Normally, Aron's Protection Shields of Light granted five separate charges, each capable of nullifying one attack. But of course, there were limits. They could nullify an attack from, let's say, a death bear or death wolf, but not the attacks from the DeathGuard Twin Knights!
So Emilia chose the only option she had:
Sacrifice all five shields at once and hope it would be enough to stop the strike!
She even cast Arcane Barrier, layering her own magical protection over Aron's shields, further boosting their strength and doubling their endurance!
