Chapter 86 - Avada Kedavra

"Luke, lend me your Flame Sword!"

Seeing Glorfindel at a disadvantage, Gandalf immediately shouted to Luke.

Without hesitation, Luke pulled out his sword from his spatial pouch and threw it over.

Gandalf deftly caught the sword, and its blade instantly ignited with a sun-like flame, so sacred, dazzling, and scorching!

"Evil spirits, stop! I am a servant of the Secret Fire, a wielder of the Flame of Arnor. Evil spirits, stop! The Dark Fire cannot defeat me, you evil Fire of Udûn! Go back to the void where you belong! No evil spirit can pass my resistance!"

Gandalf stood up again, and the Flame Sword, burning with the sun's fire, incinerated the surrounding Dark Arts.

The sacred flames forced Sauron to retreat, standing in equal opposition to the Dark Fire Sauron released.

"May the Valar manifest here and drive out the darkness!" Radagast also stood up again, releasing holy light to join the battle.

For a time, Glorfindel, Gandalf, and Radagast joined forces to fight the Demon King Sauron.

Both sides fell into a stalemate, and the aftermath of the battle caused the massive Castle fortress to continuously crumble and shatter.

Luke knew his strength was the weakest and did not go up to burden his comrades or cause trouble. Instead, he controlled his Patronus to attack the Nazgûl.

"Lord Elrond, I will hold back the Nazgûl, you go help Gandalf and the others!" Luke shouted loudly to Elrond.

Elrond knew that the tide of battle could turn in an instant. After shaking off the Nazgûl, he immediately joined the siege against Sauron.

Only Luke was left facing the nine menacing Nazgûl, and his pressure instantly increased.

The Nazgûl's power was not excessively strong; the only difficult thing to deal with was that they could not be killed, or rather, they possessed the ability to constantly revive.

Every time a Nazgûl was killed, it would quickly revive from the Eye of Mordor and continue to attack.

Fortunately, the white magic Patronus had a restraining effect on dark creatures like the Nazgûl. Luke did not get into a prolonged fight with the Nazgûl. Instead, he continuously had his Patronus harass and ambush the Nazgûl, preventing them from reinforcing their master.

The Nazgûl were not fools; they naturally saw Luke's intention and attacked Luke in unison.

As long as he was killed, the Patronus that restrained them would naturally disappear.

Five Nazgûl held back Luke's owl Patronus, while the other four Nazgûl fiercely charged at Luke.

Luke did not panic at this; he tightly gripped his divine spear, aeglos, in a stance ready for battle.

But the next second, just as the Nazgûl were about to reach Luke, four sharp points shot out from Luke's pocket, instantly flying towards the four Nazgûl.

The sharp points were too fast and caught the Nazgûl by surprise, giving them no time to react. The sharp points pierced through the Nazgûl's spirit bodies.

After they reacted, the Nazgûl finally saw that they were four daggers.

"No!" The Nazgûl let out painful screams; their spirit bodies were severely damaged, and the Dark Arts on them were dispelled by the daggers.

The Nazgûl's bodies rapidly twisted, collapsed, and imploded, then exploded, creating a huge shockwave that instantly destroyed the surrounding buildings.

These were the four daggers Luke had obtained from the Barrow-downs, originally forged by the Northern Dúnedain. They were weapons specifically crafted to combat evil forces, inscribed with runes that could bring disaster to Mordor.

Now used on the Nazgûl, they finally displayed their intended effect.

The Nazgûl struck by the daggers had their evil power dispelled and could not be revived by Sauron's Eye of Mordor for a short period.

Luke's pressure instantly lessened.

And the remaining five Nazgûl, looking at the four daggers hovering around Luke, were also very wary and fearful, not daring to approach. Having lost four subordinates, Sauron, as their master, naturally sensed it.

The giant Eye of Mordor turned towards Luke, emitting evil, dark mental power.

"Young Wizard, I know you; you killed my once-trusted Orc servants—

"I see your hidden desire, your longing for great power. I can grant you great power, teach you to forge Rings of Power, make you immortal, and even dominate this world, if only you submit to me—"

The seductive, corrupting, and fallen demonic voice echoed in Luke's ears, attempting to invade Luke's mind and twist his soul.

Luke's expression was one of struggle; the hair braided around his wrist emitted light, protecting his mind and firmly fighting against Sauron's mental erosion.

But even so, his mind was inevitably affected, producing many crazy, negative emotions, with only a final shred of calm and reason remaining in his heart.

He looked up and saw a smug and mocking expression flash in the Eye of Mordor, as if it had already foreseen the scene of him falling, being corrupted, and then controlled.

An endless surge of unwillingness and anger rose in Luke's heart, and a crazy idea formed in his consciousness as his defenses gradually retreated.

Now his mind was filled with negative emotions due to the influence of Sauron's evil power.

So why didn't he use these emotions to turn the tables?

In an instant, the contents of "Secrets of the Dark Arts" he had read before flashed through his mind, becoming clearer than ever.

He raised his wand, aimed it at the Eye of Mordor, immersed himself in negative emotions, transforming them into endless malice, retaining only a final shred of clarity, and then shouted as if venting:

"Avada Kedavra!"

In an instant, a dazzling green light, emanating an aura of extreme darkness, destruction, and devastation, illuminated the clouds above, striking the Eye of Mordor with ill omens and curses.

Sauron, who was fighting Gandalf, Elrond, and the others, instantly froze. The surrounding Dark Arts, without a controlling will, became chaotic and disordered.

Accompanied by an incredibly piercing scream of pain, Sauron seemed to suffer a heavy blow, and his struggling armor became twisted.

Elrond seized the opportunity, unleashed powerful strength, and thrust his sword into Sauron's hollow, dark helmet.

Sauron's towering form could no longer be maintained, directly disintegrating into black mist and flames, instantly escaping into the Eye of Mordor.

The giant fiery Eye of Mordor suddenly dimmed, and the surrounding Dark Arts also weakened by several points.

Seizing the opportunity, Gandalf, Radagast, Elrond, and Glorfindel increased the intensity of their attacks, forcing the Eye of Mordor to continuously retreat and even shrink.

But even so, the Eye of Mordor's tone remained arrogant.

"You cannot defeat me, nor can you stop me—darkness will return!"

The Eye of Mordor erupted with terrifying demonic flames, unleashing its strongest attack, forcing back the four besiegers.

The five Nazgûl were instantly absorbed into the Eye of Mordor, merging with it.

"Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky—

"Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone—

"Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die—"

The ancient Dark Speech echoed around, seeming to narrate, yet also like chanting a spell.

Within the Eye of Mordor, nine Rings of Men and three Rings of Dwarves appeared faintly.

"One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them———The One Ring shall be mine!"
