to scam some mercenary fees. Who knew that old geezer blew up all the medicine and money? Just thinking about it breaks my heart."

"Do you want to work for me?"

"No, Boss, even though you're generous, I have to find Francis. Otherwise, if my face doesn't go back to normal, Vanessa will leave me."

Deadpool spoke quickly, his eyes revealing determination and a strong desire to restore his appearance.

"That's impossible," Dr. Banner said.

"…"

"What did you say?"

The expression on Deadpool's face slowly vanished.

"Restoring your appearance is impossible. Only when the self-healing factors and cancer cells in your body are balanced can you remain unharmed.

But once that balance is lost, you'll either die from cancer cells or your self-healing factors will spiral out of control, turning you into a lump of flesh.

At least, I don't believe someone who conducted such crude experiments possesses other…"

Dr. Banner's words were cut short by a crude interruption.

"You're full of crap!!!

You're only saying that because you're not capable enough. Francis told me he could turn me back to my original appearance.

That's right, I'm going to find him now. I'll prove to you that I can definitely change back."

Deadpool roared in anger, and his body, which had been restrained by the blocked nervous system, slowly sat up.

His eyes were bloodshot, veins bulged on his forehead, and his furious expression seemed ready to tear everything in front of him to shreds.

Restoring his appearance was the motivation that kept him going until now. For someone to tell him it was impossible was undoubtedly extinguishing his last spark of hope. How could he possibly accept it?

"How is that possible?"

Dr. Banner was incredulous and quickly went to the instrument to check.

Under the instrument's analysis, the metal spike that had severed the entire nervous system was being pushed out of its original position by flesh and blood, and one-third of the nerves had already been repaired.

Clink!

Deadpool pulled the metal spike from his body and casually threw it on the ground. He grabbed the White cloth around him, glanced at Qinuo, and left without looking back.

His resolute back seemed to carry a reckless madness.

Just as Deadpool was about to walk out the door.

"I can help you restore your appearance," Qinuo said.

Deadpool paused, turned to look at Qinuo, and said nothing.

"It will take ten minutes to take effect," Qinuo's voice was calm and assured.

A demonic contract appeared in Qinuo's hand, the paper emitting a mysterious, dim glow. This was Shadow's ability contract.

"Sign it, and you can recover."

Deadpool took it and signed his name without hesitation; after all, things couldn't get any worse.

The contract vanished without a trace the moment he signed his name.

Deadpool also sensed the new ability in his mind, and an excited gleam flashed in his eyes.

As the ability was used, the pockmarks on Deadpool's skin gradually healed at a visible rate, and his originally uneven skin became smooth and even.

His body hair also began to grow, from sparse strands to a dense layer, spreading rapidly like spring wild grass.
