Chapter 8 - Log Two

8th June

Everything has been set into motion. I have carefully handpicked 5 different candidates with the most profitable outcomes available. These five will be subjected to multiple fear inducing exercises that will help condition them to bring forth the fruition of my theory. If succeeded, I will be renowned as the greatest scientist to ever set foot on the planet. With much consideration, I had allocated them to board the same train and sit right beside each other for a specific reason.

The value of camaraderie is one that can not be toppled by any monster. No matter how troubling one's life my become, their friendships will always help them push through. Hope is a valuable thing. It can never be destroyed, always lingering in the back, waiting for the right moment to emerge. And allowing them time to converse, bringing them closer together, builds up that hope in each other. Using their hope, I will be able to manipulate them in certain ways that will help accelerate this experiment.

The plan for an artificial sun has been finished, and the building is almost complete as well. I have prepared the underground facility in which they will reside in and have made a few months' plan on what they will be exposed to.

Whilst I am writing this, I have a thought.

Why are we born only to be separated into different classes? It is something that has bemused me for many years. This thing which people call equality nowadays has begun to spring up around the world. Many people have started to protest and are advocating for such a vile thing.

Are humans equal? Even at birth, certain things differentiate us. Class, wealth, parents. All these things play a part in our wider purpose. Society has only advanced when there are those who step over other people to climb towards the top. Those people who walk around with boards trying to bring forth a just society should begin to realise that if society hadn't been this way, then we would, in definition, submit to communism.

After all my years of living, I have finally found an answer that I am satisfied with. People lower than us must submit to us. And it is our right to use them for our benefits. It is not cruelty when nature commends such actions.

We humans are monsters, and we shall remain monsters until we die. Those below me must bow down in submission with no rebuttals. For even I have been used and plundered by people higher than me for their own benefits. But that is how the world functions.

Kill or be killed. Conquer or be conquered.

When we leave this fine world, we will be remembered for what we have achieved. Some more infamous than others. Yet fame, even for the wrong reasons, is still fame. To transcend that fame and become an even higher person, I must remove my morality and ascend to a higher level.

The sky grows darker. I must succumb to my chambers for a slumber. Tomorrow, they shall arrive, then we shall begin our work of God.

Adieu.
