I open up my discord again and type, 'Ok I'm ready to go home"
A portal opens up and I head back home.
Once I arrive home, I am immediately stopped by my mum, "where were you? You weren't in your room" she said angrily.
Uh oh... seems while I was away she went into my room and realises I wasnt there, "I uhh went downstairs to the bathroom a bit"
she nodds as she seems to buy my excuse, "ok then"
The next day I went off to school.
Immediately once I arrived at school, I heard everyone whispering about me, "hey isn't that the girl that absolutely destroyed the school bully?"
"yeah with her pale skin and dark hair she look so eerie like a vampire"
I sigh, hopefully this craze over me would blow over,
I meet emily at the classroom, we have english today
We went into the classroom and my english teacher immediately greets us with the words, "Livvy, late again I see" He sighed in dissapointment
We get started on writing an essay, once we were done we went off to recess.
At recess I realise everyone was still whispering about me.
At lunch they were still whispering about me too.
After school I left to go home but on the way back I saw some shoplifters organising an armed robbery at the local supermarket.
It was such a pitiful sight that I realised I couldn't just stand back and do nothing, so I put on my black and blu hood and walked over
"Hey!" I said, "stop what you're doing and put your hands up"
"And who do you think you are? huh? The police? Hahahah!"
"No" I shout, "I'm worse than the police!" I activate my burst meteor shower and completely sweep the criminals away.
The cashiers were absolutely stunned, "was that... Magic?!"
Taking advantange of the confusion I ran away
But why was that... actually so fun! I must do this more in the future!
I went home and immediately went to my room I hop onto discord and type, "I'm ready to go back into genshin impact!"
A portal opens up and I step in, I appear at Liyue Harbour. I see traveler and Paimon up ahead.
Paimon was speaking, "If you wanna find the geo archon, this is the only chance you'll get all year. Guess its a good thing venti brought it up earlier, otherwise we definitely would've missed this year's rite of descension.
I walk up to them, "do you know when and where it is?"
Paimon looked troubled, "uhh might be today, might be tomorrow... Look we're already in liyue so let's go ask some of the locals."
Paimon continued, "Oh right, about the geo archon, Morax. Did you know the mora that we use is named after this god,
but its seen as impolite for people from outside liyue to refer to the geo archon by that name. So, we should refer to the geo archon by the name of Rex Lapis like the people of liyue do."
We go around talking to some locals, some explain to us what the rite of descension is, some tell us where we could see the rite of descension.
We head towards where the rite of descension is held.
Paimon acts as our tour guide, "Paimon heard the best time to make a wish is during the rite of descension, traveler, Livvy want to give it a try?"
We go around to the incense burners lighting them and making wishes.
The rite of descension soon begins, "woah look at all the people!" Paimon exclaims, "we gotta get up front. we can't see squat back here."
"the hour is upon us" Ninguang said, geo energy flows around her and she inserts four glowing gold rocks into the huge ceremonial pot in the middle of the ceremony.
A glowing golden light shoots into the sky, forming a swirling storm, but suddenly the storm turns black, Rex Lapis in dragon form falls from the sky and lands dead on the ground.
Ninguange crouched down in front of the huge dragon, "Rex Lapis has been killed, seal the exits!" she calls out after asessing the situation. guards rush in.
Paimon is shocked, "what? what's going on! Did she just say Rex Lapis is dead?! Oh no the millelith looks like their nabbing suspects that got too close."
I frown, "wait... we got close... are we suspects?"
Traveler turns, paimon questions, "wait where are you going." We follow the traveler starting to sneak out of the rite of descension.
But we only made it down the stairs before we were discovered, so we made a run for it.
"they're here! arrest them!" the guards shout we are soon cornered, "there's nowhere to run!"
We pull out our weapons but are stopped by a voice, "Hey buddies - hold still."
Childe jumps out from behind us. Landing in front of us and taking out the guard with a few slashes, "come with me" he said and we escaped together.
Paimon complains, "paimon is exhausted" traveler hits her with a rebuttal, "Just what muscles does magical floating use exactly?"
"so insentive! you have no idea just how tiring floating around is- wait.." she turns to childe, "just who are you exactly?"
"call me childe" childe says, "In mondstadt I don't suppose you've come across a "signora" by any chance?"
Paimon ponders, "signora... childe... You're a fatui! one of the harbringers!" she shouts.
Childe replies, "oh no don't worry I'm not looking for a fight. I'm not a bad guy... Ok prehaps I'm kinda a bad guy, but I'm not here to give you any trouble."
He continues, "would it be too much to ask for you to keep the sword sheathed? Right now, if you want to clear yourself of any suspicion, you need to get yourself to northland bank."
So, we head towards northland bank. Where childe tells us to seek out the help of adepti and gives us a sigil of permission.
So we head off to the mountains to meet the adepti.
There, we meet moon carver, explaining the situation, "preposterous" He screams, "The liyue qixing... utterly dissapointing. How could someone possibly assasinate Rex Lapis during the rite of descension... and then place suspicion on the attendees?!"
"traveler, of the unjust accusations placed upon you one has become aware." Moon carver continues, "the mind knows its answer, though one must consult with one's fellows lest the mind be misguided."
"go take your sigil of permission and carry with you a message. Mountain shaper and Cloud retainer can be found here. Only fate will decide if you shall find them"
Moon carver tells us to find the guardian of demons, the guardian yaksha at Wangshu inn.
We arrive at Wangshu inn looking for Xiao, we go onto the balcony.
Xiao appears and greets us with the words, "to the blind, everything may not be as it appears."
We begin to talk to him, "a sigil of permission you came prepared, though mortal souls cannot carry this level of adeptal energy, its for your own good. Leave now." He dissapears.
We go downstairs and get some almond tofu for Xiao. We give the almond tofu dish to Xiao. We tell him everything before he finishes the food.
Xiao looked shocked, "Rex Lapis... How could this be? I can't imagine it though times have changed i can't imagine a Liyue without him."
He continues, "I will seek moon carver, mountain shaper, and cloud retainer. It's time they too made their decisions. Adepti do not turn on their responsibilities."
Xiao leaves and we head off too.
We head to mountain shaper's place and meet him there, "You intrude upon the sanctity of mount Hulao and destroy the amber of my mountain."
"Your actions are an abomination of the highest order!"
Paimon immediately says, "wait we can explain" and traveler says, "Look at this moon carver sent us."
Mountain shaper was shocked, "a sigil of permission. one was not aware such things still exist in the mortal realm. Speak. One shall listen to the matter that brings you here,
Then one shal verify the truth thereof. You should be wise to speak the truth, for liyue is not so far from here that one would be easily decieved."
We explain what happened at liyue harbour.
Mountain shaper exclaims, "Rex Lapis... Assasinated? At the rite of descension?! Alas.. Rex Lapis.. gone.."
"traveler, of the matter you relayed, one has become aware. One now knows why moon carver has sent for us."
"Once one has dealt with certain matters here that require my attention, one shal convene with the other adepti"
We head to cloud retainer's place and once we get there we cook some food offering for her.
The door to the domain activates and we head in. A short while later, we start to make our way through the domain.
We hear a voice, "One senses the presence of a sigil of permission, one knows not why you have come, though the sincerity of your offering in clear.. Hence you shall be granted an opportunity."
"Find you way through my abode, and you shall receive an audience with the adeptus whom you seek."
We figure out the puzzle and make our way through the abode.
We are met with a huge bird whom we assume is cloud retainer.
Cloud retainer speaks, "One is most impressed. the path that leads through this abode defies those of ordinary abilities."
"the one before you is the adeptus cloud retainer, now speak of the matter which brings you here." so, we explain the situation at liyue harbour
she is shocked, "the notion is so preposterous as to be unbelievable... One shall have to verify the truth of the matter independently."
"prehaps on shall squash liyue first, then convene with the other adepti-"
Traveler is shock, "excuse me?!" Paimon is shocked, "wait what did you just say squash liyue harbour. Are you seriously going to wipe out the whole city?"
Traveler replied, "But arent the adepti sworn to protect the city?"
Cloud retainer explains, "it is as you say. But if Rex Lapis has indeed been murdered, Liyue is in great peril. To delay in quashing the threat is to invite further disaster."
"It is precisely because one does not wish to see further suffering that exceptional measures are deemed necessary at this exceptional time."
Paimon is shook, "Yikes! Quick you got to think of something! She wants to squash Liyue flat and it doesn't seem like she's bluffing."
I quickly think of something, "You accepted our offerings, that makes this a contract."
Paimon continues, "We made all that delicious food and gave every last bit of it to you. We were hoping you would help liyue out not wipe liyue out!"
Cloud retainer says, "contract. A cruel irony that you should appeal to the notion after the merciless murder of the god of contracts himself."
"The people of liyue seem quite content to dispense with their contracts. They are quite adept at taking that which is composed of black and white, and turning it grey..."
"Nevertheless... Since you come here in the name of contracts, far be it from one to abandon one's contractual obligations. Least of all when you come bearing a sigil of permission."
"Your audience with the adeptus before you has now concluded. Leave at once, disturb me no further."
We head back to liyue harbour and go find childe.
Childe greeted us with a smile, "you finally returned. How was your journey to Jueyun Karst?"
Once we finish explaining everything to him he says, "I see. Moon carver, Mountain shaper, Cloud retainer, Conquerer of Demons."
"Some of these names have never come up in the intel the fatui gets hold of. As a returning gift, I too have some information for you."
"regarding the archon's passing... The liyue Qixing's response really has given me food for thought... They've annouced that, as the true killer has not been found, they are not allowing anyone to pay their respects to the Exuvia.
"They've even gone so far as to try cut off information, but with the rite of descension and all, even the Qixing isn't able to keep a lid on things."
