Sakura's heart was beating so hard she was sure Naruto could hear it. With trembling hands, she gripped the hem of her red qipao. She took a deep breath, the cool morning air filling her lungs, and lifted the fabric to expose the pale skin of her back. A shiver ran through her, and it wasn't just from the cold.
She squeezed her eyes shut, waiting.
Naruto knelt behind her. He bit his thumb, more carefully this time, and a small drop of blood welled up. He brought it to his lips, infusing it with his chakra, a process that now felt strangely familiar. The heat concentrated at the tip of his finger.
"Don't move," he murmured.
He reached out, but hesitated for a second, stopping his finger an inch from her skin.
An invisible spark jumped the moment his finger touched the base of her spine.
The blue interface flooded his vision, brighter and more complex than the first time he'd seen it!
[FALNA SYSTEM ACTIVATED] [ACQUIRING SECOND BELIEVER: SAKURA HARUNO] [INITIATING UPDATE PROCESS. CONVERTING ACCUMULATED LIFE EXCELIA...]
Naruto watched, fascinated, as the notebook in his free hand seemed to fill itself under his guidance. He wrote feverishly, his pencil moving at an inhuman speed.
[ANALYZING QUALITY EXCELIA...] [SIGNIFICANT EVENTS DETECTED: 'IMPECCABLE ACADEMIC DILIGENCE', 'UNWAVERING DEVOTION', 'TRAUMATIC AWAKENING'.] [CONVERTING QUALITY EXCELIA INTO ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES...]
The numbers on the screen in his mind skyrocketed.
SAKURA HARUNO LEVEL: 1 STRENGTH: I-35 -> I-80 ENDURANCE: I-42 -> H-115 DEXTERITY: H-120 -> G-285 AGILITY: I-65 -> H-140 MAGIC: H-155 -> F-350
"Incredible..." Naruto whispered, his eyes fixed on the Magic stat. "An F... You beat Hinata in this field by an overwhelming margin. You're a monster, Sakura-chan."
Sakura didn't answer. She only felt a strange tingling, a warmth that spread from the point of contact up her entire spine, as if her nerves were being rewritten.
[ATTRIBUTE CONVERSION COMPLETE.] [ANALYZING SUBJECT'S SOUL FOR SKILL MANIFESTATION...] [DOMINANT ESSENCE DETECTED: 'ANALYTICAL HEART'.] [INITIATING MANIFESTATION...]
A new section appeared on the screen and in his notebook.
[SKILL ACQUIRED] [ANALYTICAL EYE] Active Focus Skill. Allows the user to perceive logical fallacies and inconsistencies in the flow of chakra in the environment or an opponent. When activated, it can reveal an enemy's defensive weak point, the nature of a low-to-mid level genjutsu, or the most efficient way to apply one's own jutsu.
[ANALYZING CHAKRA AFFINITY AND INNATE POTENTIAL...] [POTENTIAL FOR SHAPE MANIPULATION DETECTED.] [MANIFESTING MAGIC...]
"Magic?" Naruto said aloud, surprised. "Hinata didn't get that."
[MAGIC ACQUIRED] [CHAKRA WEAVING] Allows the user to materialize their chakra into fine, tangible threads. The threads are nearly invisible and can be used to create subtle traps, sense vibrations, or manipulate small objects from a distance. The strength and length of the threads are directly dependent on the Magic statistic.
Just as Naruto finished writing down the last word, a new notification window, golden and bright, appeared before him with a silent fanfare.
[CONGRATULATIONS!] [SECOND BELIEVER ACQUIRED: SAKURA HARUNO] [THE CONNECTION WITH THE FAMILIA HAS DEEPENED.] [BONUS AWARDED TO HOST FOR ACHIEVEMENT.]
Naruto felt a wave of warm energy wash over him, erasing some of his fatigue. His own stats flickered in his vision.
HOST STATUS: NARUTO UZUMAKI STRENGTH: H-105 -> H-125 ENDURANCE: H-120 -> H-145 DEXTERITY: I-75 -> I-95 AGILITY: I-81 -> H-101 MAGIC: I-10 -> I-30
"Whoa..." he exclaimed. He felt more solid, more planted on the ground.
But the notification wasn't finished.
[THE STRENGTH OF A NEW MEMBER REINFORCES THE FOUNDATION.] [BONUS AWARDED TO FIRST BELIEVER: HINATA HYUGA.] [ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: REVELATION OF THE SOUL'S EYE.] [SYSTEM NOW RECOGNIZES AND QUANTIFIES COMPLEX INNATE ABILITIES.] [PHYSICAL SKILL AND INTRINSIC ABILITY EVOLUTION UNLOCKED.] [UPDATE COMPLETE. CLOSING CONNECTION.]
As the light faded, Naruto removed his finger. The air left his lungs in a hiss, but this time he didn't fall backward. He felt exhausted, but also strangely invigorated.
"It's... it's done," he said, his voice a little breathless.
Sakura stood motionless for a second before slowly lowering her clothes to cover her back. When she turned, her face was no longer burning with embarrassment, but was pale with shock. She looked at her hands, opening and closing them.
"I..." she began to say.
Suddenly, her eyes flew wide open. The sensation hit her with its full force. It wasn't just a warmth; it was an overwhelming clarity. She could feel the flow of her own chakra not as a theoretical concept from books, but as a living river inside her, one she could command with a simple thought. She could feel the tension in her shoulder muscles, the air moving against her skin, the buzz of an insect twenty yards away.
"I can feel everything..." she whispered, an awe that erased any trace of shyness.
She raised a hand and concentrated. Without quite knowing how, she willed her chakra to extend. A nearly invisible thread, shining like a spider's silk in the sun, shot from her fingertip and attached to a fallen leaf three feet away. She moved her finger, and the leaf lifted, dancing in the air.
The laugh that escaped her lips was one of pure, genuine, and unrestrained joy.
"Naruto, look! Look what I can do!"
Naruto grinned, a wide, ear-to-ear smile filled with pride and relief.
"I told you! I knew you were amazing, Sakura-chan!"
Her euphoria was contagious. She leaped to her feet and, without a second thought, ran to him and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you!" she exclaimed, her face pressed against his shoulder. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Naruto went stiff for a second, completely surprised by the contact. The scent of cherry blossoms from her hair filled his senses. Then, awkwardly, he returned the hug, patting her on the back.
"Don't mention it. We're a team, right?"
Sakura pulled away, her face still lit by a radiant smile, though the blush had returned.
"Yeah. A team."
Hinata approached with a shy, happy smile on her face. Naruto, seeing it was time to explain, opened his notebook and sat on the ground, motioning for them to do the same.
"Alright, Advanced Naruto-logy class, second lesson," he said, his tone turning serious again. "This is what you are now, Sakura-chan."
He showed her the page. Sakura leaned in, her eyes devouring the numbers and letters.
"Your Dexterity is super high, almost as high as Hinata's Agility. Her speed is for movement, but yours is for precision. And your Magic... it's out of this world," Naruto explained, pointing to the G and F ranks. "You're a genius at fine control and raw jutsu power. Your Agility and Strength are still low, but they're much better than before, so you won't get left behind anymore."
His finger rested on the skills.
"The 'Analytical Eye' is what makes you special; it's your brain turned into a weapon. When you focus, you'll be able to see an enemy's weaknesses or the truth behind illusions, and that's what will save us when things get ugly."
Then he pointed to the last section.
"And this... 'Chakra Weaving.' It's a Magic. The system says you can create threads of chakra, like a puppet master!"
"Threads..." Sakura repeated, looking at her finger, where the invisible thread had vanished. "I felt it. It was like... like a part of me was extending itself."
Naruto nodded, his face full of excitement.
"This changes everything. You're not just the smart girl anymore. You're the tactical support, the genjutsu specialist, and the ninja with the highest potential for complex jutsu on the whole team. Sasuke has his Sharingan, I have my clones and my stamina... and you have this. You have your own path."
Sakura looked at him, and the gratitude in her eyes was so deep that Naruto found it hard to meet her gaze. For the first time, she didn't see him as the class idiot, or even as an annoying teammate. She saw him as the person who had handed her the key to her own cage.
Naruto cleared his throat, feeling a little overwhelmed, and turned to Hinata.
"Hinata, I have news for you, too."
"F-for me?"
"Yeah! The system got really happy that Sakura joined us and gave you a gift, I guess as a bonus for being the first and most loyal."
Hinata blushed violently.
"A... a gift?"
"Yeah. It says you've unlocked a physical skill, but to be able to see it and write it down..." Naruto scratched the back of his neck, and the familiar awkwardness returned. "We're gonna have to... you know. Do it again. Just so I can write it in the notebook."
Hinata looked at Naruto, then at Sakura, and her face went through five different shades of red. The idea of repeating the ritual, and this time with Sakura watching, was a nightmare of shyness.
But Sakura, with her newfound confidence, stepped in. She stood up and walked over to Hinata, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"It's okay, Hinata," she said, her voice surprisingly soft and sure. "I'll keep watch so no one bothers us."
Sakura's gesture, her understanding and support, seemed to give Hinata the strength she needed. She nodded, a steel-like resolve in her lavender eyes.
"Okay, Naruto-kun."
The second ceremony was quicker, less fraught with the tension of the unknown and more with a strange routine. Hinata turned around, lifted her jacket and shirt, and waited. Naruto, already an expert at the process, performed the ritual with an efficiency that would have been impressive if the situation weren't so inherently bizarre.
[ACCESSING BELIEVER: HINATA HYUGA] [ACHIEVEMENT "REVELATION OF THE SOUL'S EYE" DETECTED. APPLYING BONUSES.] [UPDATING STATUS...]
Naruto quickly wrote on a new page in his notebook.
HINATA HYUGA LEVEL: 1 STRENGTH: H-125 (+15) ENDURANCE: H-150 (+15) DEXTERITY: G-289 (+15) AGILITY: H-296 (+15) MAGIC: G-220 (+121)
[INTRINSIC ABILITY ACQUIRED] [BYAKUGAN - PREDICTIVE VISION] Passive/Active Ability. Base Effect (Passive): Grants near 360° vision, the ability to see through objects, and to perceive the chakra circulatory system and tenketsu. Evolved Effect (Active): By focusing chakra into her eyes, the Byakugan now processes visual information (chakra flow, muscle tension, opponent's center of gravity) at such a high speed that she can predict an enemy's next physical action a fraction of a second before it happens.
[PHYSICAL SKILL ACQUIRED] [FLOWING STEP] Passive Skill. Reduces stamina consumption when performing evasive maneuvers. The user's movements instinctively become harder to predict in combat, creating involuntary feints and changes in rhythm that confuse the opponent.
"Done," Naruto said, removing his finger.
Hinata fixed her clothes and turned around.
"What... what is it?"
Naruto showed her the notebook, his eyes shining with excitement.
"Two new skills! Your Byakugan has evolved. Now you don't just see, you can predict! If you focus, you can see what an enemy is going to do right before they do it. And you got 'Flowing Step,' which makes your dodges use less energy and be more confusing!"
To demonstrate, he threw a test punch at her. Before his fist had traveled half the distance, Hinata had already moved aside, not with a leap, but with a simple, fluid shift in weight that left her out of his reach. It was so natural it looked like Naruto had missed on purpose.
Sakura's jaw dropped.
"It's... like you knew what he was going to do."
Hinata looked at her hands, astonished.
"I... I saw it in my mind; I saw his shoulder tense up and I knew the punch was coming."
Naruto snapped the notebook shut and stood up. The sun, now higher in the sky, indicated that their time was up.
"Alright, it's time," he said, his tone serious. "We have to go, Sasuke and Kakashi-sensei are waiting for us at the village gate."
He turned to Hinata, his expression softening.
"Hinata, thank you, really. I couldn't have convinced Sakura-chan without you. You're the best first believer a guy could ask for."
Hinata felt her heart skip a beat. The words, so sincere, so full of gratitude, were more powerful than any Falna.
"I-it was nothing, Naruto-kun. We're... a secret team, right?"
"The best secret team!" he confirmed with a grin.
Then he turned to Sakura, who was watching everything with a new perspective.
"Ready, partner?"
Sakura smiled back, a genuine smile, with no trace of irritation.
"More than ready."
Naruto and Sakura took off at a run, leaving the training ground and heading toward the entrance of Konoha. Their silhouettes, one bright orange and the other a determined red, moved with a new synchrony.
Hinata was left alone in the clearing. She watched them go until they disappeared among the trees. She placed a hand over her chest, feeling the calm, strong beat of her own heart.
She didn't feel jealousy. Or sadness. She felt a deep calm and a burning determination.
Naruto had given her power, but he had also given her something more important: a purpose. And he had shared that purpose with Sakura. Their little secret no longer belonged to just two of them. Now there were three. A strange fellowship born from desperation, trust, and a ridiculously embarrassing jutsu.
The future Naruto feared was still out there, waiting for them on a fog-covered bridge. But now, for the first time, Hinata didn't feel afraid.
She felt hope.
Because she knew that no matter what happened, they weren't fighting alone anymore.
