Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Battle for the Top Spot

The classroom was quite large, capable of accommodating 80 people, but currently only half full. The front featured a blackboard, and the walls were painted a soft white. It seemed this would be the place where we would study from now on. I found a seat in the back row and sat down, with the Huo brothers sitting beside me.

The bell rang, and a female teacher in her late twenties walked in. She wasn't very tall, with shoulder-length black hair, a delicate and elegant appearance, and a gentle demeanor. She cleared her throat and announced loudly, "Students, please quiet down. Class is about to begin." Her voice was crisp and pleasant to the ear.

The teacher was so young—this was completely unexpected.

The classroom fell silent.

"Let me introduce myself first. My name is Zhuang Jing, and I will be the homeroom teacher for this class. I will be responsible for magic-related courses. I hope everyone will cooperate with me actively, work hard in your training, bring honor to the academy, and also bring honor to our Magic and Martial Arts First-Year Class 6. If you have any questions about magic, feel free to come find me." I thought to myself: This teacher seems quite approachable. At such a young age, she must have extraordinary abilities to be teaching us freshmen.

"Now, please introduce yourselves, starting from the first row on the left."

The first person on the left side of the first row was a girl. If she were a man, she would be considered broad-shouldered and sturdy, standing at least 180 cm tall, with a waist circumference roughly matching her height. To describe her in modern terms—a globe. She showed no signs of nervousness, standing up abruptly and saying, "Hello, Mr. Zhuang, Hello, everyone. My name is Feng Juan. I have studied some fire-based magic and some family-transmitted martial arts. I hope to exchange ideas with everyone in the future... (the rest is omitted for 1,000 words)." Wow, this is just a chatterbox, never ending. Finally, Mr. Zhuang couldn't help but interrupt, "Alright, Feng Juan, that's enough. Next."

The plump Feng Juan reluctantly sat down, but it was clear she wasn't satisfied.

The next person was a very slim and small boy, a stark contrast to Feng Juan. He stood up and said in a hoarse voice, "My name is Long Zhuang. Please take care of me in the future." After speaking, he sat down with a thud.

...

Finally, it was my turn. I stood up and tried to keep my voice as gentle as possible, saying, "My name is Lei Xiang." " Many of the girls in the class noticed my tall stature and handsome face and gave me flirtatious glances. I could handle the others, but when I accidentally caught Feng Juan's flirtatious glance, I almost vomited last night's dinner. I forced myself to suppress the acid rising in my throat and quickly sat down.

The homeroom teacher clearly took an interest in me and asked, "What have you studied before, Lei Xiang?"

I had no choice but to stand up again, but I dared not look around anymore. I looked straight at Teacher Zhuang and said, "I've studied some martial arts and qi cultivation."

"Oh, haven't you studied magic?"

"No."

"Then you'll have to work hard to catch up with everyone else."

"Yes, teacher."

The Huo brothers then introduced themselves, and their identical appearances left a deep impression on everyone.

"Alright, everyone has introduced themselves. I hope that in the future, the students will respect and care for one another, and work together to strive for progress. Next, we need to elect a class monitor to help me manage the class. How should we go about selecting one?"

A student named Wood stood up and said, "Teacher, as far as I know, every class in the academy has a top student. Why don't we hold a competition to select the top student, and then have him serve as class monitor? This way, it will be more convincing."

Teacher Zhuang nodded and smiled, "That's a good idea. Do any of you have other suggestions?"

Most of the students had no objections, and those who didn't speak up couldn't come up with a better idea. Teacher Zhuang then announced, "Next class, everyone will go to Training Ground 4 to select the class monitor through a competition. Class dismissed."

I quietly asked the Huo brothers beside me, "Can we abstain? What's the point of being class monitor? It'll interfere with our cultivation."

Huo Xing replied, "It shouldn't affect cultivation. I heard that if the class monitor maintains good relations with the teachers, they can learn more from them. The academy has a Dragon Group, and only the top students from each class in the second year and above are eligible to join. I heard that they can learn more advanced techniques there. The academy has six grades, with roughly six classes per grade, so the Dragon Group should have around 30 members. They are the true elite of the academy."

So being class monitor does have its benefits—at least there's a chance to get better learning opportunities. It seems I can't give up yet.

There was no time to rest during break, so I followed the crowd straight to Training Ground 4. Training Ground 4 is behind the academic building and has always been used by the Magic and Martial Arts Class students.

The girls in the class were chatting frequently, and I could faintly hear my name mentioned in their whispers. I instinctively touched my face—am I really that handsome?

A few girls who thought they were pretty came over to strike up a conversation with me, trying to charm me with their looks. But with their level of attractiveness, how could they possibly make me interested? They all got a cold shoulder from me.

Finally, we arrived at the location. The fourth training ground was inside a large building, surrounded by five-story stands that could seat around 400 to 500 people. In the center was a large stage measuring 20 meters in length and width.

Mr. Zhuang walked onto the stage and said, "Alright, let's proceed with the draw. Are there any students who wish to withdraw?"

"Yes, yes, yes." Really? Over half of them withdrew, mostly girls. Mr. Zhuang counted them, and in the end, exactly 16 people remained. After the draw, they were divided into eight groups, facing off against each other. The winners advanced, and the losers were eliminated.

My first opponent was Huo Xing. He made a helpless gesture toward me and said, "Lei Xiang, come on, let's have a go." I nodded and stepped onto the stage first.

Huo Xing drew his long sword and said, "I won't hold back, so you better give it your all."

I replied, "Let's go."

"Great Fire God, grant me endless flames." As Huo Xing chanted, his long sword gradually turned red, emitting billowing heat. I remained standing still, waiting for his move.

Huo Xing roared loudly, swiftly charging toward me, and swung his sword down with force. I sidestepped lightly, not dodging his sword. The long sword struck my shoulder directly. Huo Xing clearly didn't expect me to be so weak and quickly retracted his strength to avoid injuring me. But the momentum was too great to stop, and the sword, filled with flame energy, struck my shoulder with a "thud."

In truth, from the force of his strike, I knew he couldn't hurt me. I had intentionally let him hit me. My shoulder only felt slightly burned. I smiled at him, raised my left hand to grasp his long sword, and struck out with my right palm.

Fire Xing felt that his sword striking my body was like striking solid ice. The sword hilt, which I had grabbed, couldn't move at all. The blade, filled with fire elements, couldn't cut through my palm. In astonishment, he was knocked off the stage by my palm strike.

The entire process took only a few seconds. I mainly used the force of my palm strike, which didn't injure him. When Hu Xing landed below the stage, he couldn't help but look at his long sword—the blade had actually bent slightly.

He asked in disbelief, "Lei Xiang, what kind of martial arts is this? You're not afraid of being struck by a sword?"

I replied calmly, "It's not that I'm not afraid; it's that your strength isn't enough. Do you want to try again?"

Fire Xing shook his head and said, "No need. I concede."

The other students below were stunned. They never expected the first match to end this way, and they couldn't help but look at me with new respect. I immediately became the favorite to win the championship.

Teacher Zhuang announced, "Lei Xiang wins the first match. The next match is Feng Juan vs. Huo Xing."

I walked off the stage, patted Huo Xing on the shoulder, and said, "Be satisfied. You're the first person to lose to me and walk away unscathed." Huo Xing was stunned by my words. I didn't bother with him anymore and looked up to watch the match on stage.

Huo Xing and Feng Juan had already started fighting on stage. Feng Juan wielded a large hammer, swinging it up and down with great force. The heavy hammer moved effortlessly in her hands, as light as a feather. The hammer was also imbued with fire-based magic. Though her build appeared bulky, her movement speed was no slower than a leaf, gracefully maneuvering around Mars and gradually cornering him. The strong wind generated by the hammer kept Mars from getting within three meters of her. She could only use her long sword to test the waters with some fire-based magic. This plump woman truly had extraordinary strength.

Fire Xing sighed, "Is that even a woman? She's terrifying."

I said calmly, "Your brother is going to lose. He can't even use his own strengths."

Sure enough, as soon as I finished speaking, Mars' sword was knocked away by Feng Juan's hammer, which stopped three inches above his head, turning Mars' face pale with fear.

Feng Juan smirked triumphantly, "You've lost." She became the second person to advance to the quarterfinals.

The top eight were determined in just one class period. My next opponent was a male student named Luo Lei, who used a gun. From my observation, his gunmanship was cunning, but his strength was lacking.

In the first match of the second round, Luo Lei and I entered the arena simultaneously under Teacher Zhuang's announcement. Luo Lei said, "You won too easily just now. I won't give you that kind of opportunity."

I snorted coldly without responding.

"If he wasn't holding back or underestimating his opponent, I won't make the same mistake. Alright, let me show you what true martial arts are. Watch this—Starry Sky Spreads!" As he spoke, his two-meter-long gun emitted a shower of light points, sweeping toward me. The name was fitting; the gun tip emitted a buzzing sound of fighting energy, and I couldn't discern where he was aiming. His strength was indeed superior to Huo Xing's.

I raised my arm to shield my eyes, channeling the Heavenly Thunder Armor technique throughout my body. My clothes were filled with thick qi, and I felt a slight stinging pain as the Thunder Strike technique, Starry Sky Scatter, struck every inch of my body.

I lowered my hand and coldly stared at him. The Thunderbolt looked at me in astonishment, muttering, "Now I know how he lost earlier. You truly are invulnerable to blades and spears."

"I am not invulnerable; it's just that your power is insufficient."

Luo Lei spoke firmly, "I won't give up. Come again. Steady earth, use your powerful force to pierce the enemy before you—Earth Spear." It turned out he was a earth magic user.

The ground shook beneath my feet, and a massive earth spike surged forward. I dodged backward, though I managed to avoid it, it still sent a cold sweat down my back. Such a large earth spike—even with my defensive capabilities, I couldn't guarantee I wouldn't be injured at all. Just then, a second earth spike surged forward.

Dodging wasn't a viable solution. I charged forward with all my strength. Earth spikes kept erupting behind me. I narrowly dodged wave after wave of spikes. Though I avoided the frontal assault, I couldn't escape being scraped in several places. Without my exceptional defensive capabilities, I might have been covered in wounds, but my clothes were ruined.

Finally, I charged to within three meters of Luo Lei, leaped high into the air, and roared, "Fierce Thunder Descends." This was the first time I had used the Fierce Thunder Thirteen Fists in battle since leaving the Orc Imperial City.

In mid-air, I was filled with an unstoppable, overwhelming aura. My massive fist grew larger and larger in the Thunderbolt's eyes. He felt the air filled with surging, exhilarating power, and all possible evasion routes seemed to be locked by my fist, leaving him unable to dodge.

The Thunderbolt clenched his teeth and thrust his long spear at me with all his strength.

In truth, the moment I leaped high into the air, I knew I had already won, for he could never block my full-force fist technique.

My right fist, carrying a powerful surge of fighting spirit, collided with Luo Lei's spear. A cracking sound echoed through the air as Luo Lei was "sent" off the stage by my overwhelming force. His spear shattered into pieces, scattering across the ground. Had I not withdrawn most of my fighting spirit at the last moment and redirected the explosive force into a pushing force, he might never have seen tomorrow's sun.

I stood on the stage, hands behind my back, exuding an air of confidence that challenged all heroes to prove themselves. I coldly said, "Now you should know how lucky you are. Sorry for destroying your spear."

Luo Lei, who was unharmed, knew I had spared him and angrily retreated to the side. The homeroom teacher blinked and thought to herself, "This Lei Xiang has such powerful strength. After all, Luo Lei's Xingyun Spear Technique was already quite famous before he came to the academy. He should be ranked among the top in the class and even the grade, yet he was defeated by him."

As she was thinking, I spoke from the stage, "Teacher, shouldn't you declare me the winner?"

Teacher Zhuang finally snapped out of it and hurriedly said, "Lei Xiang wins and advances to the semifinals."

I jumped down from the stage, and the Huo brothers immediately ran over. Huo Xing said, "Old Lei, you're really something. That punch of yours was absolutely stunning. It seems the class monitor position is yours for the taking. Teach me how to do it."

I replied, "My fist techniques aren't suitable for you to learn. You should focus on mastering your own skills instead."

Mars was disappointed and walked away. I ignored him and went to a corner to meditate. Since the competition would be completed today, physical strength was crucial. Although I had defeated Luo Lei earlier, I wasn't as relaxed as I appeared. Those ground spikes had caused me some damage, and the battle had also drained a lot of my energy. If the next two opponents were as strong as Luo Lei, becoming class monitor would be challenging.

I thought to myself, I absolutely cannot let my opponent have the chance to use magic in the next match. I must strike first.

I sat quietly, regulating the energy within my body, gathering the scattered Thunder Armor True Qi back together, and ignoring everything else happening in the arena.

Before long, I felt the True Qi gradually returning to its optimal state. I took a deep breath and stood up.

As I approached the edge of the stage, I caught the final moment: Feng Juan swung her massive hammer, sending her opponent—along with their sword—flying off the stage. What terrifying power!

The homeroom teacher announced, "Feng Juan wins. The quarterfinals are over. Now the semifinals begin. First match: Lei Xiang vs. Feng Wen. Please enter the arena."

Was it my turn? It seemed that the time I had spent in meditation was indeed quite long. I walked onto the stage and stood to one side. A gentle breeze brushed my face, and in the blink of an eye, there was someone standing across from me. Such speed! I couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine.

This was Feng Wen, with a well-proportioned build, holding a long sword in his hand. He smiled slightly and said, "I watched your match earlier. I know you're strong, but I already have a way to deal with you."

"Stop talking nonsense. Come on." To prevent him from using magic, I took the initiative to attack for the first time, stepping forward with my left foot and charging forward, unleashing a punch. The powerful aura engulfed Feng Wen, the strong wind causing his robe to flap wildly. Just as it was about to hit him, Feng Wen suddenly vanished. My incredibly powerful punch struck nothing but air. Not only was he fast, but his aura was also strong, allowing him to escape from my aura field.

In the split second I hesitated, I felt a sharp wind strike from behind. I didn't dodge but turned around to block the attack with my chest, then swiftly unleashed another punch.

A wind arrow struck my chest with pinpoint accuracy, but my punch missed its mark. Feng Wen, standing on the other side of the stage, exclaimed in surprise, "Your defensive power is truly remarkable. You managed to block a wind arrow of this intensity head-on."

Feng Wen began circling me at high speed, occasionally unleashing spells like wind arrows and wind blades, but never engaging me in direct combat. My wild punches were nothing but wasted effort. My Heavenly Thunder Armor-Piercing Qi was still too weak to reach him, posing no real threat. Ah, right, I could fuse dark magic into my Qi, just like when I blocked my father's attack last time.

I stood at the center of the stage, letting his wind-based magic wash over me. My outer garment shattered even more under his spells, revealing my undershirt and the muscular arms beneath. I quietly observed his movements, constantly gathering dark energy within my body. A cool, penetrating sensation filled my entire body, and my senses became much more acute.

At this moment, Feng Wen attacked while thinking to himself, "If this continues, I might not be able to break through his defensive barrier. My magic and qi are almost depleted. This guy must be made of something incredibly sturdy. I can't let this continue. I need to use my ultimate move." With that thought, Feng Wen roared, " Whirlwind Demon Wolf Sword."

He channeled all his martial energy into his long sword, then used wind magic to accelerate himself as he charged forward. His body spun rapidly through the air. When he was still five meters away, his martial energy already caused my skin to ache faintly. If he were to strike me, even with my defensive capabilities, I would likely be injured. I roared, "Come on then!" I channeled my gathered dark energy and struck him with a punch.

A black-and-white qi erupted from my fist. I didn't believe I'd lose in a strength contest. Just as the two forces were about to collide, Feng Wen unexpectedly flipped to the left in mid-air, dodging my fatal punch, while his sword continued to stab toward my chest. Feng Wen had used wind magic to change direction, and no matter how I dodged, he could still chase after me.

In this critical moment, my heart suddenly calmed down. I clearly sensed the direction of his attack, roared, "Thunderous Lightning Shocks the Heavens," and met his attacking sword with a flurry of fist shadows, sealing off all his possible movements and forcing him to clash with me head-on.

Feng Wen clearly hadn't expected me to have such a technique; he could no longer dodge. He gritted his teeth and charged forward with all his might. "Boom." The sword and fist finally collided in midair. I was at a disadvantage because my power was too分散, though my absolute strength was far greater than his, I still suffered a loss.

The inner layer of my chest was pierced by the sword's martial energy, leaving a half-inch-deep gash on my pectoral muscle. Blood trickled down my chest, and my internal meridians had also suffered some impact. I gasped for breath, kneeling on one knee and using my hands to support my body weight. This was the first time I had been injured since leaving the Orc Imperial City.

Feng Wen appeared to be in better condition than me, but his stamina had also been severely depleted. The long sword, unable to withstand the immense force from earlier, was now broken in half. He too knelt on one knee, using the broken sword to support his body. However, his meridians had been severely damaged by my overwhelming power, and a cold sensation spread throughout his body. He was desperately using his martial arts energy to counteract the invading dark energy.

I tapped my chest a few times with my left hand to seal the blood vessels, then struggled to stand up from the ground. I swayed a few times before finally steadying myself. For the first time, I began to doubt my father's "one force overcomes ten blessings" technique, and for the first time, I recognized the importance of skill. Now, winning was extremely difficult. My physical strength was severely depleted, and the wound on my chest caused excruciating pain with every movement. Cold sweat had soaked through my undergarments.

Feng Wen also staggered to his feet and asked, "Shall we fight again?" A helpless smile appeared on his face. I forced a smile and said, "If you can still attack, then I've lost."

"Same here. It seems Feng Juan got the better of us." After he said this, we both fell backward simultaneously.

The homeroom teacher quickly jumped onto the stage, examined our injuries, and, seeing that there was no life-threatening danger, sighed in relief and said, Both of you are injured? Quickly, students, take them to the infirmary."...

Where am I? The smell of medicine is so strong. I forced my eyes open and struggled to sit up, but as soon as I moved slightly, a sharp pain shot through my chest, forcing me back onto the bed. I felt that my chest was wrapped in thick bandages. I endured the intense pain, refusing to let out a moan, and managed to turn my head slightly. On the bed next to me lay Feng Wen. This must be the infirmary.

I channeled my Dark Power to inspect the meridians within my body. Several in my chest were blocked, but fortunately, my Heavenly Thunder Armor had blocked most of the fighting energy. Otherwise, if the heart meridians had been damaged, it would have been trouble. I used my dark energy to gradually unblock the blocked meridians. After an unknown amount of time, I heard someone enter the room.

"These two kids, why aren't they awake yet? It's just a class monitor position; why are they so desperate? If they want to fight, they should wait until the grade-wide martial arts competition. Now look at them, lying in the infirmary on the first day of school." It was Mr. Zhuang's voice.

I felt a cool little hand on my head. "Good, no fever. There shouldn't be any inflammation." Uncontrollably, a warm current surged through my heart. Why was she so concerned about me? Was it just because I was her student?

"What's wrong with Feng Wen? He shouldn't be as badly injured as Lei Xiang, but why isn't he waking up? Why is his body so cold?" Mr. Zhuang's anxious voice came over.

The blocked meridians had been mostly cleared by me. I opened my eyes to see Teacher Zhuang sitting on Feng Wen's bed, her hand on his head.

I said weakly, "Teacher, he was hit by my Black Ice Qi. Only I can解除 it." Of course, it was actually Dark Power.

"Lei Xiang, you're awake. I've never heard of your Black Ice Qi before, but it's indeed powerful. How will you解除 it for him?"

"Give me his hand." The two beds were not far apart, just an arm's length away.

I placed my hand on Feng Wen's pulse point and slowly absorbed the Dark Force that had invaded his body. Streams of black energy gradually flowed back into my body from his hand. Not only did I not feel strained, but I actually felt the Dark Force growing stronger within me. My spirits also improved slightly compared to when I first woke up.

"Teacher, he should be fine now. He just needs to rest for a while."

"Your qi is quite神奇. Only you can dispel it. I originally thought Feng Wen would wake up before you. Why did the two of you fight to the death? I had originally intended for one of you to be class monitor, but now Feng Juan has taken the position. Save your strength for the grade-wide martial arts competition and bring glory to the class. Why fight to the death among yourselves?"

She really could talk, nonstop. "Teacher, how long was I unconscious?"

"A day and a night. On the first day of school, two of you ended up in the infirmary, and the principal gave me a lecture." Teacher Zhuang's face showed signs of anger.

A day and a night—my poor Black Dragon must be starving. "Teacher, can you take me out for a bit?"

"What for? Your injury needs proper rest."

"I have a horse in the stable at the academy. I want to feed it. It hasn't eaten since yesterday."

Teacher Zhuang said sharply, "Alright, rest. I'll feed it for you. I owe you all." Saying this, she stood up to leave.

"No, Teacher, my horse only eats what I feed it. You probably can't feed it."

Teacher Zhuang frowned and said, "Why is it so troublesome? Alright, wait here. I'll go find you a wheelchair. Pushing you there should be fine, right?"

She was quite resourceful. Soon, she brought back an old, worn-out wheelchair. I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain in my chest made me fall back onto the bed. Teacher Zhuang said, "Alright, let me help you." She lifted me off the bed in one swift motion. A fresh, fragrant scent wafted from her body, making me a bit dizzy. At only 1.6 meters tall, holding me, who was 2 meters tall, inevitable physical contact occurred. The soft sensation stimulated my nerves.

Seeing my dazed expression, Ms. Zhuang placed me in the wheelchair, gave me a sharp tap on the head, and scolded, "What are you doing? Are you going to feed the horse or not?" She thought to herself, "This little rascal is taking advantage of me." At that moment, her face flushed, and as she looked at my tall, muscular build and handsome features, she couldn't help but let her imagination run wild. She shook her head firmly, thinking, "What's wrong with me? He's my student."

Of course, I had no idea about her inner struggle. The pain on my head snapped me back to reality, and I hurriedly said, "Ah! I'm sorry, teacher. Let's go."

Zhuang Jing pushed me to the stable, and I quickly fed the black horse some good hay. I apologized to it, "Sorry for making you go hungry again, buddy. It's all my fault."

Teacher Zhuang said, "This horse of yours is really impressive. It's clearly a fine steed. Where did you get it?"

If anyone else had asked me that question, I would have ignored it. But perhaps because of the closeness we had just shared, I couldn't refuse her question. "Black Dragon was originally a wild horse. I tamed him, and he's been with me ever since."

"May I touch him?" "No way," she exclaimed, her excitement making her look like a child.

"Better not. It has a temper and has even kicked someone to death before."

"That terrifying? I don't believe it. I'm going to touch it anyway." Saying this, Ms. Zhuang walked over and reached out to touch Black Dragon. Black Dragon's eyes narrowed with suspicion, it took a step back, let out a loud whinny, and reared up on its hind legs.

I quickly shouted, "Black Dragon, don't be rude. She's a friend." The Black Dragon seemed to understand my words and turned its hooves in another direction.

Ms. Zhuang was startled, but when she saw that the Black Dragon wasn't attacking her, she withdrew the water element she had just gathered. "You scared me. This horse is quite fierce. It seems to understand what you're saying."

"I don't know what's going on either. It's as if we can communicate telepathically. Let's go back."

Ms. Zhuang stuck out her tongue at Black Dragon while carrying me, then pushed me back to the infirmary. Of course, the process of carrying me back to the bed was inevitable...

A day later, Feng Wen also woke up and had breakfast. He asked me, "How are you feeling? Are you better? Your fighting spirit was really powerful that day. I still had the ability to attack, but your fighting spirit froze my meridians, leaving me unable to muster any strength."

"My internal injuries are mostly healed, and the sword wound on my chest has closed. I'll be fine in a few days." To be honest, I was also impressed by his martial arts skills. He managed to penetrate my super-strong defensive power. It seems I need to strengthen my cultivation of the Heavenly Thunder Armor-Breaking technique.

"What kind of fighting spirit are you practicing? Your defensive power is really strong."

"What's so strong about it? It was broken by you anyway."

"My Dragon Whirlwind Qi is quite famous. It attacks in a spiral like a tornado, can change direction at will, and has tremendous penetrating power. I've never seen anyone who could block it head-on. That day, I used all my Dragon Whirlwind Qi plus wind magic acceleration for my final strike, but I could only barely break through your defensive barrier a little. When it first collided with your barrier, I held back a bit to avoid hurting you, but by the end, I was using full force and still couldn't completely break through."

"So it's a spiral-shaped qi. No wonder it has such strong penetrating power." "It doesn't matter if I'm injured, but you ruined my clothes."

"My sword was broken by you too. We're even."

Just as they were talking, Fengyun and the Huo brothers entered. Fengyun burst in and exclaimed, "How about it, you two? Are you okay? I heard from the Huo brothers that you two were killing it that day."

Feng Wen laughed and scolded, "Look at your mouth. You've always been like this since you were a kid. Once you start talking, you can't stop. Can you just be quiet for a moment?"

Fengyun said, "You've always bullied me since we were kids. You don't even let me speak!"

Huo Xing asked in surprise, "Do you two know each other?"

Feng Wen smiled slightly and said, "He's my cousin. We grew up together, but one focused on magic while the other focused on martial arts."

Huo Xing said, "Well, that's good. We're all family now. We're in for it now that Feng Juan is the class monitor. I thought Lei Xiang had it in the bag, but then you came along out of nowhere."
