~Matteo POV~
The prophecy's dangerous edge had my nerves frayed, the war room humming as we scrambled to counter Elias's plan to use Annalyn's blood for Lira's resurrection. My tablet was alive with data, tracking Visaya movements, while Annalyn clutched the focus stone, her pregnancy making her pale but her eyes sharp. Lucas paced, his wolf growling, Calix twirled his knife, and Ezra's runes glowed, reinforcing wards.
Mara and Russo stood by, warded—Mara's Visaya runes flickering, Russo's eyes calculating. Kael, our chained-up traitor, watched silently, and the Moon Alpha's voice whispered about blood risks. We had to stop this prophecy from screwing us.
"We can't let Elias get Annalyn's blood," I said, scanning my tablet. "Prophecy says it'll seal Lira's return. We need a ritual to block it."
Annalyn nodded, the stone pulsing. "Yeah, but how? My blood's already tied to Mara's."
Lucas growled, stopping mid-pace. "Then we cut that tie. No twin power, no Lira."
