Immediately as Lucius said it, everyone cleared and began packing up their tents… which honestly made the entire scene look like a bunch of startled ants scrambling after someone kicked the hill.
The sudden shift from relaxed morning sluggishness to frantic work was so dramatic that Vanessa could only sigh as she crossed her arms.
"Just ask him if he wants breakfast… grapes won't do him any good," she said with a tired expression.
Grimm nodded obediently and hurried across camp toward the two men who were still carrying Lucius on their shoulders like some kind of royal palanquin.
When Grimm reached them, he paused, unsure if he should bow or salute or just… stand.
Lucius looked down at him with an expression that was vaguely unfamiliar… his eyes were distant and his posture was very aristocratic while his hand daintily plucking grapes off the stick Ayela was holding.
