A week later, Kenny was discharged from the hospital. With his health restored, he returned home as well.
But the moment the city visitors left, things began to stir. Many of them uploaded stories and videos on YouTube and across different social media platforms, claiming they had seen ghosts in Zemura village. Some even went live, insisting they had witnessed spirits with their own eyes.
Within hours, their videos went viral.
The internet divided instantly—some people dismissed the stories as baseless rumors, while others grew curious, whispering, "What if it's true? What if the villagers aren't humans at all, but spirits pretending to live there?"
Others laughed it off, saying the villagers were just running a scam to make money by tricking outsiders. And then there were the daredevils who said, "Let's go there and find out if the ghosts are real."
The more people argued, the more the story of Zemura spread—through towns, cities, and even across the country. Zemura had gone viral.
At home, Vixen was quietly chopping vegetables when he switched on the television. The news channel blared across the room, covering the latest gossip about the haunted village of Zemura. His jaw tightened. With an irritated sigh, he turned the TV off and muttered to Kin,
> "It's started already… these news channels, twisting stories, spreading nonsense. Yes, our village is… different. But listen to how they're talking about our people—like they're some sort of monsters."
Over the next few days, the chaos only worsened. Groups of curious outsiders arrived—some were reporters, others were just thrill-seekers, and even school teenagers came, wanting to hear from the villagers about ghosts and spirits.
And the villagers, honest and simple-hearted as they were, told the truth. They didn't hide what had happened.
That honesty, however, only fueled more suspicion. Some visitors muttered uneasily, "So… the rumors might actually be true?"
The moment those whispers spread, the news channels exploded. Every outlet wanted a piece of the story, and with each report, the truth became more distorted.
"Zemura Village is full of zombies!" declared one report.
"There are vampires lurking in Zemura!" cried another.
The exaggerations spiraled out of control, feeding the frenzy.
The once-quiet Zemura was now suffocating under the weight of unwanted attention. Reporters swarmed, cameras flashing, outsiders prying, rumors multiplying.
And in the midst of it all, Vixen's family—and the villagers themselves—were plunged into deep unease.
