After clashing with Whitebeard's commanders, Good had significantly improved his mastery over both the Magu Magu no Mi (Magma-Magma Fruit) and the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi (Float-Float Fruit).
His next move against Whitebeard was a direct fusion of the two abilities.
In an instant, Good melted into magma and vanished into the ground. Moments later, the island began to quake as the terrain cracked open with glowing fissures.
Lava spewed from the splits like volcanic geysers, and the entire island rumbled violently under the pressure.
This sudden eruption blinded Marco, Vista, and the others—they had no idea where Good had gone.
"Where the hell is that maniac?!" Marco shouted, eyes scanning the battlefield.
But the waves of rising magma formed towering barriers, completely obscuring their view.
And in the sky, that lava began gathering into a massive ball—burning brighter and hotter by the second.
The heat distorted the air. The ground trembled.
Pirates who had barely escaped Meteor Volcano earlier now looked up in terror.
"Is that... the sun!?"
"This guy's stronger than Akainu!"
Even Akainu, Kizaru, Shanks, and Benn Beckman paused to stare skyward.
Above, a flaming orb loomed overhead, its size dwarfing anything they'd seen before.
Sweat poured from Yasopp's forehead—whether from the heat or fear, it was hard to tell. "That fourth Admiral... really is something else."
Lucky Roo narrowed his eyes in disbelief. Not long ago, they'd laughed at the Navy's announcement of a new Admiral with the nickname "Reckless Maniac."
But now?
That laughter was gone.
"This Reckless Maniac... might actually be something serious," Benn Beckman muttered.
Even Shanks turned to Akainu, his voice grim. "What the hell is going on with the Marines? Why does this guy have so many insane abilities?"
Kizaru, clearly in a good mood, just smirked. "Ohh~ you think we owe pirates an explanation?"
Akainu snorted and ignored the question. Truth was—he didn't know either. But after this, he was definitely going to ask Good directly. If not, he'd go to the Fleet Admiral himself.
Up on the floating battleship, Momousagi (Pink Rabbit) stood stunned.
At this altitude, she was face-to-face with the massive lava sun.
"Even Akainu doesn't have a move like this… What is this guy doing?"
Next to her, the bruised and battered Shiki let out a cold snort.
"Of course Akainu doesn't. He doesn't have the Float-Float Fruit."
Momousagi turned toward him, confused.
Since Good was on the battlefield, her job was to guard Shiki.
Shiki explained without reservation, "That maniac's technique is a fusion of the Magma-Magma Fruit and my Float-Float Fruit. He's using my power to levitate the magma and form that massive fireball."
He would know—he was the original master of the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi.
But then Shiki frowned.
How the hell was this guy learning Devil Fruit techniques so damn fast?
High above, the fiery orb kept growing.
It was now over 100 meters in diameter—glowing, trembling, alive.
Then the lava pulsed and began to morph—slowly shaping into a massive lion's head.
It hovered there, roaring with heat, its jagged teeth and fierce eyes forming from bubbling magma.
All eyes turned skyward.
Then—
"WHITEBEARD! CATCH THIS!!!"
Good's voice rang out across the battlefield.
The lion head let out a thunderous roar, and droplets of lava rained down like a hellish storm.
Even just the roar itself devastated the weaker pirates, some dropping immediately under the intense heat and pressure.
And then…
The entire molten lion shot downward—its jaws wide open, aiming to devour Whitebeard whole.
Marco and Vista tried to move in, but Whitebeard held out a hand.
"I'll handle this."
This attack was no joke—even Marco might not be able to take it.
So the old titan bent one knee and planted his massive naginata into the ground.
He would counter personally—with the full power of the Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor-Tremor Fruit).
As Whitebeard charged his strike, the ground around his blade began to tremble violently.
Ripples of pure force pulsed from the blade, causing spiderweb cracks to spread across the island.
Scarlet lightning snapped through the air like flocks of birds—there was no sound, yet everyone felt their eardrums throb.
This wasn't a casual blow.
Whitebeard was serious.
Then, with a mighty bellow—
"Quake Blade: Ittou Zan!! (One-Blade Slash!!)!"
His blade swung upward.
The ground exploded beneath his feet.
The island screamed—ripping apart as if the world itself was collapsing.
And as the blade arced through the sky—
The air shattered.
Like glass, the atmosphere cracked. Winds howled. Waves crashed. The coast trembled with tsunamis.
It looked like the end of the world.
Then the shockwave slammed directly into Good's magma lion—
BOOM!!!
The sky detonated with a sound that seemed to tear the heavens in half.
The shockwave blasted away the entire magma lion.
Cracks tore across its massive head. Then, like a statue, it shattered into flaming fragments.
In the air behind it—Good's body was revealed.
And Whitebeard's quake-blade strike hadn't stopped.
It pierced through Good's chest and soared into the sky, cutting through clouds and vaporizing anything in its path.
Good's body—cleaved from shoulder to waist—erupted in blood.
His bones, his organs… they were clearly visible.
Far above, on the floating warship, Momousagi's face went pale.
"…!"
