"Drink some water and relax. We're here for class just as everybody else. Why so many questions " Wesley made himself comfortable beside her and continued with a smile, "You haven't answered my question. Why are you guys packing food? You going somewhere?"
"So you're a psychology major? How come you weren't in any of the classes? Kendin and I are going on a picnic after this class, so he's packing food and some snacks for us." She replied after sending him another long line of questions.
"Is that right? Maybe we should join you guys." He said teasingly.
"No!" Katrina said, almost shouting. Realizing that she raised her voice a little too much, she looked around in embarrassment and looked back at Wesley to find him chuckling.
"Why are you here!?" She asked sternly.
"Right. I'm here to spend time with you." Wesley said as if it was an obvious thing. This earned him a hard glare from Katrina and when she saw Mr Kenneth at the door of the lecture hall, she turned to him and said with the same tone, "Don't distract me!"
To this, Wesley raised his hand in defeat, with a smile on his face.
They couldn't continue their conversation because Mr Kenneth walked in with a really straight face. He put his backpack on the podium and proceeded with his lecture.
Fifty mins later, he marked the end of his lecture and left the lecture hall. As soon as he left, Wesley crooked his arm over Katrina's shoulders and said with a smile, "Should I walk you home?"
Katrina shook his arm off of her and aloofly said as she packed her books, "I'll pass. I don't want you knowing where I live. Who knows what type of creep you could be." Although she said that, her heart was thudding so hard over her chest and it's been like that for the past hour since he sat beside her. She could'nt concerntrate almost the whole lecture and she feared she missed a great deal of content. Lucky for her, Mr. Kenneth mostly did introductions about the course and gave out the course outline.
Hearing her brush him off in such an aloof manner, Wesley smirked. He'd seen the way she had been sneaking glances at him the whole lecture. He could even detect the hidden nervourseness in her voice. He was about to say something when his phone started ringing. He took it out from his pocket and his face fell whe he saw the caller ID.
He replied the call and Katrina could swear she saw his whole personality change as she listened to him talk and watched his body language.
"Uncle Edwin." His voice was as cold as an iceberg and he showed no emotions on his face.
"Your classes are over. Why are you not home yet?"
"None of your business. Don't call me unless it has something to do with the business."
At this moment, Jason walked up to them with Jimin, Boomin and Chris. The four guys had been waiting for the conversation between the two to be over by keeping themselves occupied with flirting with some of Katrina's classmates when they suddenly felt the room temperature drop by a few degrees. Boomin looked over at the couple to find Wesley on the phone. He got the other guys to look over and Jason could tell at first glance that someone had pissed Wesley off. He looked at Katrina and found her staring at Wesley with an inexplicable look. He signalled the other guys that it was time to go and they went up to them.
Seeing his friends standing infront of him, Wesley dropped the call and looked back at Katrina who was now getting ready to leave. He also took his stuff and without saying anything, they all walked out of the hall in a somewhat awkward silence.
That was until Katrina jokingly asked Wesley why he's in a suit.
"Why?" He asked. "Don't you think I look good in it." He teased and in response, Katrina rolled her eyes and said nothing. Wesley could see that he had an effect on her. Having had women throw themselves at their feet for so long, he was now able to read people's expressions and he almost always saw the blush on her face whenever he's close to her.
When they got outside the hall, they saw Assistant Mahoney standing beside a limousine not far from them.
"I think I'm gonna have to head to the company right now." Wesley said and took Katrina's bag from her. "I'll give you a lift." He gave her no chance to object and Katrina could feel the envious stares of her classmates on her. There were over fifty students in her class and although some had already left, most of them were still outside the lecture hall chatting with their friends.
Assistant Mahoney standing not far from the hall beside a limo had brought a lot of attention and students were wondering who he came to pick. Seeing the five hot guys that were in their class walking straight to him with a girl among them increased their chatters. To top it all off, Wesley took her bag and pulled her to he limo.
Katrina felt so ambarrassed being the centre of attention on the first day of school and tried not to make eye contact with anyone. Her heart was beating so fast and her cheeks were super flushed.
After seeing them settle in the car, Assistant Mahoney drove out of the school campus and with Katrina giving directions, he got her to her apartment where they dropped her off. After making sure that she's safe, Wesley instructed Assistant Mhoney to drive them to the hospital.
When she got inside her apartment, Katrina changed her clothes and went to meet Kendin. They spend the rest of the day together and a few minutes before eight pm, they went separate ways. When she got back home, she took a nap and by the time she woke up, it was almost ten pm. She got up to take a shower before she commenced her study session.
