Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan were all utterly stunned, their eyes widening in disbelief as their faces drained of color. Their long-held beliefs shattered in that instant.
"Agreed!" Minato Namikaze responded without a moment's hesitation.
Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan's faces contorted in terror. Facing the Hokage and Mizukage, along with their respective elite forces, they were hopelessly outnumbered. Even if the entire Akatsuki organization had been present, they would have had no chance of survival.
"Is this… the true nature of this world? Everything Akatsuki believed in… was it all a cruel joke?" Yahiko whispered, his face pale, his spirit crushed by the revelation.
Nagato and Konan felt the same, overwhelmed by self-derision and bitter resentment. Only now did they realize how incredibly naive they had been. Tragically, their naiveté would cost them their lives.
"So, those Akatsuki members were truly your intended targets!"
At that tense moment, a voice suddenly cut through the air.
A young man in a Konoha Military Police uniform, from the Konoha side, spoke to a Konoha ANBU operative.

All eyes instantly fell upon the Konoha Military Policeman. Their expressions were a mixture of shock and confusion.
Those under Obito's control remained impassive and emotionless. Yahiko, Nagato, Konan, and Obito, disguised as an ANBU operative, were visibly shocked and astonished.
"What do you mean by that?" Yahiko asked Kouki, his confusion evident.
"Don't you understand? Both Konoha and Kirigakure shinobi are under genjutsu. They're all being controlled!" Kouki shrugged, explaining the situation.
"So… that's how it is!" Yahiko and the others were utterly stunned, their faces reflecting a profound disbelief. The Hokage and Mizukage, top-tier shinobi in the ninja world—who could possibly possess such influence and power?
"Sir, are you the one manipulating everything? Who are you? What is the purpose of your machinations?" Konan glared intently at Obito, her voice low and demanding.
She didn't doubt Kouki's words, for since he revealed the truth, the Hokage and Mizukage had ceased all action, subconsciously looking to him for further instructions. It was clear they were under his control.
"What…? You weren't affected by my genjutsu? That's impossible!" Obito was utterly astounded.
Ignoring Konan's question, he stared fixedly at Kouki, completely bewildered. That was a Mangekyo Sharingan genjutsu, capable of perfectly controlling even Jinchuriki, yet this individual remained completely unaffected?
"In this world, nothing is impossible," Kouki replied dismissively.
"Who… exactly… are you?!" Obito roared at Kouki, his voice laced with rage and hatred.
"Someone you are not worthy of using as a pawn," Kouki shrugged, his expression nonchalant. "Since you made the mistake of targeting me, consider yourself exceedingly unlucky…"
Kouki had initially feigned compliance with Obito's plan, hoping to follow him to his secret base and take advantage of the opportunity to perform a system sign-in.
That had been his sole intention.
However, it now appeared that this was no longer a viable option.
Obito would likely eliminate them all once he had finished using them. Whether Minato Namikaze's life would be spared was uncertain, but they, as mere pawns, were almost certainly doomed.
Under these circumstances, Kouki would no longer cooperate with Obito's schemes. He had absolutely no intention of being manipulated or used as a mere puppet.
After his initial moment of uncertainty, Kouki had completely grasped the true nature of Obito's elaborate plan.
It was abundantly clear that Obito's actions were designed to provoke Nagato, shatter his unwavering faith in peace, and ultimately bring him under Obito's complete control.
In the original Naruto storyline, Nagato's descent into darkness was directly attributed to the combined efforts of Hanzo and Danzo, culminating in the tragic death of Yahiko.
However, the true mastermind behind this entire operation was Danzo.
While Hanzo had heard of Akatsuki's reputation, he hadn't initially taken them seriously.
The underlying reason for this was that Danzo, by sheer chance, had witnessed Nagato utilizing the Rinnegan to summon the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. This astonishing display had ignited Danzo's avarice, fueling his desire to obtain the Rinnegan for himself.
Consequently, Danzo began to subtly manipulate events, ultimately succeeding in persuading Hanzo to join forces with him in a coordinated attack against Akatsuki. Obito, meanwhile, remained in the shadows, subtly influencing events to further his own agenda.
