Upon hearing the Rudora Familia's mockery, Lione's face turned as dark as a pot, but Roy stopped her.
Roy was unaffected by the Rudora Familia; a condemned criminal gets a full meal before execution, so what if they get to gloat a little now?
"See you later!" Roy said meaningfully.
"What an arrogant brat!"
Seeing this, the Rudora Familia members stared at Roy with displeasure, a mere LV.1 newcomer.
A few smart individuals keenly noticed that between Roy and Lione, Roy actually held the dominant position. Was this reasonable? The other person was LV.4!
As Shakti gave the command.
Lione shot out like an arrow, running towards the deep lower passage, as swift as a gust of wind; the monsters on the upper levels could barely impede her steps.
Roy followed closely behind. The passage cleared by Lione had few monsters, making it unobstructed. With his current ability, he could easily handle the upper-level monsters as well.
Their destination was the Tenth Floor!
"Hey, hey, aren't they going to fight?"
"They don't really intend to clear the floor, do they?"
Watching the two run faster than rabbits, the Rudora Familia members were bewildered. Could it be that the other party was so naive as to actually play a Underground City-clearing game?
Even if the other party won the War Game, at most, Lord Rudra would be sent back to the heavens. Trying to deal with them was a pipe dream; they would flee beforehand.
They had little respect for gods.
The two were in a relationship of mutual exploitation: gods granted them blessings and updated their abilities, and they earned money for the gods, fulfilling their various needs.
Very few treated their Familia as a warm family.
The brown-skinned man, the Familia Captain, said in a deep voice, "Everyone be careful; don't capsize in a ditch!"
"Okay."
Everyone replied. They respected his LV.3 strength; once he lost his power and dominance, others would pounce like hungry wolves. This was the Dark Faction, where the strong preyed on the weak.
The Captain and Vice-Captain exchanged glances, seeing the worry in each other's eyes. Their most troublesome situation had occurred: Lione, relying on her LV.4 strength, was maneuvering with them in the spacious Underground City. Even if they succeeded in surrounding her in the end, they would likely suffer considerable losses.
The Vice-Captain shouted, "Form into squads of ten! If you encounter the swift one, just hold her back!"
Under the command of the Captain and Vice-Captain, over a hundred people quickly divided into over a dozen squads. Most squads had one LV.2 Adventurer. If they encountered the two, briefly holding them back would not be a problem.
By then, others would arrive and swarm them. Two fists are no match for four hands. Even an Adventurer as strong as LV.4 would eventually suffer from exhaustion and mental fatigue.
A grand search operation began.
Roy and Lione had no intention of fighting. They used the Underground City's complex terrain to repeatedly evade the Rudora Familia squads' searches and hurried towards the lower levels.
Due to their strength far exceeding the floor's standard, both sides advanced quickly, soon reaching the Tenth Floor.
The Tenth Floor was a spacious cavern, enveloped in thick mist that obscured visibility. From this floor onwards, the Underground City's difficulty would suddenly increase.
People often witnessed the phenomenon of a large number of monsters appearing instantly in this area. What was once an empty space would suddenly be filled with monsters, known as the "Monster Feast."
This was a very dangerous phenomenon, especially if one encountered this situation in the center of the cavern. Being surrounded by a large number of monsters in an instant would cause ordinary Adventurers to panic.
The Rudora Familia Vice-Captain, leading two squads, chased Roy and Lione all the way, being the first to arrive at this floor. However, the thick mist blocked their vision.
A cunning glint flashed in the Familia Vice-Captain's eyes, and he loudly said, "Lione, are you just going to keep running like this? Is this your revenge? How laughable! Those stinking women of Ais Wallenstein died too well!"
"Hahahahahahahahaha!"
Compared to the preceding floors, the spacious environment of the Tenth Floor was more conducive to sound propagation.
The brown-skinned man's mockery and the unbridled laughter of the others echoed within the cavern.
The Familia Vice-Captain's sharp gaze searched the surroundings, but he still hadn't seen Lione. He pursed his lips, thinking, 'That shouldn't be. How could that woman endure it?'
The two sides had dealt with each other many times and understood each other well.
"Vice-Captain!"
At this moment, a Familia member shouted.
Others followed his gaze and saw Lione on a cliff.
The Familia Vice-Captain grinned hideously and said, "Lione, finally not running anymore!"
Finally, this moment arrived. Lione's heart was not as angry as she had imagined, but instead filled with extreme indifference. Her cold, sky-blue eyes stared at the group of villains.
"No need to run anymore. This is where we fight!" Lione's voice was filled with killing intent.
A short while later, the other Rudora Familia squads arrived and entered this floor. At a glance, over a hundred people gathered here, appearing mighty and vast.
The Rudora Familia Captain sneered, "I didn't expect you to confront us head-on. Have you lost your mind because of the deaths of Ais Wallenstein and the others?"
"Kill her!"
At his command, everyone charged towards Lione.
Boom!!
Suddenly, exactly one hundred golden orbs appeared in the spacious open area, flashing with golden lightning. Their dazzling light illuminated the entire floor.
"What happened?"
The blinding light made the Rudora Familia members involuntarily squint their eyes. When the golden light dissipated, they saw a massive army of giants.
Everyone was instantly terrified.
Lione was no exception; she, of course, recognized them. They were the Innocent Giants they had hunted. How did Roy bring these Innocent Giants into the Underground City?
The card that summoned one hundred Innocent Giants was dropped from the Giant Instance Underground City. It was incredibly powerful. Among these Innocent Giants, their average height was around ten meters.
Odd-type giants accounted for thirty percent, equivalent to LV.2 monsters with particularly strengthened attributes.
LV.2 Minotaurs only appeared below the Fifteenth Floor. The sudden appearance of so many powerful monsters on the Tenth Floor meant something, which was self-evident.
Many of the Rudora Familia, especially the LV.1 members, were already so scared their legs were weak.
Leaving aside the Innocent Giants' combat power, just their size, which surpassed that of Goliath, the Seventeenth Floor Boss, seemed to blot out the sky and inspire awe.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
One hundred Innocent Giants charged towards the Rudora Familia. Their heavy footsteps made the ground tremble.
Facing this giant army, comparable to a thousand soldiers, the Rudora Familia's morale plummeted.
Adventurers indeed possessed extraordinary power, but they were also human. Humans die when killed, and they flee when they feel fear. They were not here to risk their lives.
When the two sides began to engage, as expected, the situation became a one-sided slaughter.
In one charge, at least thirty members of the Rudora Familia were directly trampled into meat paste.
