Remi's POV
Pranggg!! "What do you want, Yon! Do you think we have a lot of money?! Instead of gambling, why don't you give me the money? I need it more than you!" shouted my mother, Mera.
"You? You need money? For what?! Huh? It's probably for hanging out with your girlfriend, right? Don't think I don't know about your naughty behavior out there, Mer!" retorted Yono, my father, in an equally loud voice. "What do you mean, Yon!" Mera retorted.
Blah blah blah. That was the festive atmosphere in my house when I got home from work. My exhaustion from work was doubled by the drama at home. I was too tired to listen to it.
So I went straight to my room, put on my headphones, and turned up the music. It looked relaxing, didn't it? It wasn't. But I tried to distract myself. I was really too tired to cry. I used to cry every night because of my parents' arguments.
"Aaaahhhhh... Keep going, Remi! You have to work tomorrow. Work until you drop! For the money!" I encouraged myself. Honestly, I was exhausted, from everything. But I wouldn't give up. Not until I felt like I couldn't take it anymore. Until then, I would try my best.

Sunday arrived, the time I had agreed to go to Disneyland with Mira. I had left home at 9:30. And now, at exactly 10:00, I was already at the Disneyland entrance.
"You're so late!" I cursed because Mira still hadn't arrived. Five minutes later, Mira called me. Do you know what she said? "I'm so sorry, Rem! My brother suddenly asked me to accompany him to the mall.
"I'm so sorry, Remmmm!" Mira said. "That kid is so stupid. I'm all alone again. This seems like his revenge for leaving him at the mall yesterday. Okay. Since I'm here, I'll just relax." I was talking to myself again.
I went inside, planning to enjoy some me-time. Until I ran into them again. Guess who? Yup. Ren and Michael. They seemed to be everywhere. I felt like I'd accidentally bumped into them too often. Maybe this is fate? Haha.
It could be.
At first, they didn't notice me. Until Michael turned around, and then he noticed me. As soon as he saw me, he ran towards me, screamed, and hugged me. I crouched down to greet him with a smile.
"Sis Emi!! Why don't you come over to Mike's house to play? Mike misses you," Michael said with a pout. This kid is really cute. I think I'm falling in love with him. Of course, it's not that kind of love.
"Sorry, Mike, I'm really busy. "I'll come over to your house again sometime, okay?" I coaxed Michael. Michael cheered in response. "What do you want to play with Dad, Mike?" I asked Michael.
"Mike wants to ride the Ferris wheel, Sis. Are you coming? Is that okay, Dad?" Michael asked me, seeking his father's approval, which he responded with a nod. "Yeah, Mike's riding the Ferris wheel with Dad and Sis Emi!" I smiled at Michael's excitement.
We tried various rides, and before I knew it, it was already past 12. No wonder I was hungry. And it seemed like they both felt the same way. We went to a nearby cafe and ordered our food.
Ren's POV
We met again. This woman was like a ghost, appearing everywhere. Well, it wasn't a bad thing. Honestly, I enjoyed my time with her.
"What do you want to eat?"
"Eee... I'll just go with you, Ren."
While waiting for my order, I noticed my son talking to Remi. Mike seemed happy to see him, which honestly seemed strange. Mike rarely interacts with strangers since his mother passed away.
They ate heartily when the food was served. I saw rice at the corner of his mouth, and without realizing it, my hand reached for it.
I saw him staring at me with horror. I guess he didn't expect me to do that. Haha. Funny.
"What's wrong, Ren!"
Uh oh, he seemed a bit embarrassed. Interesting. Honestly, I was attracted to him. Not because of his looks. Remi is indeed quite beautiful. But maybe the saying, "First win the daughter's heart, then the father's" was a bit true.
At first, I didn't really think much of him. But seeing my son so interested in him stirred something inside me. Maybe that's why I started paying attention to him. If I asked him what I wanted to do with him, I'd probably say I wanted to try it.
"Where do you want to go next?"
"Mike wants to go on another ride, Dad!"
"Haha, okay, Dad's a hero."
Remi watched the interaction between father and son. She felt a little envious, comparing them to her family. "I'll be like them when I have kids," she thought.
