Chapter 1 - Saving Him

"What a hectic day it was!" Ryne Sighed, looking at the home screen of her phone, it showed 11:39.

"How can they let a small cute lady like me work like a donkey."

She shouted at the street, like she own it. If someone would be there, they must had think her as

Mad women.

Well working in an advertisement company and being a part of creative department wasn't easy.

She had have to work hard.

Yet, to keep her mind relax and for some fresh air, today she took a longer route. Usually the streets stays busy even at this hour, but today there was something different in the air about the night.

It felt oddly calm, chilly and way more peaceful the the bustling of the creative department.

She walk through the bridge, standing on her favourite spot upon it, she gazed at the moon, closing her eyes, she tried to feel the cold air on her face.

Slowly with a sigh she opened her eyes, looking down from the bridge, to the river.

She frowned, her eyebrows crashing together in confusion when she saw three men, down there at the bank of the river.

At first she had thought, it was a small quarrel between some stupid drunk mens, but soon her eyes widened when she witnessed something she never wished for.

One men held another from behind and the other one took out somthing from behind him. The object shine through the darkness, moon light reflecting on it.

Ryne got it. "Are they going to stab him?"

And as if God itself Heard her, she saw the men got stabbed twice on the same place, he fell down on his knees, the one who stabbed him, snatched his beg.

Before they threw him into the river.

They ran away. They ran as fast as they can, as if he would come out of the river anytime, to hunt them.

Ryne, she didn't thought, didn't looked for help,

She worked on her instincts.

Tossing her shoes off, throwing her bag on the bench nearby, she climbed on the railing, and jumped into the river.

She thanked herself for being a good swimmer that night.

Diving a bit more deeper in the river, she tried to chase the unconscious body of the man,

Who was floating ahead of her,

She dived faster to reach to him, the men's body was going deeper and deeper into the river.

The flow wasn't heavy or hasty that night, but still the river was deep. Soon reaching for his hand,

Which was the only thing of him she could hold onto, by all the strength she had, she pulled him out of the river with her.

Somehow, searching for the bank of the river, she took him and threw him out first, then coming out herself.

She stare at the unconscious men, for a second then quickly moved onto the first aid she should be doing in such situations.

She pressed his chest with both of her hands, he didn't respond, but soon after some more pressing, he started to cough,

He coughed the water out with some more pressing she gave him. Though he wasn't concious fully, but seems like as the water came out of his lungs

He was a bit in his senses.

He could hear someone's voice in the darkness

He could hear some words like

"Hang on! I'll save you,"

"Just a minute "

And then things finally turned black for him.

Meanwhile for Ryne, she looked at the road, which was near the river bank, she somehow dragged the men's body towards it.

She was just looking for some help, and after a few seconds she saw a car coming into her direction.

She quickly showed her hand in front, making the car halt in its way.

The mirror of the car downward, and a men peeked out of it.

He flashed a smile towards her, which was a clear stupidity for her at the time and the situation.

"Want a ride to home beautiful lady?"

The men's tone was a bit flirty, yet she could only think about the another unconscious men in her arms.

She spoke,

"No I want a ride to the hospital, urgently" she said hurriedly the men's eyes frowned in confusion,

"Are you hurt somewhere?" He asked, making her annoyed,

"Do you have eyes or buttons, can't you see I'm holding someone who is bleeding and drenched in water!"

She yelled at him, making him flinched and only then he noticed the men she was holding,

He hurriedly came out of the car, helping her hoping into it with the injured men.

They drove off to the nearby hospital.
