The world of mages was governed by the Six Aspects: Transformers, Casters, Mancers, Wielders, Forgers, and Summoners.
Mirochi had his sights on becoming a Caster. He had been burying himself in spell books and grimoires for the past month. The Awakening Ritual was held every year for those who had come of age.
He would become a Caster, yes, he would. He might have been an orphan, but he was certain he could make a name for himself. If he did, he would be respected. He would be able to help people like him. People who had no one. Like the Tenkari family.
They were a prestigious family who'd always breeded powerful Casters. People who'd command armies and advice Kings. The Tenkari Family where known amongst the world, and the daughter of the youngest heir was a member of their class. Akiko Tenkari was a beautiful sight to behold.
Mirochi could barely keep his eyes off her. She had long silverish hair and sparkling green eyes and was dressed in a golden cloak that had the Tenkari Family's symbol - a long scepter - on its hood. She was dazzling.
As for him, he was dressed in a black t-shirt and loose jeans. His messy black hair twitched softly in the wind, and his glossy blue eyes shone with excitement. He could never compare himself to her, although he did it often. If he became a powerful Caster he would ask for her hand in marriage, and, maybe, just maybe, she would accept, although he doubted it.
