Chapter 6: The Choice That Changes Everything
Han Wook's fist moved first—fast, sharp, practiced.
The taller boy stumbled back, blood blooming from his nose. The second boy lunged, but Jae Li kicked his knee, sending him crashing into the bench.
Breathless, she grabbed Han Wook's sleeve. "We have to go!"
He nodded. They ran.
Through the alley, around the gym, past the school gates.
They didn't stop until they reached the abandoned greenhouse behind the art building. Hidden. Forgotten.
Jae Li doubled over, panting. "That was insane."
Han Wook leaned against the glass wall, breathing hard. "I thought you said you were scared."
"I am," she gasped. "But not of them."
He looked at her then—really looked. "You said I died last time."
She nodded slowly.
"Then what's different now?"
"You," she whispered. "You believed me."
A long silence.
Han Wook stepped closer. "What do we do now?"
Jae Li opened her journal. "We find out who's working with Park Tae Jin. And we stop them."
He smiled, not cruel this time, but soft.
"Then let's change fate together."
Outside, the cherry blossoms danced.
And the future shifted again.
