Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Devil Fruits and Sailing

After the massacre that Miguel committed against the Royal Family and collected all the wealth that the royal family in Flevance had, Miguel and his crew started sailing to the sea, as they didn't want to stay behind in Flevance anymore. Miguel directly used the Fuwa-Fuwa no Mi's ability to control the paddles and made the ship travel at a faster pace than it would usually go. Miguel also settled in as he placed the king's vault on the ship's deck, which took up at least 10 percent of its space due to the huge size of the vault.

"Whoa, did you rob the castle?" Borsalino then asked sarcastically, but was met with Miguel's proud expression on his face, which indicated that he did, which made Borsalino sigh.

"Now, we'll be hunted and our life would be full of hunts from the Marines," Borsalino then said, to which Miguel just laughed without a care, while both Gyutaro and Ume's eyes couldn't help but shine at the sheer amount of gold that they were seeing.

"Anyway, welcome to our crew, both of you, but we'll both rely on both of you from now on, hahahahaha," Miguel then said, as he saw both Gyutaro and Ume still looking at the treasure, and officially welcomed them into the crew, as their supposed celebration was interrupted by the soldiers earlier.

"Now, let's check the treasures that we got from the king's kind donation," Miguel then said, which made Borsalino, Gyutaro, and Ume look at the stockpile of treasure. All that they were seeing was mostly composed of gold, jewelry, and treasure chests, to which Miguel ordered to separate the treasure chests from the gold pile, as he wanted to see what was in them.

The group then spent the entire five hours separating and putting the gold jewelry into the existing vault of the ship, so as not to make a mess on the deck, leaving only the treasure chests and weapons that were also in the vault. There are a total of 3 treasure chests that are separated. Miguel and the others opened the treasure chests to see what was in them, and from what Miguel could see, it was full of Devil Fruits, which didn't surprise Miguel that much.

Miguel then took out the Devil Fruit encyclopedia, as he wanted to check what the Devil Fruits that they have added to the current ones that they already have. Miguel flipped through the pages one by one to make sure that each Devil Fruits are identified.

The first Devil Fruit that they saw is a Paramecia Devil Fruit, which is called Bullet-Bullet Fruit, which allowed its user to create unlimited specialized ammunition. The ammunition is are manifestation of the user's powers, allowing them to adapt to different combat situations with a wide range of effects. This could be used for any kind of firearms that would require bullets, like pistols, flintlocks, cannons, and other types.

The second Devil Fruit is another Paramecia Devil Fruit, which is called Sash-Sash Fruit or Obi-Obi no Mi, which allows its user to create and manipulate sashes, it could make the sashes store anything that the user wants to store in them, as well as drain their enemies' strength while the sash is connected to the enemy, it could also be used as a secondary arm for the user.

'This reminds me so much of the Blood Demon Arts of Daki in Demon Slayer," Miguel then thought as he read the Devil Fruit ability.

Miguel then turned to the final one, which is a Logia-type Devil Fruit called San-San no Mi. The user will be able to generate and become any type of acid that exists for various effects, but mostly to melt things. The user can control the viscosity of their acid to be able to allow attacks to pass into them and break them down, but also to send out globs of acid that stick and melt in contact, and also to interact with their environment.

The user can use their acid to break down any material you can think of, even Sea Stonee with the right type of acid. The acids can break down metals the easiest and fastest, making most weapons completely useless, even with haki in them. It's hard to imbue haki into something that is melted beforehand. They can also make a specific type of acid that evaporates a bit and releases a type of poison gas into the air as well is possible.

Miguel created a list of the Devil Fruits he currently had in his possession, listing each name along with its abilities. He also described the characteristics of each fruit so that no one would get confused about what they were eating.

"Hey, Gyutaro, do you want to eat a Devil Fruit? You too, Ume? We also have four in the vault—just take a look at them if you're interested," Miguel offered, prompting both Ume and Gyutaro to look at each other, slightly confused.

"Well, since you're both members of our pirate crew now, you should at least have the strength to protect yourselves when we're not around. Plus, do you really want to rely on us all the time for protection?" Miguel added, explaining his reasoning behind offering the two of them a chance to pick a Devil Fruit. His words motivated them, as both Ume and Gyutaro realized they didn't want to depend entirely on Miguel and wanted to contribute to the crew in their own way. They walked over to review the Devil Fruit list Miguel had prepared.

After just a few minutes of looking, they both quickly decided on what to take—Gyutaro chose the Chi-Chi no Mi due to his understanding of the human body and expertise in anatomy, believing he could make the most of the fruit's potential. Ume chose the Obi-Obi no Mi, whose abilities closely mirrored those of her Kimetsu no Yaiba counterpart, which made Miguel smile slightly in amusement.
