After camping the night away we arrive at the merchant city of Slavecks. It is a snowy place, no one here stays for long, always going somewhere, doing something, or being someone. After visiting the small adventures hall, we rest for a day, before leaving. An old man stands at the edge of town.
"Young man, can you help me?"
He's wearing bagger's clothes, his hair is a mess, and he's beyond skinny to the point of starvation.
Walking up to him I speak the code from the book. "Kогда тигр окажется в небе мы все узнаем." (When the tiger is in the sky we will know everything.")
His old grayed eyebrows twitch. "Since when did the Devil Kingdom's prince join the Beggar's sect?"
"Information is power." I respond with smugness.
"You are the exact kind of person we wish to keep the knowledge from. It should not be used to harm, but to protect."
"You elders are stuck in your ways. The time has come where the mere presence of the Empire is dangerous. Now the only way to protect our people is to strike first."
His clenched teeth began to loosen. "Your choices are flawed, but your intentions are pure. I can respect that. However you are only fighting the inevitable."
"The Devil Kingdom since the dawn of its creation has only been fighting the inevitable, so why stop now?"
"You speak nonsense, other than the Empire no one can destroy your kingdom."
"How about your god? The one we betrayed. The devils protect us, but for how long?"
"You're talking about myths and fairytales, as Johan the fourth Bagger leader said, religion plays no heart in a world of knowledge."
"All I ask is that the Beggar sect take no side in the coming war. We promise to grant you full protection when all is through, and a quarter of the land captured." I don't have the authority to make such claims and he knows it, so how will he respond.
With a smile he sticks out his hand. "I have little sway nowadays, but I can try to keep some information from the other sects."
I shake his hand. "I thank you, elder Youri."
"Wait?" He grabs me by the shoulder before I leave.
"Yes?"
"I didn't tell you my name?"
"And I didn't tell you mine, it looks like we have something in common."
We leave the town heading towards the massive mountains.
Message from Boss, "The syndicate has just lost our last base in the Empire. One of my spies says Mars is in the Cloud sect's region."
"Thanks for the information."
Message from Boss, "I have been meaning to ask, but how did you know to send the underworld after him?????"
"He's the disciple of the martial god, obviously Mars would be a threat."
Message from Boss, "That makes sense. Anyways, what are you doing right now!!!???"
"Walking, just about to enter the Empire. How about you?"
"Glad you asked. (; I'm eating at the Devil Kingdoms royal palace. Your younger brother is trying to get me to join the war on your side. I would have done so if you just asked, but he made me dress up, and treated me like I was some member of the nobility. Gross, right!!?? T–T I mean we kinda are already part of the war anyways so might as well team up."
"When did you start using faces in your messages?"
Message from Boss, "You like it? Someone in the global chat came up with them!!! I thought they were cute. (: "
I guess texting language is developing fast, oh well it's not like I wrote about this in my book. Thinking of that, some part of me can't wait to meet the Hero. I wonder if he's as Handsome as my book described. No one has been different from their descriptions so far, so I guess he just might be.
"How many Villain Points did you receive for the cause mayhem quest?"
Message from Boss, "So far I reserved 486."
A number unachievable by me, yet she talks so simply about it.
Boss is offline.
"System." I whisper under my breath.
The iconic blue screen shot up before me.

I'm still far off from being able to use the techniques from the book, maybe once I surpass ten in both stamina and strength I can start practicing, but I think they still need to be above twenty to start using them. So every time I get a chance I'm training my body and the two techniques I can use.
