"So it was that little girl Eula, huh?"
When Yanfei explained, Granny Ping immediately understood.
Yanfei had told her before that Eula once saved her from the Abyss Order.
Since then, the two kept in touch through letters and became good friends.
So, Granny Ping was naturally very grateful to Eula.
"Yes, it's her. In her letter, she told me that Mondstadt recently opened a bookstore called Solace Book Store. Supposedly, you can get rewards just by reading manga there. Things like the power to control wind, a magic staff that lets you fly, and even summoning giant monsters."
Yanfei said it with a laugh.
She still couldn't believe Eula could make up such a wild story.
"That must just be her way of wanting to see you. So she made something up," Granny Ping smiled, sharing the same thoughts as Yanfei.
From what she knew, only a Vision granted by the Anemo Archon could control wind.
Could that bookstore really hand out Visions? Impossible!
Having followed Rex Lapis through countless battles, Granny Ping had never heard of such a thing.
"Well, either way, it'll give you a chance to relax in Mondstadt."
She looked kindly at Yanfei.
Working non-stop wasn't good for her either.
"Mm, I was thinking the same. Besides, I heard from Xiangling yesterday that she wants to go to Mondstadt to search for cooking ingredients. I figured I'd drag her along."
"The Wanmin Restaurant girl? Good, you'll have company then."
Granny Ping nodded. With someone traveling together, she felt more at ease.
After chatting a while longer, Yanfei headed to Wanmin Restaurant.
Not long later, she arrived.
As usual, the entrance was crowded with customers.
"Still as busy as always." Yanfei sighed.
Wanmin Restaurant was known for its affordable, delicious food, deeply loved by the people of Liyue.
She herself had often come here in the past.
"Yanfei, you're here! Want something to eat?"
Seeing her, Chef Mao paused his work and greeted her warmly.
The girl before him was a friend of his daughter, Xiangling, and often came by.
"Master Mao, I'm here to see Xiangling. Is she around?"
"She's inside packing. Says she's heading to Mondstadt."
Mao looked both proud and helpless about his daughter.
Her passion for cooking surpassed even his own.
Lately, she'd been saying she'd eaten all the ingredients Liyue had to offer and wanted to see what Mondstadt had instead.
"So soon? I'd better catch her before she leaves."
Yanfei hurried inside.
Mao just shook his head with a chuckle and went back to work.
"Eh? Yanfei, what are you doing here?"
Inside, Xiangling was tidying her luggage. Seeing her friend, she was surprised.
"Fast as ever. I only mentioned Mondstadt yesterday, and today you're already packed."
Yanfei teased, glancing at the neatly prepared luggage.
"Hehe, just the thought of Mondstadt's food waiting for me makes me drool."
Xiangling's eyes shone, then she apologized, "I'm heading out soon, so I can't play with you today."
She assumed Yanfei had only come to hang out.
"No worries. I'm going too—let's travel together."
That was exactly why Yanfei had come. The timing couldn't be better.
"Huh? You're going to Mondstadt too?"
Xiangling was shocked. Was her usually busy friend really traveling abroad?
"Yeah. A Mondstadt friend invited me."
Yanfei explained about Eula's letter.
Xiangling couldn't help laughing.
"Your friend is hilarious. A bookstore where reading manga gives you powers?!"
Reading a manga about cooking and instantly gaining top-tier culinary skills?
Wouldn't that drive Xinyue Kiosk and Liuli Pavilion out of business?
"Tell me about it." Yanfei shrugged helplessly.
Yet, in her heart, doubt lingered.
Eula wasn't normally the type to joke around like this.
Could such a bookstore actually exist?
No way. Absolutely impossible!
"Alright then, let's go together."
Xiangling slung her bag over her shoulder.
"Mm!"
After saying goodbye to Chef Mao, they headed to Yanfei's home so she could grab her things, then set off for Mondstadt.
The sun was still high.
Both being Vision holders, if they traveled quickly, they'd make it to Mondstadt before nightfall—just in time for dinner.
Mondstadt – alley outside Solace Book Store
After some effort, Lumine, Paimon, and Mona finally returned with Boss Han's requested supplies.
"Phew, I'm exhausted. I'm eating double tonight!"
Paimon panted dramatically, as if she'd collapsed from overwork.
Lumine could only roll her eyes. She and Mona had done most of the heavy lifting.
She turned to Mona with gratitude.
"Really, thank you so much. Without you, we'd have been stuck."
When they first arrived at the shop, they realized they didn't even know what ingredients Han wanted.
Luckily, Mona had once lived in Liyue and was familiar with its dishes.
Seeing Lumine looking lost, she'd stepped in to help select everything.
The goods were now stored safely in her Vision's space.
"No need to thank me. It's the least I could do."
Mona waved her hands quickly.
Part of it was just her kind nature.
But mostly, she still felt guilty about her earlier rash attempt at fortune-telling.
Helping now was her way of making up for it.
"Come on, stop dawdling! Let's go in. Maybe there's a new manga today!"
Paimon zipped into the shop ahead of them.
Lumine and Mona shared a smile, then followed.
"Boss, we're back! Did Doraemon update yet?"
Paimon asked the moment she entered. Surely it had, after two days!
"Not yet. Be patient."
Han Feng waved her off.
This little one was just like Venti—always pestering about Doraemon.
When someone finally pulled the Gourmet Tablecloth from it, whoever didn't get it would be sick with envy.
"Boss, we've got your ingredients. Do you need them now?"
Lumine asked softly.
"Later. No rush. Thank you, you must've gone through a lot."
Han Feng smiled.
It was clear they'd put in serious effort.
Thankfully, they'd had help.
"By the way, Boss, we weren't the only ones. Mona was a huge help."
Lumine stepped aside, revealing Mona.
"I helped too!" Paimon muttered indignantly.
"Welcome, mysterious astrologist—Astrologist Mona Megistus."
Han Feng smiled faintly.
So it was her. Just as he'd suspected, she had been trying to divine him earlier.
"He really knows who I am?!"
Mona's heart jolted.
They had never met, yet he spoke her full name.
So her guess had been right—he was no ordinary man.
A god from ancient times?
An Adeptus?
Whoever he was, he wasn't someone she could afford to offend.
Flustered, she bowed.
"Boss Han, I apologize for my rash divination earlier. Please forgive me—if compensation is required, I'll provide it."
"Mona's being so humble? Totally different from before," Paimon whispered.
Back when they first met, Mona had been so proud and aloof.
Now, in front of Boss Han, she was trembling.
As expected, Boss Han really was on another level!
"No need. Bringing me the ingredients is enough. But if it happens again, it won't end so simply."
Han Feng said calmly.
"I won't! I'll never divine without permission again!"
Mona promised in a rush.
Just the memory of her last "punishment" still made her shudder. She didn't dare risk another.
But then, his words echoed in her mind.
If the first punishment was having her clothes blown off by the wind… then what would the next be?
The thought alone made her face heat up uncontrollably.
"Eh? Mona, why are you blushing?"
Paimon tilted her head.
Was she just tired from the trip?
While they spoke, The Lady finally finished reading her manga.
