A Simple Guide to This World

Ten years ago, Star City changed forever. On one rainy night, a big Gate opened in the center and destroyed everything. Monsters came out—strange, scary creatures. Some people disappeared, some got weird powers, and a lot of buildings fell.

Since that night, the world has never gone back to normal. Everyone's life is about survival.

How People Got Powers

After the Cataclysm, small glowing stones appeared—people call them "system seeds." If you touch one, you either get a strange mark on your skin (that's a "system") and special powers... or you get nothing. Some were lucky, some were not.

A system can give you:

Strength,

Speed,

Magic abilities,

The power to fight monsters,

Or, for a rare few like Qiren, the power to "steal" or "tame" monsters.

But there's always a cost: maybe using your power hurts, makes you tired, or changes your memory.

Types of People Now

Ordinary People: No powers. Just trying to live safely.

Relic Users: People who use old magical tools from the ruined city.

System Users: People with a system mark and special powers.

Crown Bearers: The seven strongest system users in the city. Almost legends.

Monsters

After the first Gate, monsters started living everywhere. They're ranked by how dangerous they are:

D-class: Weak. Annoying but not deadly.

C-class: Harder to fight. Come in groups.

B-class: Very strong. Hard for most system users.

A-class: Almost unstoppable.

S or Crown-level: The biggest. No one fights them alone.

Why the Main Character (Qiren) Has His Power

Qiren was unlucky—an outcast in the city, always running from danger. The system seed bonded to him during a desperate moment. His mark is special: it lets him steal powers from monsters or even tame them. Nobody else has a system quite like his, and no one really knows why. Maybe he was just in the wrong place at the right time, or maybe the Gate "chose" him for a reason.

Everyday Life

Most people try to stay in "safe zones," which are protected by guards or the Ministry. Some parts of the city are wild—full of monsters and ruins. There are groups, like:

The Ministry: The law. They want to control all system users.

The Syndicates: Like gangs. They steal, trade relics, and have their own rules.

Gatewalkers: Wanderers, hunters, or lonely survivors who do their own thing.

Everyone just wants to get by, but Gates can open any time, anywhere.
