Bang—
The fist connected.
But it wasn't the feeling of flesh and blood, but a cold, hard wall.
Concerned that her opponent was a human, she hadn't used much force in this punch. So even though it hit the wall, her hand wasn't injured, not even turning red.
Opposite her, Shinji Kitahara tilted his head, looking at her with a puzzled expression as she was momentarily stunned from her missed punch.
"Excuse me, miss, the school rules state that you're not allowed to run around outside the training grounds, especially in a place this narrow—"
Before he could finish, she reacted, throwing a second punch aimed at his stomach.
Bang—
The plastic bag full of toys took the hit, and an entire bag of toys exploded outwards.
By the time her fist passed through the toys, Shinji had already retreated out of her attack range. He looked at the scattered toys on the ground, then at her, and couldn't help but sigh.
As expected, I was targeted.
The things he looked at on his phone weren't for nothing, nor was he just cramming at the last minute after entering Tracen. He had noticed this horse girl watching him from the crowd much earlier, but because many people were looking at him at the time, he hadn't paid it much mind.
But ever since he discovered she had followed him into this secluded path, he realized she was targeting him. If he further combined this with the information he had gathered earlier, she might be the one who had been stirring up trouble for him on the forums.
He tossed the other intact bag of toys aside, thought for a moment, and raised his hands.
"Um, miss, I think there might be some misunderstanding between us. Perhaps we could talk—"
Whoosh—
A whistling roundhouse kick was his answer.
Shinji promptly retreated to dodge the kick but still didn't give up on his talk-no-jutsu tactics, rambling on, "Are you a fan of Tokai Teio? Or did I accidentally offend you at some point? We can talk about anything. If it's really my fault, I'll apologize to you first. Or if you want some compensation, we can discuss that too."
This time, she didn't attack immediately. She stopped and looked at him with a strange expression.
"Are you... really human?"
Because of his two consecutive dodges, she no longer saw him as a weak human. So when she threw that kick, she had put a little more seriousness into it. Even an average horse girl might not have been able to dodge it.
But not only had this man dodged it with ease, but he also didn't show any relief of having survived a close call. Instead, he seemed completely at ease and even had the leisure to talk nonsense to her. This was not something a normal person could do.
"Of course I'm human."
Seeing that she had calmed down a bit, Shinji quickly spoke up. "Seriously, if you tell me why you're attacking me now, we can find a way to resolve this peacefully together. I can promise not to tell the Chairwoman afterwards. How about it?"
She was silent for a moment, as if she had made a decision, and sighed.
"Alright then, I'll tell you. I..."
Crack—
Before she could finish her sentence, a leg shadow whipped out like a lash, creating a sonic boom in the air.
Bang—
The horseshoe on the bottom of her foot slammed into the spot where Shinji had just been, shattering a large chunk of the wall.
Shinji's eyelids twitched as he looked at the destruction caused by the kick, and he sucked in a cold breath. "Hiss— Are all you horse girls this terrifying?"
A straight punch was his answer.
Bang—
Still the cold sensation of hitting the wall. Her expression finally began to change, her brows furrowed with a mixture of shock and incomprehension.
Even in the main Tracen campus, a place teeming with elite horse girls, she was among the top fighters. The number of those who could reliably beat her wouldn't exceed ten.
But now, even though she was using her full strength, she hadn't even managed to touch the corner of this human's clothes.
"You seem surprised?"
Seeing that she had no intention of communicating, Shinji gave up on the idea of reconciliation. As he spoke, he took off his cheap suit jacket. The large movements from his evasions had torn several holes in it, and many of the threads had come loose, which made him feel a pang of heartache.
You've worked hard, old friend.
Tossing the cheap suit aside, Shinji looked at her and continued, "It's true that you horse girls are physically several times stronger than average humans. But humans, with proper training, can also become much stronger than their peers—though, of course, still much weaker than you."
"I have fought many human martial arts masters, but none of them lasted more than three moves against me." She got into an offensive stance again, her expression gradually becoming serious, already treating Shinji as an opponent of the same level. "I'm starting to doubt your human identity more and more."
"Think whatever you want." Shinji's tone was relaxed, but his expression slowly turned cold.
He raised his hand, and she instantly moved, throwing a straight punch. Shinji made a dodging motion, but just as he dodged, she suddenly changed her footwork. The punch she threw suddenly stopped, and then she fiercely raised her knee, aiming for his abdomen with ferocious intent.
Faced with this attack that was sure to hit, Shinji's expression remained calm. He put one hand in front of him, and the moment it blocked the impact of the knee, the sound of breaking bones was heard. Like an egg hit by a stone, his arm easily shattered.
With a successful hit, her expression relaxed. What's this? Although his movements and reactions are fast, in the end, he's just a human...
But in the next second, she felt a hand touch the back of her neck and then pull hard.
It wasn't a powerful force, but it was applied precisely at her weak point, shaking her center of gravity. Then, in the instant she lost her balance, that hand changed direction, following the direction of her own force, and pushed hard.
Bang—
Using her own strength, she was slammed violently onto the ground. The force was so great that her body almost bounced back up, and her mind went blank for a moment.
By the time she came to her senses, she felt something cold and sharp pressing against her neck, and then piercing it.
"Time for a nap."
As his words fell, accompanied by the inflow of a potent tranquilizer specifically for horse girls, her vision began to blur. Before she could even panic, she had lost consciousness.
After confirming she was knocked out, Shinji slowly stood up, his expression gradually twisting.
"Holy crap, that hurts like hell. Horse girls really are monsters..."
To be honest, he had won this round with a bit of luck. The physical gap between humans and horse girls was decisive. Even with specialized training, he could never go head-to-head with a horse girl. The arm that was completely ruined from just blocking one knee strike was the best proof.
The reason he had won was partly due to his own elements, but mostly because his opponent had been too careless, never considering the possibility of a counterattack from beginning to end, which was why he had been able to turn the tables on her.
According to common sense, an unarmed human's counterattack posed no threat to a horse girl.
Enduring the pain, he looked around and confirmed that no one was nearby. He extended his intact hand and pulled an orange drink out of thin air. After chugging it down, the pain in his arm was significantly reduced. After repeating the same operation four more times, although his arm was still twisted, at least it no longer hindered his movement as much.
As for why he didn't just drink until he was fully healed, the reason was simple: after drinking four bottles, he already felt like his stomach was full of water and couldn't drink anymore. Moreover, because of the pain and drinking too fast, he had choked and spilled a lot of the drink. But since he had a lot in stock, he didn't mind the waste.
With a stomach full of sloshing water, he looked down at the horse girl lying on the ground and noticed a somewhat aged Tokai Teio doll that had fallen out of her pocket.
So she's a fan of Tokai Teio... as if I'd believe that!
He had said so much, and he seemed very calm. How could this be an impulsive attack from a fan?
Then the only other possibility was...
He bent down, picked up the doll, and sniffed it. Then he leaned over the horse girl and sniffed her. The two scents didn't match, and the difference was quite obvious. Even a human like him could tell, which was enough to show that the doll wasn't hers.
He straightened up, looking at the unconscious horse girl on the ground, his expression gradually turning melancholic.
Peeping, stirring up trouble, pretending to be a fan to attack me...
He just wanted to slack off here for three years. Why did people always have to mess with him?
