I don't know when it'll happen.
Maybe on a random day, maybe on a date we circle in red.
Maybe the sun will be kinder that morning.
Maybe the wind will hum a melody only we understand.
But I know this —
One day, her shadow will fall next to mine.
Not on a call.
Not behind a screen.
Not wrapped in signal and pixels.
But right there — in front of me.
Real. Breathing. Smiling. Mine.
I imagine the first second.
Will i faint after making an eye contact?
Will my hands shake?
Will we laugh at how real this finally feels, or just stare like the world stopped spinning?
I don't know how I'll greet her.
A hug?
A whisper?
A shaky "hi" that carries a thousand unsent letters?
But I know...
My heart will recognize her before my eyes do.
Because that day —
the universe will look at us and whisper,
"Took you long enough."
Maybe we won't say much.
Maybe we'll just sit.
Shoulder to shoulder. Silence between us.
And still feel louder than any poem ever written.
One day, when that shadow falls beside mine,
I'll know that everything — the distance, the waiting, the ache —
was just the universe clearing space for this moment.
And when it finally happens,
I won't say,
"This is the end of our story."
I'll smile and whisper,
"This is where forever belongs"
