What Synthesis doesn't know is there is more to these three great nations. Let's explore them a little bit.
The three great nations only make up a part of the galaxy as a whole. They have not discovered the entire galaxy as of yet. The number of races, opportunities and more lay in wait churning in the background. The three great nations lay on the precipice of a great void. Also referred to as The Empty by some or Rift by others. This is an area of space where the prism collective once existed.. or well thats not entirely the truth. It's where they started to besiege the three great nations.
It is empty of star systems, planets, really any matter for a great reason. Back in the past the prism collective needed a great deal of resources for their war machine. Once they encountered the three Interstellar Great Nations, it had been decided to harvest a vast level of material to stunt them and clear space for their mega, giga and other massive mechanic structures.
Of course the final battles in the last days of the prism saw these creations ruined. But such knowledge of how the great nations at that time managed such feats has been mostly lost. And is a topic for another time.
However what remains the topic of is the detailed dive of the three great nations.
Ascension Empire, back in the day, was a fifth of what it is now. It should be known that all three great nations did not fare well against the prism collective. Hence it took all three to win. Back then they lost many worlds, fleets and populations to the Prism Collective. However ever since their defeat the empire has worked alongside the others to rebuild their population and expand rapidly. Now they are a great power in the galaxy to their knowledge. Vast fleets roam the tens of systems they own. Trade is booming, their economy is thriving. Large spatial super fortresses guard inner systems. And though they deal with pirates, smugglers and your daily crimes.
It is a good life for the empire. They do have some conflict with their neighbors despite all three great nations being mutual allies this doesn't stop the friction on their borders. Or the political turmoil in their governments. In truth humanity, the only real issue is their reliance on the limited AI that controls a great deal of their daily life. With only the military greatly limiting AI far more than civilians.
Voidian Oligarchy, however, hasn't quite recovered like the other two. Though they own a great deal of space. And have a great deal of young. In the war they lost several ancients and even a few primordial forces. Well, okay that's an understatement. Perspectively they are only a third of their ancient population. It'll take thousands of years to truly recover what they lost.
Despite this, their young hold two generations since the end of the war. Both around a hundred or so years apart they are nowhere near the size of their elders. The second around the size of a standard human battle ship and the first close to the size of a small moon.
One may not know this but they feast on gasses, ores, and liquids that most wouldn't be able to eat without being terminated by life.
Their waste is strange, crystals, stronger materials the gist. It is often not kind to think about. Such creatures are simply too different. At least it doesn't smell. The voidborne are nomadic, they rarely settle unless they are young, and the older they are the larger they get, they are in fact immortal only in age of course. They are susceptible to diseases like any other. Unless it's the primordial who are highly resistant or down right immune to most sicknesses.
Elysian Queendom, if anything, Elysian Queendom gained the most benefit from the fall of the Prism collective. Their queen and the council under her realized their weakness and forged ahead both in technology, numbers and expansion. They outgrew the empire by three times. Their population boomed both amongst their original pure bloods, cloning and lab grown. Their military though few in commanders has also seen a great deal of explosive growth.
Perspectively, if Elysian ever went to war with both Voidian and Ascension at the same time. Both would be hard pressed to deal with their elven neighbors. It is through this, that the Queendom believes themselves the strongest. After great efforts of reverse engineering Prism Collective technology. At least the structures or debris that failed to be scuttled.
Their fleets are many and yet their numbers in controlling these fleets are few. Unlike human warships where they would have crew. Elysian warships are unmanned, but not by AI given AI into elven space is completely banned even human ships who enter must be screened and their AI no matter what is to be either turned off or removed temporarily.
So how are these unmanned ships controlled? Simple. The Elysian people, specifically are psychic, they have long found a method to integrate themselves with technology through the mind hence ships are unmanned and their commanders can use their minds to control vast fleets. The only cost of their loss being the materials and time those ships took to be crafted.
But the Elysian people are not without military factories, of which they also excel in. Trading with human space to meet the requirements of the resources needed should war ever break out in the wrong places or against greater foes.
Synthesis has a harsh goal ahead; his revenge will require time, and risk abound. For his restart of the prism collective is nowhere near its prime. Atlas for now we only know the folly he will soon face and the challenges ahead that seek him destruction.
