In the dark space, a small dot appeared in a center and formed cracks, the Type-V borehole blitz pierced through the crack as a violet vessel floated steadily after a fast tunneling.
Pieces of glass scattered behind it, slowly fading away as the cracks and hole disappeared like nothing.
"I... Did it!" Oli said, throwing his hands in the air, "I can't believe I did it... I'm actually free..."
Being in the Legion was life consuming, literally. Now that he was free from the hands and eyes of a Lord RAVAGER, he could finally enjoy the life he had gotten.
And it was more smoother than he had thought because the distorters never brought any back up after his initial attack earlier. He examined the buttons once more, the fuel of the vessel was easier to recognize because it had a bar in the control panels. Two percent of fuel left, and he was stranded in the middle of nowhere.
He leaned back, tapping the wheel, "That was poor navigation.. tch, no matter I only learned it from watching pilots mostly..."
That was a good accomplishment he'd tell himself, during his time in the Legion being deployed through teleportation and transport ships were a horrible experience, one he wanted so bad to never experience again.
Today, the first thing he would do with his freedom was wait. And so he waited for an hour, watching the blackness in space as some stars he spotted along. He caught one or two in the distance, other than that, he hummed to himself.
Four hours have passed, and he was rummaging through the vessel's cabinet and found absolutely nothing. It was small, so the only space was for him.
Eight hours have passed, floating endlessly on space, two figures were fighting on the desk of the panel, his hands gestured like fighting swords.
"Swissh!" He said, "Lord Almsman, stop moving! Swissh!"
His finger made a swing like movement, the other thumb ducked below, raising his own sword.
"That's the point!" Almsman said, swinging back his own sword as it hit the opponents neck.
"Poosshhhh!" Oli gestured the left hand to fall, "And I, am crowned in my victory!"
He stared at the thumbs, unmoving, lifeless. Like the space itself and the silence that came after. Like the dead bodies... He shook his head, then leaned back.
He was tempted to tunnel again, but what if he just landed further away? It would be a horrible experience to just endlessly float into nothingness despite the pain and effort he had done.
Speaking of pain, he looked down to his chest, the scar and cut was gone. His healing factor repaired that, surprising him.
You could kill a Voidranger, but harming them and leaving them alone sometimes heals their own body thanks to the baryons and anti baryons that healed that. His own Baryon earlier, strapped behind him just above his butt, did favor in healing him.
That baryon was placed to his right, a ball with a mini black hole in the center that he modified for his own use. Since Anti particles had this strangeness to them, he tinkered with the broken baryon he found during an assault. Forcing some particles in his feet and body to adjust in the gravity and his own gravity center, like sticking from matter to matter.
It would only work if he was close enough to it, and those who came close to him when he activated the gravity shift, they would all stumble in surprise as they tried to run after him. Though he could adjust the range, he only adjusted it to the very closest proximity, mainly stuck it behind him.
He groaned, and was close to using the button to tunnel again when a flash of light appeared on the right, he pressed himself on the glass pane, watching a train in an unbelievable speed trotted through in a straight line. Then disappeared.
"Was that... Tracks?" He said, "no wait, how could a train... Oh right, Astral Express. How could I forget."
When he died, he wished he could be reincarnated in honkai star rail, and when he did he was both mortified and surprised that it had actually come true, but not in a way he'd expected.
He wanted to live as a human being and travel with the express, that dream of being anywhere but his own death-place in a bed filled with his own blood and failure. Friends, who'd be fun around was what he preferred.
Maybe... Just maybe...
No, he shook his head once again and gripped his hand tighter on the wheel, he couldn't do it, he failed too many people. And he doubted he could do some good work with them.
'You're a killer,' a dark thought formed in his head, 'Not a trailblazer, you leave death and screams behind.'
The ship went into tunneling one last time, he braced himself as the fuel ran out and appeared on the other side, glass shattering once more around him then fading away.
There, he was met with a beautiful sight as he stared into the bright and largest vessel he'd seen known as Xianzhou Luofu.
"My goodness... It's even beautiful in person."
He steered the vessel, even if it had ran out of fuel it still had some tiny left in the engines enough to steer, and so he let gravity do the work.
He narrowed his vision, two small star ships approached.
'oh no...'
Worry was rising in his chest, he mentally swallowed the lump in his throat and prepared himself. A voice communication would usually occur between vessels, even if it was from the Legion.
"This is Pilot Zu ling," a manly voice said through the comms, "Please state your intentions and purpose of travel."
He cleared his throat, then pressed the small button under the speaker with tiny holes.
"Please, don't worry." Oli said, "I've come with no ill will, I've been sent by Lord Ravager Celenova to discuss a combined attack."
There was silence on the other side for a long time, his worry grew. Would they found out he was lying? Would they need to confirm things with Celenova?
"This is... Unexpected," said the Pilot, "You're allowed entry to the Xianzhou Luofu but you will be watched."
He mentally smiled, leaning forward, "Thank you, I appreciate that... And I ran out of fuel, can you please assist my vessel?"
Again, silence returned as he waited.
"Uh, Pilots?" He said through the communication, hoping they wouldn't have to blow him up.
"We'll attach a cable to your ship," a response, finally, "I'm the one on your left, and by our orders if you try to attack or move out your ship. You will no longer be treated as an ambassador but a threat."
"Understood, Pilot. Thank you for your trust." Oli leaned back.
He watched as the cockpit of the star ship opened, sliding to the back as a figure in blue outfit hovered up, cloud patterns on the side of their outfit matching the theme of the Luofu.
He went around his ship and finally came back, a cable holding on his hand as he floated near the Type-V. The cable trailed behind him as the other star ship just stared right at him, he swore he could feel like he was being watched by a very hungry prey.
Were they not afraid of blowing up his other comrade if he decided to do something funny?
A knock on his window, and he turned, seeing the Pilot was giving thumbs up and floated back to his ship. It was done.
Finally.
He felt gravity pull him back slightly, as the star ship throttled forward and the vessel followed along it.
* * *
"Is he still on the ship?" A man in long white hair said, looking at the wide screen as a female worker arrived beside him.
"He hasn't left," she said, "And there has been no contact from Celenova. This could be a trap, sir."
A third star ship was carrying the borehole, landing it on a platform as guards were present in the vicinity.
"Until we've confirmed some things," he said, clasping his hands behind his back, "we cannot let him go. Watch closely for him."
"Understood general."
