Chapter 3 - Chapter III: Crazy Fan

The city of Pandora bustled with busy workers and technological enhancements, the tarred roads now featuring enhanced traffic lights that stop the movement of vehicles, allowing pedestrians to walk by with a warning notification that beeps when an ambulance or firetruck is approaching. Although the city had reports of crimes and dangerous incidents, the authorities were swift in responding to the threats, as a program called "Project Eradication" was initiated by cyber-gen, and no criminal wanted to witness its consequences.

As the mystery of what project eradication still lingered, Agatha Seamus, now adorned in her heist suit, had snuck her way into Pandora's box, a secret research facility that was burnt down from the fall of 2025 but left untouched, guarded by sentries, robotic entities that soared the sky. This operation was carried out in broad daylight as the young girl's technology was able to keep her from being detected, invisible to the naked eye, while trying to escape the eyes of the sentries.

The Pandora's box had over eleven floors, being one of the tallest structures in Pandora city now, but was the tallest before the fall of 2025. It also had a secret underground base, which was hidden from the public, and Agatha was to find out soon, as she was provided with a map and the location of the Messager. The area was dark as the young lady was only authorised to explore the ground floor.

"Damn! Never knew it'd be this dark here, I can't even see my black ass," she joked, gazing around the ground floor, a red dot beeping at the elevator on her map, "So, I'm supposed to make it here"

Tracing the red dot on the man, she stepped into the elevator that hadn't worked for ages. Agatha gazed around, confused as to what she was to do. Facing the buttons, she shrugged, clicking a random button, but just like she expected, nothing had happened. Standing there for seconds, the quietness getting to her, she thought of contacting the Messager one last time, but just as she glanced at her wrist, the shaft snapped.

Agatha's eyes widened as the elevator shaft began to fall down, going at high speed, the friction of the metal causing the shaft to spark. Panicking as she had been double-crossed by this secret person who managed to get her secret contact, though something about all this made her suspicious, as this secret individual seemed familiar. Though the mystery crossed her thoughts from the very beginning, the job was what dragged her in, and her sense of security had vanished.

It was said humans were very primitive and naive creatures and would do anything just to survive and earn for themselves. Agatha losing her sense of security was one of them. Even if she was able to hide her identity, carefulness was a virtue and now that didn't matter as she was bound to be crushed by this monstrous shaft. Thinking fast, her life on the line, she had used her technology to aid her survival, sliding her finger on the soles of her shoes, which were technologically enhanced by cyber-gen and before the shaft landed, she leapt up into the air, the shoes acting as anti-gravity tools that enabled her to escape from the shaft.

The shaft, just as Agatha had thought, landed but was sandwiched by the force. The young girl stared down in horror as she was about to join her parents soon if she didn't think fast, but there was an open path leading into somewhere. Landing cautiously back on the ground, she stared into the dark open space that was left. Her map beeped, and as she checked it, the beeping from the red dot had stopped, and a green text emerged:

-Destination Reached-

Agatha sighed, stepping into the darkness while avoiding any debris and waving her hand at the dust that blocked her back, though with the help of night-vision from the mask she wore, which enabled her to see from the ground floor, this place was far too dark to perceive anything. Now shrouded in blackness, she gazed around, confused as she awaited the mastermind, not planning to say a single word to alert the Messager.

But of course, this secret person knew of her arrival and they had welcomed her by turning on the lights that revealed the entire area to her, filled with wires, metal floors, walls, computers and neon lights with a secret tunnel leading into another location was what looked like a lair, usually in the superhero movies that she had watched as a kid. "What in the world is all this shit?" she whispered, her question falling on no ears as she was alone in this strange place, so she thought.

Echoing around her like an inner voice was the most annoying voice she had ever heard, excited but nerve-wracking, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh," a feminine voice said from the space, "I can't believe it's you!"

"Who's there?!" Agatha responded, but she seemed defensive. Now, the thoughts of familiarity were replaced as she didn't recognise a single tone from that high-pitched voice that sounded like some high-school student meeting some celebrity she had fantasised about in her dream or alternate universe.

Trying to show some assurance of safety, the voice replied in a calm tone, "Don't worry, my queen, I'm completely safe," the voice said, and to reassure her even further, a door leading into another secret room was opened, causing Agatha to jerk back.

"I'm in here," the voice whispered playfully.

Whoever this person seemed to be, she wasn't that serious, probably a child who could bow to her feet and kiss her shoes if she were to come across her, but how could a child have access to such a place as this and gather many resources without getting caught by the authorities? Maybe she wasn't a child? Only one way to find out.

Stepping into the room, Agatha was greeted with a set of computers facing her, and displayed on the screen was a display of the entirety of Pandora City. This person had been watching, monitoring the city's progression, and only this individual knew how the cameras were set up. In front of the screen, an office chair was there, and from her view, somebody was already sitting on it.

The girl stepped forward but immediately stopped in her tracks, only to notice something at the corner of her eye. It was another smaller screen, but what it displayed horrified her. Agatha could see an unmasked image of herself, with all the information that not even the authorities had on her from the fall of 2025 down to this time:

Staring at the screen, Agatha's horror was channelled to her rage, her stress levels increasing as she rushed towards the person sitting and just as she pulled the chair, ready to punch a hole through their face.

Nobody. The chair was empty, with nobody there to begin with. "What the fuck?" she muttered under her breath, not noticing the pair of pinkish eyes glaring at her from behind and getting closer, and she was only able to spot it with the help of the screen's reflection.

Taking out a laser gun she had kept as part of her inventory, she pointed it at this creepy assailant, finally able to catch this anonymous individual, "You stay the hell away from me?!" she shouted.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, chill out, queen," the individual said, their identity finally revealed. The anonymous person who possessed knowledge of who Agatha was non-other than some young lady, her appearance striking, adorned in what looked like a swimsuit, her skin as pale as snow, set of dreadlocks for hair, tied into huge pigtails as gazed down at the short girl with pink eyes glowing with eerie intent, the figure smiled brightly, "Oh my gosh, you're so cute and small in person"

Enraged by the ignorance, Agatha gripped the gun tightly, pushing it further to the lady's face, "You better tell me who the hell you are, and how on this motherfucking planet, do you have my information!" she demanded.

"Oh, please shoot me, it will be a pleasure dying by the hands of my very own idol!" the strange, tall lady screamed, drooling from the mouth, her eyes squinted as the strange 'X' sign on her pupils shifted into a heart emoji, her eyes cybernetically enhanced by cyber-gen.

Agatha was disturbed by the strange obsession that this person had over her. The kinky demeanour of this person had completely blown her off, but she remained persistent in getting information. "Do you think this is a joke?" she asked.

"Oh, no, no, my queen," the tall lady said, nodding as she knelt on the ground, "Please don't be mad at me, I'll give you anything you want, my information, you want it? Yes I have it!" reaching into the strap of her swimsuit, she pulled out a card, lending it to the girl.

Agatha hesitated, taking the card as she read through the information:
