Back to the present,
Currently Drake was spinning Elena but then all of a sudden they heard sounds coming from behind. Drake and Elena looked at each other and knew that there are more goblins that are coming towards them. They had to postpone their happy moments and get serious or they will be death meat.
Drake quickly put Elena down and took her on his back and started to run again. They started to run as fast as possible.
At this moment a seventh Qi stage goblin came and saw how his brethren got killed. It got angry and ordered all the goblins behind to find the culprit who killed these many goblins.
Drake who was running so fast made Elena finally realize that this is not something a non cultivator should have, but she thought she should keep it out for later. Then she thought the enemy that is coming towards them is dangerous so she need to confront now with Drake.
"Drake!!" Elena called out.
"Yes! what is it?" Drake looked at her and asked.
"Drake are you sure, you are not a cultivator?" asked Elena.
"Elena, you saw the result, uh-" Drake started to have headaches but memories started to show in his head. It wasn't as painful as before but now his memories are getting inside his head slowly and integrate with him. He started to gain all the knowledge slowly.
Although he didn't reply to Elena but, Drake was running at the same pace and finally Drake has rounded up all the memories in few minutes. Elena was silent all these time and waiting for Drake to reply.
So Drake replied, "Elena you won't believe what I just got to say?"
"Don't keep me in suspense, and tell me already." demand for an answer by Elena.
"After I was thrown to the portal, I just remembered that I had these auras and sound coming towards me. I didn't know what they were. But it seems, I have two different bloodlines, Elena. And I can now cultivate. I currently have 3rd Qi stage cultivation and 3rd Qi stage body cultivation. I am a duo cultivator." said Drake. "But there is more, I will tell you the details about it later which will blow your mind. We need to figure out how to break out of this mess first."
"How much more time you need to recover all your strength back, Elena?" Asked Drake seriously.
To which she replied, "I have already recovered about 30% and I will need a bit more of a time to recover the rest."
"Do you have plan in mind?" Asked Drake seriously.
"I do not have any plans yet and that enemy sound a lot more stronger than the last one." Said Elena.
She further continued, " I am planning on fully recover my cultivation before I could be of any help to you."
"Do you have any weapon in the storage ring of yours?" Asked Drake while still concentrating on running.
"I have sword but it is for ladies. It is a thin sword." Said Elena.
"Can I borrow it?" Asked Drake.
"Of course" she said.
"We cannot run any further that way because we have read in books that said, there are stronger beast or creatures the more further we go in. We wouldn't want any enemy that is peak wood stage or maybe iron stage. We would be toast if we meet such creatures." Said Drake.
"So are you saying we need to confront them" asked Elena.
"We do need to confront it! It is a goblin of Qi stage only not in iron stage yet, I am guessing. And we know goblin works as group and it will split to search for us. So we need to work smart and take care of the smaller one's first" said Drake.
Then Drake gave his plan on what to do while Elena is recovering her cultivation that depleted.
The plan goes like this they will go around the forest and find those dead bodies of the goblins they killed. The goblins there are at least 20 to 30 of them. Elena has one shotted them all. He only hope that the goblins are not waiting there to ambush them. He hope that those goblins are dumb as the beasts. He read in the book that early stages of goblins are dumb.
Drake and Elena circled around slowly by dodging all the goblins and found the place and started to dig out all the cores and put it inside Elena's storage ring. After that they found a cave and conceal it with Elena's formation.
Drake took all the lower one's and gave all the higher one's to Elena. Elena wanted to give the higher one to Drake. But, Drake insist on giving it to Elena so that she could breakthrough to sixth Qi stage or go as close to sixth Qi stage. It will help them win the fight with those goblins. Elena can only give up and do as Drake said.
Drake took all the first and second Qi stage cores and Elena took all the third and fourth Qi stage goblin cores. It took them to cultivate a few hours. It did strengthen Drake by a little. Elena managed to reached peak of fifth Qi stage.
After that Drake and Elena has been ambushing the lower level Goblins easily. It could be seen that the Goblins had split to search for the enemy that attacked them. Drake and Elena knows that even if they could fight higher level enemies, they wouldn't be able to fight an army even though they are lower in level than Drake and Elena.
Elena and Drake had ambushed way too many goblins and this has finally alerted the leader. It realized that their army is becoming smaller and smaller, after seeing so many of it's kind death bodies. Finally he asked to assembled his army. But he found out that there are fewer than it thought. And the worst part is Drake and Elena took care of all the fifth and sixth Qi stage goblins.
The leader looked around and found that the enemy they were searching for is in front of them. Elena is standing in front of him and were preparing herself to fight. Drake is going to take care of the smaller ones by hiding in the bush to ambush from behind.
Elena made many ice shards and attacked all at once. The leader managed to block most of them but few of them went inside it's arms and legs. But the leader didn't noticed that the shards has taken care of the half the army behind him.
Drake thought about it and he thinks, he should never mess with Elena as long she has higher cultivation than him.
The goblin leader was injured and brought out it's club and dashed towards Elena to attack her with full power. While Elena is dodging and fighting the leader of the goblin. Drake took his chances and started to slaughter all of the smaller ones very fast. It didn't take long for him to slaughter all of them except leaving one.
When Drake looked at the fight between Elena and the goblin he knew Elena is using this goblin leader to train herself. Drake thought about it and knew that was a great idea, why didn't he thought about it. After a while, Elena used ice beam attack and killed the leader of Goblin easily.
