The tone is comedy with undertones of thriller and action.
The setting is in a modern fantasy world that is at peace. But that all only on the surface, in reality the world is like a coin. One side bright and lawful. And the other the epitome of crime. The biggest horror show of villains.
The power system is simple.
Every person is born with a magic trait decided by their family and ancestors. And all of these traits are a derived variation of a 'property of existence' of the original ancestors. The world has now been civilised. And therefore there is no more distinction or discrimination based on traits.
Also... just to be clear, yes, there are cases where a person has no trait, or rather it is not yet understood or studied. in short, everyone has a unique trait that is unique to their bloodline. Ofcourse, this doesn't mean that the traits are intirely unique either. Sure, they are unique in some forms but yes, similarities exist also. It is also to be noted that as part of the world lore. The mc, ( Lucas Cain)'s ancestor. Used his origin power to write some rules into existence. One of them being that the people don't discriminate based on traits and therefore you won't be seeing any of those underestimated mc moments. Sorry.
Now, that the world and the power system is explained. Let's move onto the main story.
And yes, i am sorry for not writing this earlier as an auxiliary chapter.
Anyways,
The story revolves around lucas Cain. An acting student from a well know family of actors. They won't be having any huge screen time for some obvious reasons that you might find out later.
He has unique trait. Or rather, an incomplete one at that. Called 'involuntary perception manipulation'. Which is, to some extent. Useful if used correctly. Now, this trait. Though it appears to be partially active. Is like the universe playing with fate.
As you might have already guessed. This trait is unique because it changes the way the people perceive you. Ofcourse, it would have been better if it were completely active. But oh well,
And therefore, it is completely out of control. Meaning, it is the ultimate misunderstanding tool. For example, if someone believes that the mc is a person with a golden aura. He will see just that. Overpowered in a way don't you think.
Ofcourse, that is not actually the case.
Because, during the trait checking, Lucas was told by his parents that he has yet to awaken his trait.and therefore, as twist brought by fate, his own trait backfired on his own perception. And therefore, he is just... Trait less to himself.
And as mentioned earlier, there is no trait discrimination in this world. And therefore. Our mc is safe from any trauma. Also, just to clarify about the future.yes.he will activate his trait fully.bit you have wait.
And now, moving on to the cause of misunderstanding.
Alexander Cain. The real Mr. Nobody. yeah and if you think there is a connection between the two. Then congratulations, you are only half correct. He is an orphan. And to give an overview of this.
Here is something, Alexander's biological father is the brother of Lucas's grandfather. Yes. There you are. A special Spoiler just for you.
Moving on, Alexander had a whopping 5 traits. Yes, 5, but only 1 is apparently know. Ofcourse, you will know about them as we move on with the story. Just to clarify again bout the only know trait, then it is simple, it is a superior version of Lucas's, and it is under his full control. And also, just a snippet, the range for this is based on the locus point of the ones affecting earlier. Yeah. The full area of whatever the victims cover. Now that is overpowered. Just as an example, in its base form, Alexander could make a person literally feel death. Or rather it's concept. And the person either goes brain dead or just goes crazy.
He is also the legendary Mr. Nobody. The 'King' of the underworld.
But, as fate would have it, he went missing many years ago after a plain crash.
Now, as you can pretty much gues the rest. I won't bother.
Just know this, this story is supposed to be a mix of drama, comedy and a pinch of thriller.
I won't go into the details in only this one chapter itself. Just Comment on it and I would most probably try to get to your query.
And also, in case you are wondering as to why the writing style feels so...barren,
It is probably because of translation and grammatical errors. Also, I apologise in advance if you notice any continuity errors because I do have a file for that data. But am unable to write chapters at the same time because it was saved in another device and now, the whole thing just went down the drain. Literally.
I am thinking of either just making a new file or just keep writing with the help I get from the comments of you guys.
I would much rather prefer to just update any continuity errors that you ask me to change.
