Summer is the time of the year almost every student looks forward to. You finally get to rest after working so hard, the entire semester. It is however important to note that how you spend your summer could affect your grades in the next academic session.
Here are some tips on things you can do with your summer so your grades don't decline, but rather improve.
1. Get enough rest- Everyone knows how tiring every school session can get. Since you're just coming out from one you need as much rest as you can get from all the studying and bad lifestyle habits you might have gotten into to secure your grades.
2. Make a summer bucket list- This would typically include all the things you plan to do with your summer. Go all out and include fun activities with your friends and family, things you'd like to try, places you'd like to visit and so much more.
3. Plan your summer - now that you have your bucket list, you're going to designate activities to days. This is not fixed as life happens and some things don't go as planned so be open minded to some days not working out.
4. Include your summer study schedule - based on the activities you assigned for each day you want to pick a time that's consistent for you or maybe a time range. As well as set a reasonable and realistic amount of hours that you can consistently study for each day. This time should be the lowest possible time you expect yourself to study for, so you can permit yourself to go higher but not lower.
5. Study ahead for the coming session- It is always better to study a topic or concept before you're taught at school. This just gives you the advantage of understanding easily as well as prepares you for the class so you know the questions to ask. A+ students always study ahead and this sets them apart from others. You don't need to cover the entire curriculum, you just need to cover a few topics beforehand.
