"Who would steal it? I just asked the elders earlier, and they gave it to me."
"Asked? Kid, do you think you haven't stolen enough already? Those elders are decades old—they gave it to you because they can't handle your nonsense anymore!"
"Isn't that basically the same thing?" After speaking, Shen set aside the scroll and picked up another blank one, resuming his writing.
