Chapter 16 - The unreasonable Wu Jian

Aron fell silent, looking at the other party with a hint of doubt and some anger in his heart. He did not understand why there were people like this in the world.

Robbing someone so openly without shame, and not even confirming whether the item they wanted actually existed or not? Even if there were shameless people, shouldn't there be limits?

Or has the morality of people in this era really declined to such an extent? Or is this truly the world of Martial Artists?

"This is absurd!" Aron said in disbelief, not bothering to entertain them and decided to leave.

However, the other party seemed to have no intention of letting him go. Just as he was about to walk in another direction, three people surrounded him, blocking his way from all sides.

"Am I just going to let you go?" Wu Jian in the distance suddenly asked with a funny smile and a playful look on his face.

"Young man, rather than causing unnecessary trouble, you should listen to what Young Master Wu Jian says." One of the people surrounding Aron, seemingly one of Wu Jian's subordinates, began to add words that sounded reasonable.

Even the other two started advising him as if it was the most sensible thing in the world.

"I also suggest that you promptly hand over what Young Master Wu Jian requested; otherwise, the consequences will not be easy at all."

"With Young Master Wu Jian's identity, if he does something to you, no one will question it. You should even be grateful that Young Master Wu Jian is still asking you nicely."

Even so, only Aron knew that he truly did not have what Wu Jian wanted. He also couldn't tell the others that he had a special body that could withstand fire, could he?

Seeing Wu Jian's arrogant and proud face in the distance, as if the whole world revolved around him, Aron suspected that he was not someone easy to talk to, even if the other's strength was actually much weaker than his.

As for the four people who were his subordinates, Aron felt that the three surrounding him seemed to have strength equal to his. Only one person who remained by Wu Jian's side vaguely exuded a dangerous aura.

It seemed this was a dead end.

Aron took a deep breath, trying to calm his heart, and began to ask Wu Jian, "If I hand over the weapon you want, will you let me go?"

Not answering immediately, Wu Jian began to smile amusingly and replied, "Do you think you have the right to bargain with me?"

After hearing Wu Jian's answer, Aron no longer hesitated and immediately ran toward him. As for the person blocking his way in front, he simply threw a punch, exerting all his strength in one blow.

"How dare you!?" The person in front of Aron looked angry and sneered as he saw Aron rushing toward him to punch.

Not panicking or nervous, he greatly underestimated Aron's punch and didn't even take out his weapon. After all, the breath that Aron had released earlier was from a Final Stage Skin Refinement Martial Artist.

With the same punching power, as a Blood Purification Martial Artist, he was very confident he could crush Aron's fist and even his entire arm.

However, when their fists met, his expression changed drastically.

"Bang!"

With a loud impact accompanied by the sound of "crack" from broken bones, he suddenly screamed.

"Argh!"

But that was not the end, as Aron's punch was still unstoppable and headed straight for his chest.

"Boom!"

Like being hit by a truck, the man was immediately thrown back ten meters before finally falling to the ground and not moving anymore.

"This..." Not only Wu Jian and his subordinates were shocked, even Aron himself couldn't help but feel dazed by his own strength.

But he had no time to think and immediately jumped over a wall of fire that separated him from the others. He did not stop and quickly ran away.

Aron was not a fool or someone who overestimated himself. He knew that although the previous punch could defeat someone in the same realm, it was merely luck, especially since the other party outnumbered him.

So, he chose not to fight or create unnecessary problems. Moreover, he had no idea how to fight other than punching and kicking.

At the same time, there seemed to be a Martial Artist in the Bone Marrow Training Realm who was always protecting Wu Jian. With such a person and Wu Jian's nature, Aron was convinced that the right choice was to run away.

Not to mention the identity of someone as unreasonable as Wu Jian. Everything was too troublesome.

So, he chose to go to where he was supposed to be. Then, he would look for demon pills to exchange for some points to buy the Evergreen Pill for Jia Chen's healing. As for other matters, he did not want to think about them at this time.

Meanwhile, Wu Jian and the others only reacted when they found that Aron's figure had disappeared from sight.

"Bastard! He ran away!" Wu Jian immediately shouted angrily, looking at the two who had previously surrounded Aron.

"What are you two doing just standing there? Hurry and chase that bastard!"

The two looked at each other, not immediately obeying Wu Jian's orders, but first glancing at the Eternal Flame that blocked their path, and then at their friend who was still lying motionless after the punch exchange with Aron.

"Young Master, it seems he has gone."

"Do you think I'm blind?" Wu Jian grew angrier as he saw his subordinates not obeying his orders. "Who doesn't know that the bastard has left? Isn't it because of your incompetence? How could you let a mere Skin Refinement Martial Artist escape? You even had to lose one person."

"No, actually he is not a Skin Refinement Martial Artist," the man who had been standing beside Wu Jian suddenly spoke, frowning.

"What do you mean?" Wu Jian was somewhat surprised by that statement.

Wu Chong, the middle-aged man who was Wu Jian's bodyguard and had the strength of the Bone Marrow Refinement stage, frowned slightly before answering, "There is something wrong with the previous man. From his breath, he was clearly just a Skin Refinement Martial Artist, but when he exploded earlier, his strength was at the Final Blood Training stage. Moreover, he was able to pass through the Eternal Flame without being injured at all. It seems he is not just an ordinary person."

After hearing this, Wu Jian did not bother to think about it at all. His gaze remained as before, still arrogant, indifferent with a hint of disdain, and now there was a greed that began to show clearly on his face.

"Doesn't that mean he has another weapon besides the fire-resistant one? A weapon that can withstand a warrior's breath, isn't that also a rare weapon? Hahaha... It seems today is my lucky day!"

Wu Jian laughed happily as if he had found a treasure and immediately ordered, "Find that person for me! No matter who he really is, I want him to feel the consequences of offending me, Wu Jian!"
