As expected, this injury wasn't one I was bouncing back from easily.

I frowned as my classmates swarmed me when I entered the class limping with a can and bandages still wrapped all around my body. They had visited me in the hospital once they had learned it after the cover-up, and I had to deal with their worry and tears there already. Despite that, now that I was in school they were treating me like fragile china.
Why was I taking so long to recover? Because of how hard I pushed myself and the hack job I'd done with my Race Change. My body was still trying to adapt to my ghoul-y bits, cells replaced one another violently in order to find a combination of genetic information that worked to not make me implode violently. It was a miracle I wasn't actively convulsing and puking up blood right now.
According to the numerous medical exams that Nezu made me take when I told him I had changed my entire species, my body was basically actively rewriting and regrowing itself, all the cells in my body were rapidly replacing themselves trying to find a more stable form like rapid evolution, a process that was quite violent and traumatic to my body. Thus hampering my natural recovery and ability to exert myself greatly.
Still, my efforts did not amount to much as Tsuyu helped me like an old man despite me having a cane for a goddamn reason. She sniffed me before blushing and tilting her head.
"Hakari-kun, did you get a new cologne, ribbit? You smell... nice."
Oh damn, I must still have Musk on. Ah hell, it allows me to not have to wear perfume.
"Yeah, something like that. ...Thanks, Tsuyu-chan, for helping me walk the 5 meters, you can let me down now."
"Oh right, sorry, Ribbit."
She blushed even harder and let me slump down on my chair, after which was quickly swarmed by several students. Mainly Toga who jumped onto my desk with an acrobatic jump and giving me a smile.
"Hi hi Hakari-kun! Did you order a ninja girl? My internship went amazing y'know? I got even more acrobatic, and Edgeshot-sensei helped me get a license to allow me to carry knives! I can use knives during hero work now!"
Toga is my lovely girlfriend, but even I question the sanity of the decision of letting her carry knives freely. On the other hand, Momo dragged her chair next to my desk and smiled warmly.
"Yes, Edgeshot-sensei was very helpful, he also helped me get a license to be able to use my ninja tools when it comes to hero work. He also helped me figure out how to use thrown tools more effectively. I may even be able to defeat you, Hakari-kun!"
I looked down at my still mangled body and then back to Momo.
"Yeah, I don't doubt it."
I'm pretty sure a stiff breeze could defeat me currently.
Toga grabbed Momo and hugged her tightly, making her give a slightly uneasy smile.
"Yup! She got so much stronger! Even Edgeshot-sensei was impressed by her and offered her a sidekick position to take as soon as she graduated. He didn't offer me any though, I think he was just salty I managed to stab his foot during a spar."
Momo gently pried Toga off and nodded with a gentle smile.
"Indeed, I may take him up on his offer, it would be good to work under Edgeshot and get experience under his wing before becoming a full hero."
The entire class was consumed by talks about how their internships went, like how Ochako learned some martial arts, how Mina got even better at moving around with her acid, how Mineta found a girlfrie-
"-What the fuck did you say?"
I was mostly zoning out the entire time due to my painkillers, but the moment Mineta mentioned something about a girlfriend, I snapped out of my haze and turned to him. He looked at the entire class staring at him as if he were an alien lifeform and slammed his hands on the desk with indignation.
"Yeah I did! Why is everyone looking at me like an alien!? It's pissing me off."
Mina approached me and hesitantly tugged on my sleeve while her eyes shook violently.
"H-Hakari-kun, I hate to ask this of you when you are injured, but I'll hold him down and you'll fix his brain damage right?"
I grimly nodded.
"I'll try my best."
Silently, I switched to Diagnosis while Mineta waved his hands angrily.
"I'm serious! Why won't you believe me!? She goes to Mirai High School! She is an upperclassman who interned with me!"
Mineta hurriedly brought out his phone to show us his lock screen showing him with a somewhat average but homely looking girl with light green hair drinking boba with him, they looked rather close. Everyone's jaws hung open, and Kaminari looked just about ready to end it all.
"No... no, this cannot be! How!? HOW!? Did the Hypnosis app I recommended you actually work!? What is this!?
"She liked short guys okay!? I can find love too! I helped her escape a villain during patrol, and she invited me to get boba together! And things just... went from there."

The commotion caused by the impossibility of Mineta being capable of something like finding someone romantically interested in him did not die down until All Might grabbed us for class. Only his sheer charisma was able to overrule the shock of Mineta's revelation.
He took us all to one of the training grounds that looked like a massive industrial complex. Everyone walked there instead of me who was picked up like a sack of potatoes instead of being let walk.
As we all stood on the rooftop, All Might gave us a thumbs up and gestured to the large parkour industrial area with hundreds of pipes and other pieces of machinery that would be hell to get around.
"Since all of you just returned from your internships, I thought we'd do an exercise that should test what you've learned while not being too stressful! So we are the very basics of heroics, terrain maneuvering! Being able to reach where the problem is just as important as knowing how to fight villains!"
"We will be conducting this as a rescue race! The first of the group to reach me will become the winner! Any questions!?"
I raised my hand.
"Yes, Young Hakari!?"
"How am I gonna... y'know..."
I vaguely gestured to my cane and All Might coughed into his hand.
"Ah, ahem, right. My apologies, Young Hakari. Of course, you are excused from this exercise, you should not strain yourself while recovering. That is also an important aspect of Heroism!"
Everyone nodded and I tilted my head.
"Does that mean I can leave?"
A bead of sweat ran down his forehead, but he gave a thumbs up regardless.
"Indeed, if you do not wish to watch, I will not force it upon you, Hakari-kun! All classes are uploaded to the official U.A site so you can review them whenever you'd like!"
Nodding I fished out my beach key from my bag and inserted it into the air.
"Alright, see you all later then."
"Wha-!?" "Huh-!?" "What's that!?"
Everyone gasped in shock as I opened a circular portal with a diameter of 3 meters that looked like it led to a picturesque beach and stepped through, immediately, I felt the change in the air, the moisture, the heat from the sun hanging in the sky and the sand beneath my feet.
During my hospital stay and more, I had tested out this key, and it had rapidly become my second favorite item right next to the Bag of Holding. Having my own dimension was just so damn useful and convenient.
I approached the beach chair and umbrella that I set up beforehand and laid down before taking out the cooler full of diet coke from my bag of holding and set it down next to me, watching the sea while taking a sip.

Using Silicone manipulation I mentally reformed the sand around me, controlling the Silicon atoms inside and dislodging them before gathering them and forming them into a pure silicon crystal side table to set my drink on. While it strained me a little, it wasn't enough for me to worry about it.
I was quite glad to know that sand was also mostly silicon. This entire place was basically my playground. I had already made a large area with Quartz Flooring to mark where I'd pay for a beach bar to be made.
Telling Nezu about my new dimension caused quite a stir, and he insisted that some people test it to make sure it won't collapse on me, but I refused, I trusted Gacha more than I trusted gravity. He had to relent.
Anyways, according to the man himself, this was no doubt the most bullshit item I had pulled. Even more so than the Bag of Holding.
He reached out to some of his associates in I-Island for some consultation about the Key and anything similar and they had nothing. They weren't even close to portal or dimensional technology. And according to Nezu, they wanted to study my key and bag.
BAD.
Real BAD.
They were willing to pay me upwards of hundreds of millions to even potentially billions of yen for the key. Of course, I refused but Nezu informed me that I could have them come over and study the key while I wasn't using it in order to make hundreds of millions of yen without any effort.
I told him I'd get back to him on that. On one hand, that was a disgusting amount of money, on the other hand, I did not want a bunch of scientists poking around in my private beach. This place was practically my private sanctuary.
I'd explore it all, but I was still not feeling so hot. So eh.
Oh right, didn't I get a ticket from Mineta? Maybe I'll get another healing trait to expedite my healing process?

I could do algebra in my head(incorrectly) while fully enjoying the sunset, it was quite weird but also pleasant at the same time.
I grabbed my drink and took another sip, while doing so, I drifted off to sleep rather easily due to being in energy saving mode.

But my pleasant nap was interrupted by a masculine and heroic cough coming from behind me. I pushed myself off the chair and turned around to see All Might in his suit, looking quite awkward. I shook myself awake and tilted my head.
"All Might?"
"I see you are finally awake, Young Hakari. The lesson ended a while ago."
"Oh, right, let me get out and close this place."
I was surprised nobody entered here, then again, All Might probably told them not to disturb me or enter my evil dimension.
But as I got up and put my cooler back in my bag, All Might stopped me by putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Actually, would you mind coming with me? I need to discuss something with you and Young Midoriya."
...Oh man, this seems rather important.

A/N: Hakari may have been discharged from the hospital but the hospital hasn't been discharged from him. He is still recovering from the brutality done to him by Shiggy and himself. This is definitely not an excuse to skip some of the downtime to get to Training Camp Arc and the Wild Wild Pussycats, no sir definitely not.
The Key is such a good item, they are my favorite kind of items and now Hakari has an on demand beach episode. And he could become disgustingly rich if he accepted the I Island, but he does not want strangers using his stuff, if only there was a cute blond girl who could study it for I Island and still get him the money. A shame. Also, I think you guys know what bomb All Might thinks he'll drop on Hakari. What did you guys think about this chapter? I'd love to know.
