Chapter 113 - Chapter 114: Mash Burnedead and the Monstrous Gym Showdown, Part 1

(Oh, God, am I dreaming?) (I know the world is vast, but how do I believe this?) (Please, God, at least…)

CRASH! BANG! BOOM! CLANG-CLANG-CLANG-CLANG!

"Haha! You're really strong, Sensei! My fists are starting to hurt!" Mika laughed. "Funny, mine too… just a bit," Mash replied. "Oh, sorry, lied a little! Maybe 30% pain? ⭐︎" "Then I'm at 20%." "10%!" "5%." "2%!" "1.5." "1.2! Hmph, not hurting anymore!" "Then I'm painless too!"

(Prove these two, bickering like kids while trading blows like a bizarre manga speed contest, are human.)

"Hifumi, back off—it's dangerous!" Koharu yelled. "They're fighting there, but we're feeling the shockwaves! Will the gym hold!?" "It's… that intense," Azusa said. "Fists shaking the entire gym!?" Hifumi gasped.

Mika and Mash unleashed a barrage of punches, fists colliding faster than human eyes could track. Metallic clangs echoed, shockwaves rattling the gym.

"I can't see… what is that rush?" an Arius student stammered. "It's like their fists are cloning!" another said. "We're asking you!" Koharu snapped. "Sorry, too bored," an Arius student shrugged. "Terrorists don't get to say 'bored'!" Koharu retorted. "What, fight us? Amid that? You'd die," they taunted. "Ugh…"

Neither Arius nor the Remedial Class could move. Joining the fight risked getting caught in the crossfire—potentially fatal.

"Getting bored of this!" Mika said. "!" Grab! "Oops, caught! ⭐︎"

Mika aimed a punch at Mash's face. He caught it with his left hand, swinging her to the side.

"Whoa!" Mika twisted, landing gracefully.

Mash charged, fist ready. Mika braced, but—

"!?" (My heel's stuck in the cracked floor!) "Got one!" Swing!

Mika's heel caught in the gym's fractured floor. She stumbled, and Mash swung.

But—

"Hmph!" Crack! "Ouch!" "Here's more!"

Mika blocked Mash's fist with her forehead, pivoting on her stuck heel to deliver a spinning kick. Mash blocked with his left arm but was blown back, crashing into a wall, buried in rubble.

Crunch, crunch.

Mash emerged, rolling his shoulders. Mika freed her heel, approaching.

"…" "…"

(They both took hits… and aren't fazed…) Hifumi thought. (An even match…) Koharu marveled. (That's Mash Burnedead and Mika Misono… her feared strength…) Azusa realized.

The two locked eyes, calm and focused. Then—

"Ow!" "Ouch!"

"They're hurting bad!?"

Mika's forehead and Mash's fist reddened.

"That hurt! What's your fist made of? What kind of muscles and bones do that!?" Mika groaned. "Your head's insane! Hurts more than punching a tank! Is it made of iron?" Mash countered. "Calling my brain a rock too? Say it!" "No, just your skull…"

They gauged each other's strength. Both fought full force, yet neither fell—only pained.

Now it gets real.

"Mika-san, one question," Mash said. "What?" "Did you order Seia-san's attack?" "Yup. Seia-chan's always spouting weird stuff—paradise, nonsense. Mocking me." "Then—" "But I didn't order her Halo destroyed. I don't order killings." "…" "Just lock her up, make her uncomfortable. But… it went too far."

Mika's strained smile turned to Azusa.

"Ask her for details, Azusa Shirasu." "!" "There's a misunderstanding. Care to explain?" "…" "Seia's incident spiraled everything. Thoughts?"

Azusa froze, gripping her gun, hands trembling. Hifumi held her.

"Hifumi…" "It's okay. I trust you." "…" "Lucky you, Azusa-chan. A traitor like me, but with friends," Mika said. "It's not too late, Mika-san. Stop," Mash urged, shaking his sore hand.

But Mika wouldn't stop.

"No can do, Sensei." "No choice, then?" "Yup. I betrayed friends, killed, led others astray. How do I face them now!?"

"…"

"Sorry, shouldn't snap at you. That's unfair."

Mash realized Mika was beyond stopping herself. She'd lost her way.

If she can't stop, I'll stop her.

"Ready for round two? ⭐︎" Mika chirped. "Yup." "Now… I'm serious." "!"

Mika's carefree aura shifted, intense. Mash braced, meeting her gaze.

"No more heels! ⭐︎" Toss.

(Shedding them makes sense—less restriction.)

Mika hopped lightly, freer, exhilarated.

"You made me serious, Sensei. So…"

Crossing her pinkies, she grinned.

"Guilty! ⭐︎"

"W-W-What!? Pinky cross!?" Hifumi stammered. "Those heels slowed me down. So annoying!" Mika said. "Losing heels won't beat Sensei—" Azusa began. "Maybe not…"

"Right?"

"!"

Mika vanished, reappearing beside Mash—not at his face, but his ear.

"Puff."

"~~~!" Shudder.

Mash collapsed, strength drained.

"Haha! ⭐︎"

"No way!?"

"Why're you screaming!?" Koharu yelled at Hifumi. "That was my spot!" Hifumi wailed. "What spot!?" Koharu snapped. "Sensei's ear weakness… unexpected," Azusa noted.

Mika moved at Mash's speed, exploiting his vulnerability.

"My body's light as a feather, but my strength's the same. Know what that means? I'm—"

"Enough!" Whoosh!

Mash sprang up, throwing an uppercut.

"Missed!" "She vanished!?" "Over here!"

Mika sat on the gym's stage, smirking.

"Told ya—I'm invincible!" Zoom!

Mika launched a flying kick. Mash countered, but—

"Take that!" "!" "And that!" "Hmph!" "Miss!" "Gotcha!" "Call it… Super Sonic Mika Rush!"

Mika struck, vanished, and attacked from new angles, her speed and power escalating exponentially.

"Hahaha! What's wrong, Sensei? No counterattacks!?"

Mika overwhelmed Mash with near-teleportation speed, blending kicks and punches. Mash, unable to counter, focused on defense and damage control.

Crack! Snap! Crunch!

Inhuman sounds—bones, joints, vitals—echoed as Mika's attacks tore into Mash.

"Each hit sounds… deadly!" Hifumi gasped. "Sensei!" Koharu cried. "I can't see, but Sensei's in trouble!" Hifumi said. "Sensei…" Azusa whispered.

Mika's Super Sonic Mika Rush broke through Mash's defenses, battering his waist, sides, chest, ribs, and head. For a normal person, it was like being pummeled by a wrecking ball, targeting fractured bones. Mash endured, clinging to life.

(So painful. My arms and legs are numb… nerve damage? She's strong.)

"You'll lose without doing anything! Take this!"

(Crap.)

"Game over!"

Mika charged her kick with mystique and power, aiming for Mash's ribs. He tried to block, but her attack was faster, grazing his hands and striking his chest, the impact jarring his heart.

"Cough! (A few ribs gone…)"

Mash crashed into the wall, buried again. His first critical injury in Kivotos—mystique-fueled force too much for human strength.

"Felt a bunch of bones break! Multiple spots! ⭐︎ Where'd I hit ya?" Mika taunted, dusting herself off, barely scratched save her red forehead.

"No… Sensei… losing!?" "He's not losing!" Koharu snapped. "Exactly! Sensei won't lose!" Hifumi added. "No way, not even if the world flips!" Azusa declared.

Mika smirked. "You trust him, huh? Face reality. Ribs, arms, legs—cracked. Muscles can't stop that. Veins, nerves—shredded. Think he can move?"

Hanako's face twisted, then softened into a smile.

"Why're you smiling?" Mika asked. "Behind you… ♡"

"What—!?"

Mika turned. A foot.

"BAM!"

A sonic boom rang out as Mika flew right, crashing through the wall.

"…Why?" Mika asked, staggering back inside, clutching her head.

Mash stood, bleeding from head and arms, unfazed.

"Broke your bones, right?" Mika said. "Yup." "Then how're you standing? Attacking?" "That's just me. By the way, you said you broke my bones… you okay?" "What?" "No pain in your hand or foot?" "…!? Ow!?"

Mika's hand and foot trembled, blood seeping.

"No way…"

"When hard things collide… both break," Mash said.

Mika's bones were fractured too. Equal damage. A fresh start.

"Round two, Mika-san." "…" "My turn."

Despite bleeding, Mash stood calmly. The Remedial Class knew—Mash won't lose.

Mika's strength too much? She's this strong here.Too perfect? Injuries added for fun. More to come.
