"What are you doing?"
Yuna jumped.
That familiar voice—
Lila stood in the doorway, silent as ever. She must have entered without making a sound.
"Lila? Nothing… I just… my parents summoned me. I'm going back."
She continued packing her suitcase, folding her clothes stiffly.
Lila's eyes drifted to the corner of the room.
The crystal ink bottle lay quietly on the table.
The one she had given Yuna after she completed her training as Melchior's assistant. It was custom made for her talented student.
Lila stepped forward slowly.
Glass crystal still glittered in the dim light. The ink bottle was still meticulously maintained. That was how Yuna always was—disciplined, precise. She said she'd treasure the gift and she did.
"You're leaving in a hurry," Lila said quietly.
Yuna didn't turn around.
Her hands trembled slightly as she forced another garment into the suitcase.
