Sunday arrived like usual. Kazuki planned to head to his favorite bookstore to grab the latest volume of his favorite manga. But just as he stepped out of his dorm—
"Eh, Kazuki? Where are you going?"
Aira suddenly popped out from behind a street pole, carrying a plastic bag.
Kazuki paused. "Bookstore."
"Me too! Let's go together!"
Kazuki wanted to say no, but Aira was already walking ahead. Damn it, why is she always like this?
On the way there, they chatted… or rather, Aira kept talking, and Kazuki just nodded from time to time. Strangely enough, he didn't feel annoyed. Even when Aira started talking about her neighbor's cat that picks its nose, Kazuki smiled faintly.
At the bookstore, they bought different things—Kazuki got manga, and Aira picked up a romance novel.
"So, you're into love stories too?"
Kazuki asked casually.
Aira nodded shyly.
"Of course. I need to understand guys like you—cool and distant."
Kazuki went silent for a second. Aira suddenly felt... kinda sweet. But before he could say anything—
"KAZUKIIIII!!!"
Suguru appeared out of nowhere, holding a Polaroid camera.
"Whoa! You two on a date?! Say cheese!"
Kazuki: "IT'S NOT A DATE, YOU IDIOT!"
But of course, the photo was already taken—capturing a moment neither of them would forget.
