Cheongdam, Seoul – 09:50 AM Celeste Langley's Private Penthouse, 20th Floor
A single envelope sat squarely atop the marble coffee table.
Jinwoo held it with both hands, bowing ever so slightly.
"This is… the draft contract we discussed."
Celeste glanced at him silently before reaching out to take it. The gold-embossed Langley ENTERTAINMENT logo shimmered under the soft daylight.
"Did you have time to read through it?"
"Yes. Twice last night, and once more this morning."
Without a word, Celeste pulled the papers from the envelope. Expression unreadable, she picked up a slim pen and began flipping through page by page.
"Clause 6. Confidentiality. You understand this one?"
"…Yes. Any company-related or personal matters—including private interactions with you—must not be disclosed even after contract termination. Otherwise, I'd face both civil and criminal liability."
"Exactly. Anything involving me, including entering this space, counts as confidential."
Jinwoo gave a small nod, eyes steady.
"Understood. I'm good at keeping secrets."
Celeste turned the page.
"Clause 7. Residential terms."
"Unit 2 on the 19th floor. Howard said it's ready anytime."
"Right. Daniel uses Unit 1. If anything comes up, talk to him. You'll get your access badge from Howard before you leave."
"So, living on company property instead of outside housing… You're fine with that?"
"Grateful, actually."
She reached the final page, and without a word, slid the pen toward him.
"Then… go ahead and sign."
Jinwoo exhaled slowly and penned his name:
Joo Jinwoo
Just as Celeste reached to add her signature—
"Ah, wait. One second."
He tugged the contract back and pulled a stubby pencil from his pocket, scribbling something into the white space beneath the last line.
Addendum Clause — Romantic involvement permitted with mutual consent. 💕(May not be legally binding, but if signed, it'll be binding in my heart—forever.)
Celeste stared down at the ridiculous scrawl in silence.
"…What is this?"
"The clause I forgot to add yesterday."
He tilted his head, grinning.
"Sure, it might not hold up in court, but if you sign it… it's real to me."
"Jinwoo, you can't just add nonsense to legal documents."
"Who said it's nonsense? I'm serious."
He rested his chin on his hand, eyes wide in mock innocence.
"Right here~ Just one signature by this tiny clause~ I'll be yours for life~💕"
Celeste closed her eyes, then opened them again slowly.
"You're unbelievable…"
But her lips twitched despite herself. She reached for the pen again.
"Fine. But only if you don't break your contract. Then maybe I'll consider honoring it."
And with that, she signed beneath his line. Right next to the little heart.
Jinwoo hugged the papers like they were sacred scrolls.
"She actually signed it… Can I make a copy and carry it in my wallet forever?"
Celeste sighed.
"You really are hopeless. You look normal. But this—this is your true form, huh?"
"Hey. When you're in front of the girl you like, what else matters? I'm just following my heart."
He beamed like a fool.
"Gosh… I'm so happy I could burst~"
