Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3. REINCARNATION

CHAPTER 3. REINCARNATION

The book *"Kaze no Kokuoro"* began to glow with an ethereal light, strange energy swirling around it.

Before Takeru could figure out what was happening, he felt himself being pulled into the book with a dizzying sensation.

The flying book fell onto the bed with a silent thud.

Meanwhile, Takeru woke up in an unfamiliar room—a lavish chamber with walls adorned by delicate _shoji_ screens painted with cherry blossoms, and the floor covered in soft, plush tatami mats.

A low wooden desk sat by the window, with a view of a manicured garden blanketed in snow.

Takeru felt different, both physically and mentally.

He glanced at the surroundings, and everything hit him.

He recalled he was transported into the book.

Could it be he was reincarnated into his favorite novel?

But before Takeru could express his happiness, the door burst open with a dramatic slam.

A flock of maids in crisp, pastel-colored uniforms banged into the room, holding expensive clothes and shoes.

"Young Master Matsumoto Kaito!" they chimed, addressing him with bows." Your bathe awaits."

Without waiting for his permission, he was dragged to the bathroom, bathed, and freshened up in a whirlwind of efficient movements.

Something which he didn't feel before. Everything felt like a dream.

He stood in front of the mirror, and what he saw made his heart bleed.

Instead of reincarnating into his favorite character, he was reincarnated into the worst side character in the book,

*Matsumoto Kaito*—the useless character in the book who had no power and was bullied throughout the story although he hadn't read past the first page.

But the beginning said it all.

"No, this can't be, I can't be Kaito," he complained, hitting and slapping himself in disbelief, but it was no use.

Defeated, he fell to his knees on the tatami mat, his breaths ragged.

Meanwhile, the maids in the room were confused, floating question marks hung on their heads like _thought bubbles_ in a manga.

They wondered if their Young Master was going crazy for being powerless in a world where everyone had superpowers.

The maids exchanged worried glances, whispering among themselves. "Is Young Master Matsumoto Kaito...okay?" one of them murmured.

Takeru-kun barely nodded.

Meanwhile, the other maids, despite their confusion about Young Master Matsumoto Kaito's odd behavior, continued to attend to him with practiced efficiency.

They helped him into formal school attire befitting a young master of the Matsumoto household—

a dark hakama with the family crest embroidered in silver on the back.

As they dressed him, they chatted about the day's schedule: classes at the prestigious Seisho Academy for young nobles with superpowers, where Matsumoto Kaito would study alongside other young masters and mistresses honing their abilities.

Matsumoto Kaito (Takeru's consciousness) felt a growing unease.

In this world, everyone had superpowers—elemental abilities like fire or water manipulation, physical enhancements like super strength, or utility powers like teleportation.

But Kaito had none. In the novel *"Kaze no Kokuoro"*, this had led to relentless bullying and isolation for Kaito. What would happen here?

As the maids finished dressing him, they led him to the entrance hall where his school bag was waiting.

When he saw the bag adorned with the Seisho Academy emblem, reality sank in—he was expected to attend school like any other young master, despite being powerless.

The maids bowed. "Young Master Matsumoto Kaito, you'll need to head to Seisho Academy. The carriage is waiting."

Matsumoto Kaito's anxiety spiked. How would he fit in among students with superpowers? He hadn't read much of the novel past the introduction, but what he knew of Kaito's fate wasn't promising.
