Chapter 302 - Chapter 302

Author's Setting Explanation for Madara's Eye Abilities

The original Naruto series does not explicitly state Uchiha Madara's Mangekyō Sharingan ability—only the powers of his Rinnegan. I haven't read Boruto, but based on my research, only Ōtsutsuki Toneri (the younger brother of the Sage of Six Paths and a descendant of Hamura on the moon) awakened a gravity-related ability—the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, which manipulates gravity and repulsion.

The alien Ōtsutsuki invaders have never used gravity/repulsion abilities (as far as I know—I didn't verify this in detail, so I just assumed they didn't).

So in this book, Madara's "Eternal Eye" refers not to the Mangekyō, but to a combination of the Power of the Six Paths and the Power of Yin and Yang. The Power of Six Paths includes techniques like those used by Pain. Chibaku Tensei falls under Yin-Yang Release. Its core mechanism is to use powerful gravitational force to attract boulders from space and compress them into a sphere. I treat it as a variant of the traditional Tensei technique, but with even greater chakra consumption—Nagato wouldn't have had enough chakra to perform it.

As for Madara's unique Rinnegan ability, that remains the Limbo: Border Jail technique.

This is based on how Sharingan eye techniques function in general: they can be used even when transplanted to others. For example:

Kakashi with Kamui,

Danzō with Kotoamatsukami,

Itachi's Kotoamatsukami Crow used on Naruto.

So I believe Nagato, with Madara's eyes, can use the Six Paths powers and Yin-Yang abilities as well.

As for Rinne Tensei, I define it as a fusion of the Human Path and Hell Path abilities. It is part of the Six Paths but consumes massive energy and may even shorten the user's life.

Lastly, the Power of Yin and Yang here refers to the force granted to Naruto and Sasuke by the Sage of Six Paths at the end of the original story. However, Madara's Yin-Yang is from a diluted Uchiha bloodline, so it's not pure—he cannot use the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei.

(The above is just my personal understanding and applies only to this book—please don't criticize me~)

Uchiha Hikaru's words struck Madara like a blow to the chest. If he hadn't been reanimated by the Impure World Reincarnation, he might've burst a blood vessel on the spot.

"Sharp-tongued brat!"

"You really believe peace can be achieved just by talking about it?"

"For generations, the shinobi world has been engulfed in war. It has never truly known peace!"

"Even Hashirama and I only managed to create a fragile, fleeting calm. What do you kids, who've never known real war, know about despair?"

"Only the Infinite Tsukuyomi can bring true peace to this world!"

Even though Madara had already heard from Hikaru that the contents of the Uchiha Stone Tablet had been tampered with, he still clung stubbornly to the belief that the Infinite Tsukuyomi was the answer.

Uchiha Hikaru wasn't in the mood to keep debating. He wasn't Naruto—talking wouldn't solve this.

If Madara couldn't be reasoned with, he'd handle this the traditional Uchiha way.

He clenched Sword in his right hand and released Saya from his left, stepping forward with both weapons ready.

"Enough talk."

Seeing this, Obito smartly unhooked the chain attached to Madara's war fan and tossed it toward him.

"Your weapon—take it."

Madara gripped the familiar gunbai with one hand and ran his fingers across its surface with the other, nostalgia flickering across his face.

Then, with practiced ease, he connected the kama blade to the opposite end of the fan, interlocking the handles. One hand held the blade. The other gripped the fan. His eyes locked onto Hikaru's.

A flicker of long-forgotten excitement sparked within him.

"Just what I was hoping for."

"As your elder, I'll let you go first."

"Let's see what kind of skill this pampered Uchiha brat has—one who couldn't even beat Obito."

Obito remained expressionless, but inside, he was livid. The comment cut deep, reminding him of all those days in the Academy spent being overshadowed by Kakashi.

Tch. If you're so confident, just fight him. No need to drag me down in the process.

If you lose, I'll laugh in your face.

Suddenly, a jet-black skeletal structure erupted outward, rapidly forming the fourth stage of Susanoo—just as quickly as Madara's had. It surged upward into a towering colossus over fifty meters tall, encasing Uchiha Hikaru inside.

"Obito? Don't lump me in with a loser who hides in dreams and runs from reality."

"Bankai—Tensa Zangetsu."

Sword transformed instantly into a sleek, pitch-black blade—long, narrow, with three raised hooks along its front edge. An iron chain trailed from the hilt, now firmly gripped in Susanoo's massive hand.

Madara's gaze finally sharpened with interest at the strange blade.

"Fourth form Susanoo? Not bad... but that's all it is."

"This sword, though—it's different. A spiritual construct?"

Hikaru met Madara's arrogant stare with one of his own.

"We Uchiha respect our elders and care for the young. You think I'd need my Perfect Form to beat a dead old man?"

Before Madara could scoff, Hikaru's Susanoo raised Tensa Zangetsu—and slashed.

"Crescent Moon Strike!"

A black-and-red crescent-shaped wave of energy roared toward Madara.

Madara calmly raised his palm to meet it.

"Sealing Technique: Absorbing Seal."

A brilliant white light burst from his hand. The slash dimmed as it neared, but didn't stop.

His eyes narrowed.

Something's wrong.

Quickly, he raised the war fan and channeled chakra into it.

"Uchiha Reflection!"

But it was too late. The earlier use of the sealing jutsu had eaten into his response time.

The red faded from the slash, leaving only black—and it carved a deep gash, over ten centimeters wide, straight across Madara's chest.

Had he hesitated even a moment longer, it would've split his torso in two.

No blood spilled—only strips of gray, crumbling paper floated from the wound, scattered by the wind.

But the attack didn't end there.

The remaining force from the slash curved and rebounded—hurtling back toward Hikaru.

He didn't flinch. Susanoo twirled the chain at the end of Tensa Zangetsu, spinning it like a flail to intercept the incoming strike. He skidded back a few meters, absorbing the momentum—before standing firm again.

That's when he saw it.

Madara's armor had peeled away just enough to reveal a chakra imprint of Senju Hashirama's face embedded into his chest.

"Tsk tsk… so it's not just a tactical alliance."

"You literally carry Hashirama with you."

"For an old man, you're kind of a romantic."

Hikaru tilted his head, mocking.

"Makes me wonder… did you leave Konoha because Hashirama married Uzumaki Mito?"

"Was it heartbreak that drove you out?"
