The next morning;

Zhao Meilin enters the ward carrying bento box with her.

Nodding her head to the man; She ask the woman on the bed, "How are you feeling now?"

"I am quite better now. Thank you....Thank you very much for your help yesterday. If not for you, I would be dead by now." the woman replies as tears starts to fall down her cheeks.

"Don't cry, please. It hurts me seeing you like this. No matter what, I won't let you leave me alone." the man immediately comes to comfort the woman.

Zhao Meilin stands quietly at the corner, letting them take there time.

"Sorry to let you see all this. Anyway, my name is Mu Sheng and this is my girlfriend Ye Wanei." the man introduces himself and his girlfriend after both of them have calmed down.

"My name is Zhao Meilin." she also introduce herself.

Zhao Meilin steps forward, her gaze steady but gentle. "I didn't just come to check on you," she starts, placing the bento box on the side table. "I came with a proposal."

Mu Sheng's eyes narrow slightly, instinctively protective. "A proposal?"

Ye Wanei wipe her tears, her voice still fragile. "What kind of proposal?"

Zhao Meilin folds her hands in front of her, choosing her words with care. "I need people I can trust. People who know how to move in the shadows, but who want to step into the light. I'm building something—a company, yes, but more than that. A legacy. One that protects, uplifts, and transforms. I want you to be part of it."

Mu Sheng exchange a glance with Ye Wanei. "You know what we are. What we've done."

"I do," Zhao Meilin exclaim without flinching. "And I know what you could become. You're not just assassins. You're survivors. Strategists. Fighters with hearts still intact. That's rare."

Ye Wanei's voice trembles as she tells. "We've spilled blood. Taken lives. How can we ever live normally again?"

Zhao Meilin step closer, her voice low but resolute. "Let me carry that burden. I'll handle the past. You don't have to run anymore. No more contracts. No more hiding. I'll make sure no one comes after you. You'll have new identities, new roles. You'll be safe."

Mu Sheng's jaw tightens. "And if they come anyway?"

"They won't," Zhao Meilin said, her eyes burning with quiet fire. "Because I'll make sure they don't. I have resources. Influence. And I'm not afraid to use them."

Silence hung in the room for a moment. Then Ye Wanei whispered, "You really think we can live like normal people?"

"I don't just think it," Zhao Meilin said. "I'm offering it. A clean slate. A future."

Mu Sheng looks at her long and hard, then finally nodded. "We'll consider it."

Zhao Meilin smile softly. "That's all I ask. Eat first. Rest. Then we'll talk about what comes next."

After speaking, she leaves the ward giving them time to ponder over it.

In the evening,

Zhao Meilin returns with another bento box.

"We have decided. We agree to your proposal." Mu Sheng tells her at she sit down on one of the sofa in ward.

Ye Wanei nods.

"Great! You guys can recuperate well here till I solve the problem of your ID and household register. I will see you next along with these items. And don't worry about food. I will be sending that as well." Zhao Meilin informs them.

"Thank you for everything." Ye Wanie says, really appreciating everthing Zhao Meilin has done for them.

Zhao Meilin gives them a warm smile and leave the ward.

Coming out from the hosiptal, the smile on her face vanish completely.

Sighing, Zhao Meilin begins to wonder what to do now.

She is back to Square one. Infact this time, it's worst than before.

After paying all the hospital bills, she only has 2,000 yuan remaining in her card. Even the bento ox she has been bringing was also prepared from the things from her space except for the meat she bought from outside. But since she used the spiritual lake's water to cook, the food had alot of spiritual power and will help in rapid recovery. Afterall, they are her people and she will treat them the best.

'should I go to the antique street once again to make money.' Zhao meilin keeps pondering over it she walk on the road.

'No it is quite difficult to discover an authenic antique in a street filled with fakes and junk. Afterall, it nearly took me 3 hours before I came across that braclet covered in white aura. It is too much time consuming and the follow-up is also very low. If I want to start my own business, I have to think of a way to make fast money.' Zhao Meilin is thinking what to do when a bill board catches her attention.

The bill board belong to a newly open jewellery shop. What catch her attention is not the shop itself but the picture of jewellery made of jade on the side.

'Why did't I think of it before. There is no other fastest way to raise fund then gambling. More precisely, Stone gambling. Afterall, stone gambling can make a poor person rich and a rich person poor over night.

Moreover with her superpower, there is no chance of any lose.

Just as Zhao Meilin happily dancing in her mind, She remember the money bank account; it is as if someone has poured cold water over all her dreams.

Sighing, she returns back to her apartment and enters the space.

Dipping the feet in the lake, Zhao Meilin contemplate over what to do.

Looking around the space, a bright smile appears on her face.

Its carved wooden signboard gleamed with age and reverence, and the scent of herbs wafted from within like a whisper of history.

Inside, rows of polished counters and glass cabinets displayed rare medicinal ingredients. Staff in crisp uniforms move with practiced efficiency, their expressions cool and professional.

Zhao Meilin approach the front desk, her bundle wrapped in silk and tied with care. "I have something to sell," she exclaim.

The young clerk barely glanced at her. "We don't buy from walk-ins. If you're here to peddle mountain herbs, try the street stalls."

Zhao Meilin's eyes narrowed. "It's a hundred-year-old wild ginseng."

That caught a few ears, but the clerk scoffed. "Everyone says that. Unless you have certification—"

"I don't need certification," Zhao Meilin snap, her voice rising. Heads turned. "I said it's a hundred-year-old wild ginseng, dug fresh this morning. If you don't believe me, then let the highest bidder win. I'll sell it to whoever values it most!"

A murmur ripple through the hall. Several staff members begin to approach, curiosity piqued.

A middle aged man steps forward, "Can you show it to me, Young Lady. If it is rally a hundred-year-old wild ginseng as you say then we definitely will give you the correct prize."
