Itachi, knowing exactly who owned the Celestial Society, immediately deduced the author of this book.
Indeed, this novel belonged to the "Wrong Love" series and was personally written by Sakura. The book Kakuzu was currently reading was actually the very first story Sakura had ever written. As for the inspiration behind it—who else but the history teacher back in the Ninja Academy who kept endlessly raving about how amazing Hashirama Senju was, this and that? Just to take revenge on her poor ears, Sakura had written this romantic love story featuring Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha as the main characters. And wasn't it him who personally sowed discord between them long ago? Since when did their relationship become romantic? Where did such 'so-called love' come from between those two? Also, those names—Indra and Asura—should have been erased from history long ago. Why did someone still remember them?
Panicking slightly, Black Zetsu flipped through the book to find the cover page showing Indra and Asura gazing lovingly at each other, then started reading. Meanwhile, Tobi—otherwise known as Obito Uchiha—ran behind Kakuzu and began flipping through the love story of Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha.
"What the hell? This old guy actually had such a wild past?!"
Obito Uchiha and Pain had the exact same thought at the same time. Then, Pain and Konan began to look at Obito differently. Who would've guessed that this so-called Madara Uchiha, seemingly filled with hatred toward Konoha, had actually fallen into hate because of unrequited love?
Obito soon sensed the two strange looks directed at him. After hesitating briefly, he suddenly realized something—he was perceived by Pain and Konan as Madara Uchiha. Which meant that, in their eyes, he had now turned into a gay character?! Thinking of this, Obito couldn't help but mutter a curse under his breath. But he couldn't just blurt out that he wasn't the real Madara Uchiha either. This feeling was genuinely suffocating.
"Hey, Sasori-no-danna, quickly come here! Look, there's even a novel about your enemy Kakashi Hatake too!"
Sitting on the ground flipping through a book, Deidara suddenly shouted excitedly.
"Kakashi Hatake?" Both Sasori and Obito Uchiha felt a jolt in their minds. Almost instinctively, they walked towards where Deidara sat.
"Wrong Love: A Glimpse Through Time"
Deidara read the title and introduction of the book. "This book meticulously records the young love story between Kakashi Hatake, the Copy Ninja, and his hopeless classmate Obito Uchiha."
"What the hell!" Obito Uchiha nearly stumbled over his own feet, his face darkening beneath his mask like the bottom of a cooking pot. Screw that love story—there's no way he and that good-for-nothing Kakashi had any kind of love story.
After leaning in to take a closer look, Obito's eyes turned red. Wasn't that class photo supposed to be only in their possession? How did it end up here? There was no way Rin—their teacher—or himself would have ever released it. That left only one explanation—
"Kakashi Hatake, you bastard!"
Obito's Sharingan burned red like it might drip blood. In Obito's eyes, there was no doubt that this book had been written under Kakashi's orders. Worse yet, the experiences described within were exactly the same as those from their childhood—just rewritten in a twisted, romantic way. Moments that once seemed innocent had been forcefully reimagined into a love story between two people.
As he mentally roasted Kakashi with Fire Release jutsu, Obito's expression dimmed when he saw occasional images of Rin in the book. After all the mistakes he'd made, surely she would never forgive him if she found out?
"Huh, here's a story about the love between Second Hokage Tobirama Senju and Izuna Uchiha, and another about Jiraiya and Orochimaru. Wait a second—the 'Wrong Love Series: Temptation to Return Home'? This one's about you, Itachi, you bastard!"
Deidara shouted excitedly, as though he'd discovered treasure. The book he held clearly showed the cover image of Itachi Uchiha, Shisui Uchiha, and young Sasuke Uchiha.
"The story tells how Sasuke Uchiha, the son of the head of Konoha's prestigious Uchiha clan, fought to reclaim his older brother Itachi Uchiha's love from Shisui Uchiha."
After reading the introduction, Deidara wore a grin stretching ear to ear. Completely unaware of the Mangekyō Sharingan now activated in Itachi's eyes, Deidara burst into uncontrollable laughter, "Hahahaha! Who knew you, Itachi, liked men—and even double-dipped at that!"

Deidara clutched his head and collapsed to the ground, writhing as though death were approaching.
Without sparing a glance at Deidara, now felled by a single use of Tsukuyomi, Itachi Uchiha picked up the novel discarded onto the floor. After glancing through only a few lines, a murderous intent radiated from him.
