The young Leo-kin tilted his head as he stared at the corpse underneath him. Blood gushed out of the impaled part, creating a puddle underneath.
However, before it could even pool up in one place, the rain swept it.
"Young master…"
While he remained frozen atop the corpse, a figure emerged behind him.
"Did you deal with them?" He asked, his voice grim.
"Yes, sir!"
The figure behind answered while kneeling.
The figure belonged to an old Leo-Kin with a white mane and emerald pupils. He was dressed in a black cloak with his top revealed.
Hearing the response of the figure behind him, the young Leo-kin closed his eyes as if recalling something. Then he opened his eyes and stared at the corpse.
His crimson eyes revealed deep-rooted hatred as he glared at the corpse.
"Father…" He muttered, albeit in a low whisper.

The elves were still held captive in the wolf-kin village.
However, their living condition were much better than before. From struggling to secure a single meal a day to being able to eat twice a day. One could argue their living condition had seen a drastic improvement.
It had been more than a month since their capture.
During this time, the wolf-kin had tried to interrogate them a lot. However, due to the language barrier, a stable connection couldn't be established.
Hence, because of it, the interrogation was put to a halt after some sessions.
But it didn't mean the wolf-kin gave up on it.
Instead, the wolf-kin appointed a few of their most intelligent members of the tribe to learn about their language.
Lina, having grown closer to Lira, taught Lira the language of Thalvion elves.
Though it was harder in the beginning but with her excellent intelligence, Lira managed to grasp the language spoken by the Thalvion elves.
"Language barrier is a pain in the ass!" Ethan smacked his head as he frowned, thinking about the language barrier.
It had taken the wolf-kin months to learn one Elven language. Though he was glad about the achievement, he couldn't help but feel worried about other languages.
He could tell there were other languages, too, in this world.
Though he could understand all the languages, the same couldn't be said about his followers. The inhabitants of the world didn't have a universal mother tongue, making it hard to communicate.
If one language took this long to learn, then who knows how long it would take to learn other tribal languages.
From this encounter, he also figured that the language differed even among different tribes. Meaning there wasn't one particular elven language, but it differed from tribe to tribe.
"Isn't there a solution?" Ethan wondered, the frown on his face deepening. "Perhaps I can find something in the shop."
Ethan then proceeded to check the store in hopes of finding something to solve the problem. There were two types of shops he could access.
One being the dimensional shop that allowed him to trade for stuff from other universes. However, this feature had a drawback; he couldn't use these traded goods in the real world.
The other shop was called Divine Treasury or Worldbound Shop.
From here, he could purchase the blessings, artifacts, and other stuff he could use in the real world.
Hence, it was meaningless to head to the Dimensional Shop.
If he wanted the solution to his immediate problem, Worldbound Shop was a better option.
Just as he clicked on the Worldbound Shop, he found himself in a vault adorned with gold and jewels. The vault had three round tables, adorned with gold.
On top of the table rested something that looked like an unopened scroll.
The title of the scroll was written on the table, and if he wanted to inspect the scroll, he would have to open it.
[Blessing of Fire]
[Blessing of water]
[Blessing of wind]
Currently, he had three options. However, the cost of one scroll was enough to drain all his points. Hence, even though he had three options, he could only purchase one.
Ethan proceeded to inspect each one of them until he set his sight on one.
[Blessing of the wind]
[Effect: Allows the caster to bypass all language barriers by carrying their voice as pure meaning through the air. Listeners hear words as if spoken in their native tongue.]
[Drawback: Ineffective in areas with no air or during strong magical interference with sound.]
Ethan had been looking for something to break the language barrier, and he found one.
Upon finding what he was looking for, Ethan couldn't help but rejoice. His face beamed with a bright smile as he found the suitable blessing.
Perhaps the system had considered this problem beforehand.
It could also be his luck that he found what he was looking for.
Whatever the reason, Ethan was glad he found the blessing. However, a problem arose as he looked at the cost.
"What! Ten Thousand miracle points?" Ethan screamed in frustration.
The cost for the blessing was ridiculous.
Ethan had scrambled a little over ten thousand miracle points in a year. That too was possible because of the bonuses he triggered.
If he hadn't triggered bonuses, he wouldn't have managed to accumulate that much.
But now, the system was asking him to spend all his hard-earned points for one blessing.
What kind of joke was this?
Was the system playing pranks on him?
Ethan squinched his eyes as he rubbed his temples, attempting to relieve the frustration he felt. He pressed his eyebrows with his fingers, massaging them gently.
Even if this blessing was what he needed, he couldn't bring himself to spend all the miracle points he had stashed.
"But… It could be a great investment for the future," Ethan mumbled, his tone rather meek. "Think about the long term, Ethan! Think about the long term!"
Ethan reminded himself as he tried to convince himself.
Though rather hesitant, Ethan ended up purchasing the blessing.
Thankfully, he could bestow this blessing on the entire tribe. Otherwise, it would have been disastrous.
"Well, at least, it's a permanent blessing…" Ethan mumbled in satisfaction.
