To realize that ideal, there's a lot that needs to be done.
Even the 996 Schedule might not be enough—maybe even a 007 Schedule was in the cards.
That made Uchiha Hikaru think of how Naruto Uzumaki had to rely on shadow clones just to keep up when he became the Seventh Hokage.
And if Hikaru really made it to that position, he wouldn't just be handling matters inside the Hidden Leaf Village.
The thought alone sent a chill down his naturally lazy spine.
Already resentful of the 996 grind in his past life, there was no way he wanted to repeat it in this one.
'There has to be a way to get the best of both worlds…'
As he thought about it, Hikaru remembered the scene during lunch earlier.
A spark of inspiration flashed across his mind.
"That's it! I'll just be a hands-off boss."
Hikaru wanted to become Hokage—but without the exhaustion. That meant handing off the actual work to others.
Like Tsunade. She was the Fifth Hokage and definitely capable.
A little unreliable at times, sure, but overall she did a decent job.
Not to mention people like Orochimaru, who managed to found the Sound Village all by himself.
Konoha had no shortage of talent. The Legendary Sannin alone could each run a hidden village.
Then there were others—White Fang, the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze, and Kakashi Hatake, to name a few.
So once he achieved the title of Hokage, he could delegate the trivial stuff to others.
All Hikaru had to do was guide the big picture and back it up with enough strength to make it all stick.
Just like Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage, when he dreamed of forming a ninja village and ending the Warring States era to bring peace to the ninja world.
Back then, there were definitely people who opposed the idea because it hurt their interests. But did that even matter?
With Madara Uchiha and Hashirama working together, who in the ninja world would dare speak up and say "no"?
Probably anyone who did would find themselves mysteriously impaled by dozens of kunai the next day.
They wouldn't even need to get their hands dirty—their own people would handle the "problem."
"Susanoo with the Buddha statue—two guys wiped out four nations" wasn't just a joke.
Anyone who dared go against Hashirama had to be prepared for the rest of the nations to be wiped out along with the dissenters. Then the village would be built anyway.
When the two strongest shinobi of the time stood together, every opposition faded into silence.
What Hikaru needed was to be invincible. A one-man army.
And for him, that wasn't even difficult. The Idle Training System had already reserved the heavenly throne for him.
Maybe just a few years. Maybe even faster. With the system, he'd become unbeatable.
The more important thing now was spreading his ideals and gaining support.
After all, even if he conquered the world with overwhelming force, it wouldn't mean anything if no one was willing to work under him.
If he couldn't bring the Legendary Sannin or White Fang onto his team, he'd never be able to become a hands-off Hokage.
What, was he supposed to follow in Naruto's footsteps and work overtime using shadow clones?
That kind of life wasn't what Hikaru wanted.
Even if it wouldn't be hard for him, things still had to be done. Progress required planning.
Just imagining the future—leaving all the work to White Fang and the Fourth, while he spent his days flirting with Tsunade—Hikaru sat upright.
He had to work hard now for that sweet future.
He picked up the scroll for Fireball Jutsu and began to study it carefully.
By then, night had already fallen.
The light inside Hikaru's room slowly flickered on, a quiet testament to his determination.
Time flew by. It had already been over two weeks since Uchiha Hikaru awakened his ambition and decided to become Hokage.
In that time, Hikaru hadn't left the house except to buy groceries.
Partly because, deep down, he was still an adult—he just couldn't get along with little kids.
And partly because Konoha wasn't exactly a fun place right now. Sure, it had some modern conveniences, but it was nothing like 21st-century Earth.
Even though the war was coming to an end, the dead were still dead. Funerals were being held everywhere.
The entire village was wrapped in a heavy atmosphere of mourning. Even the usual small festivals had been canceled.
Between these two reasons, Hikaru had no interest in going out to play.
But that didn't mean his time had been wasted.
[Host: Uchiha Hikaru
Abilities: One-Tomoe Sharingan (Green) Lv8, Uchiha Bloodline (Green) Lv10, Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu (Green), Fire Style: Phoenix Fire Jutsu, Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Jutsu, Cooking (White)
Idle Slots: One-Tomoe Sharingan, Uchiha Bloodline
Power Level: 15 (Don't be fooled by the double digits—it's still trash)]
First, the two skills set on idle training had improved. His Uchiha Bloodline had reached level 10. Just one more push and it would rank up to Blue Grade, which should bring a noticeable boost.
That skill alone had strengthened his body, sharpened his reflexes, and enhanced his natural talent.
The proof? Hikaru had managed to learn all three jutsu left behind by his parents within a week.
While his use of those jutsu was still rudimentary and lacked real power, that didn't matter. He could still put them in the idle training slots for passive gains.
The bloodline upgrade had made learning ninjutsu far easier for him.
With better talent, his training efficiency increased—especially when paired with the system.
Naruto is also known as Legend of the Eyes or Otsutsuki Family Drama—in this world, having pure bloodline really does raise a ninja's potential.
So when this happened, Hikaru was actually thrilled.
His Sharingan had grown slower by comparison, probably because the system had prioritized enhancing the body through diet and physical growth, so most of the idle training benefits had gone to his bloodline.
Still, that was fine. His progress was already fast.
By his estimate, in about half a month, his Sharingan would also level up.
But today, Hikaru had to step out of his comfort zone and head into the village.
Thinking back to this morning's events, he couldn't help feeling a little smug.
He'd been resting when someone knocked on the door, waking him up.
The knock came with a voice—young and unfamiliar.
"Anyone home? I'm Uchiha Noboru, here with a message from the clan."
That made Hikaru frown slightly.
He hadn't gone out lately, and the original body's parents didn't have any close friends. Why would someone from the clan come looking for him?
Still, he opened the door. This was Uchiha territory, after all.
No one would be dumb enough to impersonate an Uchiha here and try something shady.
