Leo looked up from his gingerbread house with his small face bright with innocent confusion. "Mama! This is my new friend! She likes the gingerbread!"
His little voice was so full of pure joy, so proud to introduce his new friend to his mother.
Glory also stood up from her chair, her face creased with genuine concern as she took in the woman's wildness and rage. "Sienna, what is it? Calm down now, you're scaring the boy."
But Sienna wasn't listening to anyone. She merely moved into the house with movement so hard and furious that they even looked violent without her touching anyone yet.
She didn't glance at her mother standing to calm her down either, as her entire focus was on Mira like a laser.
"You."
The single word came out of Sienna's mouth filled with so much venom and pure hatred that it actually seemed to poison the air in the once cozy room.
