Chapter 3 - The Most Desired Ability

"Huh?!"

"Fuck, you lunatic!"

The heavy road roller rumbled closer. Sabretooth's eyes widened, and he desperately tried to roll over and escape, but he couldn't.

He could only lie there, terror filling his body and mind, cursing emotionally while watching the massive steel roller get closer and closer in horror.

Until Death closed in, crushing him mercilessly!

"Ah…"

Click, click, click!

In the dark of night, at an abandoned construction site, a chilling scream pierced the silence, carrying far, far away.

Accompanied by the crunching sound of bones, Sabretooth was turned into a pulp of flesh.

"You're right, the process is a bit boring."

A few minutes later, Ron drove the road roller back and forth, like crushing a giant biscuit.

His expression was calm, even a little bored, as he spoke of his boredom to the unrecognizable form of Sabretooth on the ground.

It was like a scene from a horror story about a deranged killer.

If anyone had appeared there at that moment, they might have peed their pants in fright.

Half an hour.

He crushed him for a full half an hour.

Whenever the thing on the ground regained a roughly human shape, he would run over it again. After half an hour, Sabretooth was finally killed.

His super regenerative ability was impressive, but flesh and blood couldn't stand up to steel.

Ability points increased by 2,500.

Sabretooth shouldn't have died at this point; he was supposed to remain active for decades, constantly clashing with Wolverine, and even participating in Magneto's major event where he tried to turn humans into Mutants.

Although his role wasn't irreplaceable.

But now he was dead, and fate had already changed.

"Not bad, almost recouped my investment."

This was just the beginning.

"I have the ticket; it's time to prepare for entry."

He straightened his clothes, cast a final disdainful glance at Sabretooth's corpse, which was enough to give anyone nightmares for a long time, smirked, and turned to leave.

His super regenerative ability was indeed strong, but even Magneto, who constantly stirred up global incidents, had been captured alive by the military more than once and arbitrarily used as an experimental subject. What was he compared to that?

If the military hadn't wanted to keep him for their own purposes, he would have been eliminated long ago.

Ron had at least dozens of ways to kill him using only common everyday items.

"Excuse me, my name is Charles Xavier." "Erik Lehnsherr."

In a bar, the younger Magneto Erik and Professor X Charles approached a man with a Wolverine-like hairstyle. They had just friendly smiled and introduced their names, before they could say anything else.

"Get the fuck out!"

The man, with a cigar in his mouth, took a puff, didn't even turn his head, and coldly cursed, refusing to communicate, unceremoniously telling them to get lost.

"…"

Their expressions froze. They exchanged a look and had no choice but to leave.

Outside the bar.

Charles helplessly spread his hands.

"That fellow Mutant was too rude. Before I even opened my mouth, he told us to leave. There's no way to communicate."

"Although I don't know why, let's go find someone else."

Erik frowned.

What was wrong with that person inside? Had he eaten gunpowder? Or was he always that arrogant?

"Perhaps because his extremely sensitive nose smelled the mingled scents of the two of you."

A slightly playful voice came.

"He thought you two were a pair of gays looking for some fun with him, felt disgusted, and told you to get lost."

The person inside was Wolverine. At this moment, he was at his only highlight against Magneto, rudely scolding away the young Magneto. After Stryker turned him into the true Wolverine, he would always be defeated when facing Magneto.

Today, he was indifferent and cursed them, but soon Magneto taught him what it meant to "pick up and put down."

"Hmm?"

The two turned their heads to see a handsome young man leaning against a wall with his arms crossed.

"Gays? We're not…"

Hearing this, Charles quickly defended himself. He, who had always been called a playboy in college, didn't want to be misunderstood about his sexual orientation.

"I know you're not."

Ron walked over, smiling.

"Not yet, at least…"

He added.

The two in front of him were the young Magneto and Professor X. They had only recently met, brought together by a common enemy, Black King Sebastian Shaw.

Using the Cerebro built by Beast Hank, Professor X dragged Magneto, searching everywhere for fellow Mutants willing to join them in confronting him.

Erik wanted to kill Black King to avenge his mother, who had been killed by Black King when he was a child, while Charles wanted to foil his plot to trigger World War III and save the World.

"Oh, what do you mean 'not yet'? Although we are good friends, we will never have that kind of relationship."

Erik's frown deepened, but he said nothing. Charles waved his hands repeatedly, emphasizing his point with great concern.

If he gained the reputation of being gay, all those beautiful ladies would stay away from him in the future.

Ron smiled flirtatiously and said nothing, observing the two.

The current Erik was not much different from the future Magneto, except for a long-standing gloom between his brows, like a lone wolf who had lived in darkness and pain for a long time, lacking the leadership qualities of his older, more experienced self.

As for Charles, he was quite different from the saintly, benevolent, bald Professor X.

The young Professor X, rather than a calm and kind sage, was more like a combination of a scholar and a playboy. His appearance also wasn't the bald head that signified a powerful figure in his old age.

He had thick, curly brown short hair, combed back, exuding a hint of rebelliousness amidst his refined demeanor.

"I didn't expect to be misunderstood and rejected by one fellow Mutant, only to meet another as soon as I stepped out."

Charles, who was halfway through his defense, seemed to suddenly discover something surprising and scrutinized Ron up and down.

He had telepathy and mind control abilities, allowing him to sense at close range whether someone was a Mutant.

In his perception, Ron was also a Mutant, just like their target for this trip.

"My name is Charles."

A friendly smile appeared on his face as he sincerely extended his hand.

"Erik."

A fellow Mutant? Erik's eyes looked over, and he stated his name.

"Ron."

After shaking hands with Charles, Ron introduced himself succinctly, his style quite similar to Magneto's.

"Oh, I can feel you, but I can't see through your mind."

Looking at Ron, Charles's expression suddenly turned astonished.

He had already encountered one person whose thoughts he couldn't penetrate: White Queen Emma, who was with Black King. But Emma was also a powerful psychic.

But this fellow Mutant wasn't; he didn't have any psychic abilities. How did he do that?

"Are you prying into my thoughts?"

The system could spend ability points to block the detection of his memories and thoughts, preventing anyone from knowing the system's existence. This was the system's most basic rule and ability for protecting its host.

Ron glanced at the few dozen missing ability points, and his face instantly darkened.

"I'm sorry, Ron, I didn't mean to."

Caught red-handed, this newly acquainted fellow Mutant seemed very resistant. Charles gave an awkward smile and quickly apologized.

The current Professor X was not as steady as his older self, who would greatly respect others and exercise self-restraint.

The young him, whenever he wanted to know something, would immediately use his ability to pry into others' memories and thoughts, almost as if it had become an instinct.

Ron had known this all along and was prepared to spend ability points. He had anticipated it when it happened, so he was very calm inside, but he still showed this expression.

Only by doing so could he make Charles curb this behavior towards him!

"Charles, I told you, no one likes to have their past memories casually flipped through, or all their thoughts controlled by others."

At this moment, recalling his own experience of having his memories pried into, Erik's expression was displeased and his tone cold.

"Uh, I won't do that again."

Facing their cold, oppressive gazes, the future Professor X Charles was extremely embarrassed, apologizing and promising repeatedly.

"Ahem, fellow Mutant, we are saving the World. Do you want to join us?"

Then, he changed the subject, winked at Ron, and uttered that very cool phrase used to recruit other Mutants, extending an invitation.

Saving the World, what a cool thing to do. He believed no one could refuse.

Who hadn't fantasized about saving the World in their youth?

A few days later, at a CIA secret Base.

At night, in a room used for recreational relaxation by public officials.

Sitting by the bar, Ron slowly drank a glass of whiskey, looking at the few people sitting on the sofa by the floor-to-ceiling window, shaking his head dismissively.

"My name is Raven. What are your names, and what are your abilities?

I've decided to give myself a codename: Mystique!"

Equally naive, Mystique, who had followed Charles since childhood, and Beast Hank, who was involved in research matters at this Base, along with the other Mutants recruited by Professor X, excitedly introduced themselves to each other, like they were having a social party.

"A bunch of giggling, young, chuunibyou guys, completely unaware of the seriousness of the situation, thinking it's cool to be recruited into a special department of the CIA and participate in saving the World."

Ron accepted the so-called invitation to save the World and returned with the future Magneto and Professor X to a secret CIA Base where they were temporarily staying.

Not because of the extremely cool act of saving the World, but because he wanted to disrupt fate and gain ability points.

After figuring out the current time in the X-Men Universe, he immediately had a goal for acquiring abilities.

Ron's eyes showed fervor as he took a sip of his drink.

"In this time period of the X-Men Universe, the person whose ability I most want to obtain is not Magneto, who can manipulate magnetic fields, nor Professor X, who can mentally control others, but Black King Sebastian Shaw!"

The Mutant Black King, controller of the Hellfire Club, possesses the ability to absorb all forms of energy such as kinetic energy, Fire, electricity, and nuclear energy, then convert it into his own energy and release it.

He once completely drained the nuclear energy from the nuclear reactor responsible for powering a nuclear submarine.

A supervillain whom even Magneto and Professor X had to team up to cunningly defeat in the end!

And he… was coming soon!
