Adrian's lips pressed into thin lines as he watched a translucent screen suddenly appear and block his vision.
'Now what?!' He was slightly irritated now. Never ever did he feels so helpless for being weak.
The last week was literally full of random people trying to toy with him. And unfortunately, be didn't have any submissive fetish that would let him enjoy it.

The same words kept on running in a loop before an intrgued Adrian.
After many such attempts, the screen finally displayed -

It wasn't everyday that one could see their entire life history on a suspicious screen floating right in the centre of their vision.
'Thank you...' he whispered under his breath as he saw much of his personal information censored. And instinctively he knew it was the presence within him who had done it.
"Wait!! What? The seal has been broken?? Just like that?!!"
Adrian gasped in shock and surprise while he felt a pleasant fulfilment inside him...this was massive news. He had been on the run for the last 2 years, always hiding and blending to avoid dangers. His power had been seized leaving him no other option but to run.
'I can once again level up...' His growing excitement suddenly dimmed as he remembered the one responsible for helping him in this. And soon, he heard the voice he didn't want to.
"What's with that face? Thank me for the gift or atleast smile. I had to do a lot of research just to get my hands on this cure."
Adrian sighed and rolling his shoulders, he asked cautiouly, "So what do you want? Working so hard just so as to make me your captive....I imagine you have some type of work for me. Just get on with it already."
In an exasperated voice, she replied back "I am not that bad...but okay, since you can't wait to work, let me explain what I did to your soul...."
Adrian interrupted her. "You don't need to tell me all that. Soul noding might not be known to many, but I know that my life is right now in your hands."
"Tch...runied my show off." The voice retorted back, the clicking of tongue taking Adrian by surprise.
He couldn't help but ask.
"Do you only act cold towards your subordinates? You seem like a spoiled child right now"
"What the..." The voice trailed off, not at all expecting such words of indignation. Clearing her throat, she then spoke in a serious voice, "Your life is in my hands, Adrian...so you see as a payment of allowing you to live, you must do few tasks for me."
'That somehow sounds... so childish. Or is it just me who thinks so?'
She continued, "The screen you see in front of you, you can call it system for your own convenience. Missions, updates to your own level, all such shall be spoken by the system in that same monotonous voice you heard moments ago. Any other things to notify you on, I shall directly be speaking to you through the system."
"That's all...Got it?"
Adrian slightly tilted his head and looked at the system with blank eyes.
Then in a low voice, he replied, "I see...I see... Blackmailing, threatening and making me do your work."
Then he laughed. A low, malicious growl that increased to a deep laughter.
Almost as if he was amused, he then cautioned.
I would highly suggest you to look your doors and windows at night. You wouldn't like to know what I would do if I were to get my hands on you...and believe me, I shall."
"...Blackmailing and threatening? Quite the words coming from someone who did the exact thing a few days back." The voice replied back after a slight hesitation.
He sighed. Then in a raspy voice,he said.
"Atleast I killed a rapist, a murderer who killed not out of necessity but out of their own indulgence in pleasure and sin. Atleast I brought justice unilke you. You killed innocents and destroyed families dependant on them. I have morals and shit, not heartless like you."
But no reply arrived.

'Finally she is giving the work...'
But all he saw were question marks. Where were the missions?
Fortunately, he didn't have to wait for long. One by one the question marks started removing. First came the Side Quest.

'Hmm...not that hard i guess.' Adrian internally nodded.
Next came the Time-Limited Quest.
[Time-Limited Quest: Investigate for signs and expose the corruption within the administration at Woodrock City (Time: 1 week)]
He rolled his eyes and looking sideways asked "Are we playing the hero now, Miss Whatever-You-Are?"
"I have a name..."
"Which I am not aware of" Adrian simply shrugged it off. It was not his fault anyway. No victim asks the name of their captor out of gratitude, atleast not in their right mind.
"Evelyn. That's my name..." Her voice was low.
He didn't know what possessed him at that moment. It was as if it was completely natural, as if he had known it all along. He subconsciously muttered out.
"Evelyn Bianchi...?"
Her voice came back, too tense as she asked, "You k-know my name?"
Meanwhile, Adrian was confused. He felt as if he knew the name. No it was as if he should know the name, know her. But as he tried to concentrate, a sharp pain assaulted his mind and his mind turned hazy, a white fog clouding his thoughts. His focus broke at that moment but the pain lingered.
Alongwith it arose a new suspicion.
'Strange, by her tone it seemed I said her actual name. But why can't I remember anything else? And why are my thoughts so hazy...?' No matter how much he tried thinking, it was useless.
But not wanting to act more strangely in front of her, he diverted the topic as he greeted her.
"Oh? Nice to meet you Miss Evelyn." Then he sarcastically added, "I hope you take good care of me, Righteous Lady~"
She ignored his provocation and simply "hmmed". Though it might be Adrian's imagination when he thought she sounded ...angry this time?
But he didn't have time for any contemplation as the Main Quest was soon displayed.
