*You knew you could get expelled from being too loud?*
Entry One: The Moon's Call
The full moon hung high above the academy, casting its cold, silver light across the ancient stone walls. It illuminated the fractures left behind — scorched flags from the last attack, cracked stone from where the Bones had breached the gate. The repairs were superficial. The wounds ran deeper.
Two weeks had passed since the battle. Two weeks since I felt the shadows surge to protect those I cared about. Since Kael and I fought side by side, fire and shadow in sync — too synchronized to be accidental.
Since then, everything had changed.
The professors said we'd driven the Bone-creatures back. But I knew better. That was no victory — just a pause.
The students walked like ghosts now, eyes scanning every corner. Magic still buzzed in the air — tense, watchful. The Hollow hadn't gone silent. If anything, it whispered louder.
And through it all, the bond between Kael and me had grown tighter. Hungrier. There were nights I couldn't sleep without feeling him in my blood — embers under my skin, shadows curling against my ribs.
Jaren noticed. He hadn't said anything, not outright, but his glances cut sharper than swords. He studied Kael like an opponent. Me like a puzzle. And every time I passed him in the hall, I felt the weight of what I hadn't told him.
What I'd never tell him.
Malrik had slithered back into the shadows, but I felt his presence too — like oil beneath water, slick and dangerous. He was watching. Waiting.
But none of it mattered tonight.
Because tonight, the moon called.
And the bond refused to be silenced.
The wind tore at the curtains as I slipped quietly from my room, shadows stretching from my fingertips, trembling with anticipation…
Entry Two: The Pull
As I stepped closer, the shadows wound around my arms, cold and fluid. Kael's fire flared, hot and sharp, reaching out to meet them.
We didn't say much. Words felt cheap, meaningless against the storm rising between us.
His hands found my waist, gripping hard enough to pull me flush against him, heat radiating through the thin fabric of my shirt.
I arched into him, the shadows tightening like chains, my breath hitching.
"We're playing with something dangerous," I whispered, fingers digging into the flame-tender skin of his forearm.
Kael's gaze dropped to my lips, and that flicker of control shattered.

Entry Three: The Storm Breaks
He kissed me hard — fierce, demanding, every inch of him burning with need.
I melted against him, shadows flooding over us like dark silk, wrapping around his fire like it was the only thing holding me steady.
Our hands explored, urgent and reckless, tearing at the last barriers.
When his fingers slipped beneath my shirt, tracing fire along my ribs, a shiver ripped through me.
"Fuck," he growled against my mouth. "I've wanted this for too long."
I pulled his shirt over his head, nails scraping hot skin as I swallowed him down — rough, hungry, raw.
The room around us seemed to disappear, replaced by the heat between us, crackling and alive.

Entry Four: Burning Down
Our bodies moved in a frantic rhythm, fire and shadow colliding, igniting every nerve ending.
Kael's hands left a trail of fire over my skin, every touch a spark, every kiss a wildfire.
I wrapped my shadows tight, pulling him closer, desperate to drown in the heat.
"Gods, you're so fucking perfect," he breathed, voice thick with need.
I bit back a moan, fingers tangling in his hair as I ground against him, every movement setting something wild loose inside.
The bond flared, raw and unrelenting, sending shocks of pleasure and power that blurred the line between pain and bliss.

Entry Five: The Aftermath
When it was over, we lay tangled in the wreckage of what had been my room — shattered wood, scorched fabric, and a lingering scent of smoke.
Our breaths came in ragged gasps, skin flushed and slick.
Kael traced lazy circles on my bare back, eyes dark and heavy.
"We destroyed everything," I said, voice hoarse but full of a wild smile.
He chuckled low. "Worth every damn second."
The bond pulsed steady between us, fierce and undeniable.
Outside, the moon kept watch, silent and cold.
But inside, the fire raged on.
