Thelma has lost her parents in a fatal car accident in her second year while in university.She found solace in the comfort of her friends , cousin sister and Tony's family.
Her dreams were to make her parents proud with her profound performance of her studies,she is not only intelligent but smart and beautiful.
offcource everyone has there one true love and Tony who had been her childhood sweetheart were her one true love.
Her parents dreams for her as well as her dream were to see her/herself get married to Tony after her graduation from uni and now It became Tony's parents responsibility.
Everyone rooted for them both in school and home so it became a norm that the would end up together.
Her friend's Rosella and Elma,cousin Hazel, Tony's friend Rexmond and eveyother person looked up to getting a life partner like them.
Tony was just done with his lectures when he walked out the class and sighted Thelma walking down the hallway.
He walked quickly to catch up to her,when he did he clung his hands around her shoulder,Thelma giving him a quick glance accompanied with a faint smile,they both gently walked out of the building and into the school premesise.
"Babe,he fondly called her,how aboutmovie date night tomorrow? he asked with smiles
"Sure 0"she responded and then halted as though she was sad"am really sorry but I have to leave cause I still have some studying to do for our test"
"Okay then see you later"he responded and then watched her walk away.
Just immediately Rex his friend was urging him to join them for a football match but he declined waving his hands while walking away and into the school library.
At the entrance of the hall his eyes met with Thelma's cousin and her friend's.he walked to a different spot after exchanging silence pleasantries.
He was there till he lost track of time and finally reunited with the rest of them as they made there way home.
Very early the next day Thelma woke up to fix breakfast for her and Rosella as she only has one afternoon lecture.
She walked towards her friend's room letting her know that food was ready.shortly after Rosella walked out looking very gloomy.
"Is it David again,I told you to leave that guy cause he is no good for you"Thelma lashed out jumping into her defending mode.
"We are no longer together "
"Then who is it this time,how come am only learning of it now"Thelma gave a surprise yet disappointing look at her best friend who clearly didn't allow her give him a dose of his own madness.
"Well I broke up with him yesterday"Rosella added
"Weldone,Thelma applaud patting her head lovingly,you did great but you should have took me along with you"she added
"Don't worry I gave him three against one" she replied proudly
With that the continued to speak bad of David while they eat there food.
After a few hours Thelma gestured with her hand to let her friend know she was leaving as she was on the phone but Rosella put her call on hold and told her to give her a minute.
She wasn't having it while her friend was taking long to speak with someone on the phone seeing she was going to be late for her lectures.
she moved closer and nudged her to end her call as she was gonna be late for her lessons, with that Rosella ended her call as she and the other person on the other line has already discussed the important matters,she hesitated as though she was asking her friend to forget about it,but Thelma wouldn't have it this time pressuring Rosella.
"You did this the other time and now again,there is something you are not telling me ella so please spill " Thelma snapped giving her a hard stare with her eyes.rosella pulled her friend closer to a couch and sat her down while sitting facing her.it was still as though the words were difficult for her to say but Thelma gave her a nodding sign to go ahead
"I heard Thelma, that Tony may be cheating on you but I don't know whom it is with"she paused reading her friend's countenance but Thelma looked unfazed and she proceeded
"She could be one us"she added
"I already heard it but am yet to find out the truth"Thelma responded deep in thought and sadness.
Rosella didn't say anymore but rather went in for a deep hug to comfort her friend.
"Am gonna find out"Thelma responded decidedly while putting her emotions together and then leaving for school.
AT SCHOOL
After her lectures Thelma walked into the library,she realized she was the only one there so she went to get the books she needed from the shelf but suddenly Tony and Elma walked into the library together and she couldn't help but feel anxious then her anxiety quickly surged
She glance at them as though finding evidence.
"Babe are you okay" Tony asked noticing her quietness and stiffness
Elma equally reached out to know if she was okay and Thelma nodded,realizing the fixed look she was getting she pushed her anxiety aside
"Am okay ,what are you guys doing here"she asked hoping they had come clean if they were having an affair .
"Was looking for you,how about a movie night, all of us tonight"Elma asked with excitement
"We already have plans today, right babe"Tony responded and Thelma shook her head in affirmation but then immediately brushed it off with a smile "okay then maybe next time, you two enjoy"Elma said and walked out of the library.
All the while Thelma was just watching them hopefully thinking she could get clues.The more she pondered over it ,the thought of it clouded her thoughts.
"let's go?"Tony words intercepted her thoughts,Recollecting her self in a split moments she nodded and they walked out while Tony held onto her hand
