In Dan's scarlet eyes, the three tomoe slowly spun, eventually forming into the shape of three scythes.
Suddenly, the space around the dropped loot began to twist and distort—and in the blink of an eye, everything vanished into thin air.
"!!!"
"What the hell... was that just now?!"
"That energy was terrifying... I swear it felt like it could tear me to shreds..."
"Was it magic?"
"But Dan didn't chant a single word! He just looked at it!"
"Can a quick-cast spell really be that powerful?"
"Or maybe... it's a skill...?"
Lyra clutched her chest, eyes wide, locked on the now-empty space. Her heart was pounding like crazy, and cold sweat was dripping down her forehead.
It was terrifying. In that split second, it felt like she had been completely locked onto. There was no escape at all…!
So this is the trump card Dan was talking about? The one he claimed didn't need divine blessings to make him strong?
If that move had been aimed at a person instead of loot… he could've taken out a level 2 adventurer easily. Maybe even a level 3!
Lyra let out a bitter chuckle and glanced at Dan, who was smiling like nothing happened.
"You… seriously, how many times are you planning to scare the hell out of us?"
It's not just his weird, unexplainable luck. It's the endless abilities too. Dan, man… you never stop surprising people, do you?
Taking a deep breath, Lyra was the first to regain her composure.
"This isn't the place to talk about it. And everyone, don't go poking around Dan's secrets. The fewer people who know stuff like this, the safer we all are."
The girls all snapped back to their senses and immediately shut up, glancing around warily.
Lyra stepped in front of Dan and looked up into his now-normal eyes.
That ability… did it activate just by looking?
"As the leader, I'd like to ask a few things. Of course, if it's something you can't say, feel free not to answer."
"Some things are best kept hidden—for everyone's sake. You get that, right?"
Dan gave a slight nod, clearly not too bothered.
After all, Kamui was just one of his many abilities. If someone thought this was his ultimate move, they were in for a nasty surprise.
"I trust all of you completely. But since you asked like that, I'll share what I can depending on the situation."
The girls looked relieved at his response, and even Lyra smirked a little before softly asking:
"First question—where did those materials go?"
"A special pocket dimension that only I can access."
"Thought so. Alright, second question—how big is this space?"
Dan paused, clearly debating how to answer.
Lyra raised an eyebrow. "You can't say?"
Dan shook his head. "It's not that. I just don't really know how to explain it. But… I'm pretty sure it could fit an entire dungeon."
"…HUH?!"
Lyra had thought she was done being shocked for the day—but that answer made the corner of her mouth twitch violently.
"!!!"
She honestly wanted to scream.
Is this even fair?! That's a total cheat-level ability!
In this world, there's no such thing as convenient storage bags or inventory systems.
Whenever big familia groups go on expeditions, they have to drag along massive supply teams!
It's not strength that holds them back most of the time—it's the weight of supplies, weapons, and all the loot they collect, like magic stones and materials.
But with Dan on board? Their efficiency would skyrocket. We're talking ten, twenty, maybe even a hundred times more effective!
And to think, she knew he once tried to join the Loki familia… and they rejected him.
Sure, they said it was for his own good. They didn't have the resources to care for newbies and didn't want to waste his time.
But now? Just thinking about what they missed out on made Lyra want to laugh out loud.
Hahahaha! Oh great "hero" of the Loki familia, turns out your judgment's not always spot on, huh?!
And even if the ability was only useful for carrying stuff, it'd still be incredible. But Lyra was 100% sure that terrifying energy could be used offensively too.
"Last question—how many times a day can you use that ability?"
"....."
